Might actually restart my game with these :v:
Original list, do not steal
Oblivion has both the best (Shivering Isles) and the worst (Horse armor) DLC of all the TES games.
I'm a warrior and I'm in Kvatch, literally the first thing I'm told to do after the tutorial. I'm fighting these and they're making me their prison bitch:
Don't think you're supposed to head to Kvatch right away, or at least I never did. Explore some, do sidequests, the arena/fighters guild are great places to start out imo. Especially considering you're a Warrior, theres a bunch of relevant trainers in both.
Join the fighter's guild. Also, I thought you would have more problems with these asshole:
I haven't encountered them yet. Go to town, go to Bleak Falls Barrow, or go to Whiterun, then go to Bleak Falls Barrow, then proceed. Kind of figured Kvatch was the BFB of Oblivion.

[editline]12th August 2013[/editline]
These are the true assholes of oblivion [editline]11th August 2013[/editline] Also the scamps you are fighting are actually Level 7 so that explains why you are getting your ass kicked.
First time I got Wabbajack, I hit an Imp with it; turned straight into a daedroth. Wasn't fun.
Oblivion has both the best (Shivering Isles) and the worst (Horse armor) DLC of all the TES games.
Well, the Horse Armor was when DLC was a brand new thing and no one really knew what to do with it. And, Shivering Isles is an expansion pack. Not any dumb DLC.
I get this quest from the Fighters Guild. Find out what's killing this old lady's rats. Mountain lions. She asks me to find a hunter and track down the lions. We're on our way, I find them. I launch an arrow. It goes through the lion and does nothing, lion doesn't move. I hit it with another arrow, hits it this time, all four lions lunge at me with awful physics. Then the hunter guy interrupts the fight to say "If they're around here, I'll find them" or something.. then walks off, leaving me to fight all four. Hahaha I can't do this, it's horribad. Oh well, at least it was only $5.
I don't remember oblivion's daedra looking so shitty Clanfears are the worst daedra. Screw the blue folk with the claymores- fucking clanfears. I've never actualy killed one in morrowind too. I've killed dremora, ashvampires and whatnot... but not clanfear. A game without leveling gives you a few phobias, ya know?
huh I never found Oblivion particularly difficult, then again I always played with the difficulty around medium always hated how everything auto leveled with you though
I like how before launch they made it sound like "NPC's will practice and actually level up like you do as the game progresses!" making it sound like certain NPC's would be super good later on dynamically from practicing a whole bunch and they were dynamically their own characters and such in a way But in reality they just straight up had all the enemies (and only the enemies) match your level and gear lol automatically. [editline]12th August 2013[/editline] It's still sad how that 2005/2006 E3 reveal demo of Oblivion basically trumps everything that bethesda have successfully accomplished in their games to date and played out exactly as we dreamed an elderscrolls game would play, but they somehow are only able to do that kind of stuff when they bother to heavily script it. It's just annoying because clearly beth have the right ideas but they never end up actually implementing them into the entire game.
I guess time may also be a problem. Especially for Skyrim, it had to come out on 11.11.11, no matter how broken it was on release.
Wow I actually managed to pull off a working stealth theif/mage hybrid Breton character in morrowind without rats pummeling me into the ground. Mystisysimgcxsjzzdf gives you so much dickish thief potential, using telekinesis to stealth shit from afar
There was more wrong with Oblivion on release than with Skyrim
Still implies the same causes were the reason; It's rushed out in a buggy state.
Join the fighter's guild. Also, I thought you would have more problems with these asshole:
That goddamn leaping attack Even at point blank when they are pressed up against you they'll still do the leaping attack. And you can't dodge it, you could literally run a 360 around them while they are in the air, and they'll rotate mid air to hit you.
Still implies the same causes were the reason; It's rushed out in a buggy state.
And things were cut because of consoles such as the "soft shadows" feature from the E3 Demo.
Things were also cut from Skyrim, like the geared up thing. They simply didn't have time to fix it and had to scrap it. I also heard that radiant AI in Oblivion went straight to hell.
But... will it have stolen sweetrolls?

Honestly I'd rather bethesda get back to the basics before they try any crazy next gen shit. Skyrim is a good enough game that it's glaring flaws can be overlooked, but if Bethesda wrecks the next game entirely in the gameplay department, however good or bad the graphics are won't matter in the slightest. Show me a good combat system, proper NPC interactions and in-depth AND intuitive RPG mechanics and we'll start talking graphics
Who here plays as a conjurer? I'm having a real hard time with survivability. I'm level 11 and I die to things that never killed my stealth archer. I'm even trying to make Light Armor with conjuring enchantments and light armor bonuses and I can die to two hits by some creatures and bandits. It's crazy.
For TES VI, show me a game world that doesn't suck the players cock from the get-go, Bethesda. One that justifies itself with detailed, dense world design and forceful writing instead of slapping a template on literally everything. If TES VI is another back-to-back dungeon crawl... ugh.
Really wondering where the next real Elder Scrolls game will be set. Honestly can't decide which I'd want to see the most.
Conjuring sucks in vanilla Skyrim... What mods are you using?
Nothing that changes gameplay.
Conjuring sucks in vanilla Skyrim... What mods are you using?
What how? The minions are great as are bound weapons if you spec right I guess you can't be a PURE Conjurer straight off the bat as that might prove difficult but it doesn't take long for conjuration to really pick up at least from my experience..

The dremora lords leave nothing alive, nobody and nothing will be spared. My companion got in a fight with them by accident and they sorted his attitude out real quick
My save's managed to go break itself again. Trying to load any save more than 3 times will crash me. No one else has this problem, but I'm certain it's a issue with my scripts piling up on top of eachother and the VM just shitting itself. I need a better processor.
In the lands of disappointment. TES IV hasn't even been announced and I can already guarantee that Witcher 3 is going to blow the socks off TES IV. Bethesda doesn't have a monopoly in this genre anymore and they're going to get a massive wakeup-call when they realize that fans only tolerated their bullshit because they were the only ones. The Witcher series blows TES out of the water with better characters, story, writing, world interaction, and graphics. It just hasn't been open-world until now. (Oh, and Witcher is also DRM free and gets free DLC lololol). I'm not sure if W3 has mod support though. Bethesda has fallen from their hay days and they need to get their shit together. Skyrim was a disgrace of an RPG. I think even most dudebro shooters have more world-interaction.
lets not exaggerate how bad it is it just hasn't innovated much if any at all from Oblivion which is sad since that came out like what 7 years now ago so thats pretty disgraceful yeah. I really hope the witcher makes them reach new heights with their new game, and any other new open world RPG games that will follow the witcher [editline]12th August 2013[/editline]
Conjuration is pretty bland, not much to summon. End game is just spamming conjurations against enemies. I was hoping for conjured things to do more than just killing with elemental attacks or regular physical attacks. I'm talking about conjurations that can buff you, cast illusion spells on enemies, do work like collecting items, mining ore veins, stuff like that. Flaming familiar can wreck everything as well since they do a lot of damage on explosion.
there's illusion and alteration magic for some of the stuff you're talking about but yea being bland isn't conjuration, it's magic period in TES games (in my opinion)

Sorry, but that bothered me because I thought you were talking about Oblivion for some reason.

I'm personally not bothered about the Witcher. I know it does a lot of shit better than TES (arguably everything); but I'm not sure it has the legendary amount of lore that TES does, and that's what draws me in about it. The day the Witcher universe has something comparable to The Battle of Red Mountain, is the day I change my tune.
