Does anyone know how I can make something glow in the dark in skyrim?
Alternatively, can someone think of something that glows in the dark in the vanilla game (or a mod even) so I can look into it?

That stuff is usually handled through a high contrast glow map and would probably need to be implemented in nifskope/creation kit.
Though there may be easier effects already in creation kit, wouldn't be sure of that though

Nirnroot
Nirnroot models probably have a glowmap applied to them, and the other effect is just a glowing sprite fixed to it.
Mind you that could also be a good way of making other things appear like they are glowing.

I never noticed until now how terrifying of a job being a pickpocket is in morrowind.
You slowly creep up on your mark, them totally unaware of your presence, you begin to get within reaching distance when suddenly... your mark whirls around in a full 180 in a fraction of a second and shouts IS THERE SOMETHING YOU NEEEEEEED
80 mods in and I'm finally happy with my game.
I am 64 mods in and my game wouldn't load half the time. It wasn't even broken savegames as it randomly decided to load the same saves later. It's like RUssian roulette. I'm not even sure what's wrong.
Then i went to Falskaar and everything works all dandy and shit. Those are global mods.
80? step it up
200 is the bare minimum
200 will cause your game to seize up and stop trying.
Depends.
you people are fucking crazy

I know it makes sense in terms of lore but I always hated that. Oblivion's population was so much more varied and interesting

Well, that also made sense in terms of lore as it was the center of Tamriel. Its bound to be more diverse.
Though yeah, I tend to agree. The lack of variety was a bit irksome.
I love argonians, and I got so mad when I found out there's less than 10 in the entirety of Skyrim.
I just finish Shivering Isles and I got a question:
Why Skyrim Sheogorath calls himself a daedra when everybody in the SI tells you "you may have Sheogorath power but cannot become a true daedra prince?
I know it makes sense in terms of lore but I always hated that. Oblivion's population was so much more varied and interesting
While that may be true, fuck da lore is not a good attitude. Cyrodill is a cosmopolitan province so that's the way it's represented in oblivion.

Your Oblivion character probably slowly become a Daedra Prince over time, his a-lot nicer and even has a serious moment then the other previous Sheogorath.
I love how every game's Previous Player Character always end up going "fuck this" and flying off to destiny/land/plot device. That or they all hang out in CHIM meeting boards and wait for the dragonborn to join the ranks

I can only imagine the Oblivion character hanging around the CHIM meeting spot after Shivering Isles.
"CHEESE? CHEESE!? WHERE IS MY CHEESES! HASKILL!"
"Quick, Haskill, I need to skip rope. Where's some fool's innards?"
you people are fucking crazy
These tend to be the same people complaining about crashes.
(skyrim) is there a fix for filled containers being really slow? my follower is full of items and i do not like having to wait 6 seconds between each item
Then there is issue of Skyrim have a hardcoded limit of 3.1 Gb RAM usage. This has caused me to give up on playing my ideal Skyrim eventhough I have plenty of RAM to spare.
A bit late, but the latest ENB/ENBoost fixes this by giving you the option to reduce the game memory and inject the TESV.exe with a hack to expand the max memory for 64bit OS'.

My first run through SI I actually started talking like Sheogorath at one point.
[editline]12th August 2013[/editline]
It was quite a laugh.

I went arround reverse pickedpocking hoods with "fortify speechcraft and personality"
Half of the isles use them :v:
[editline]13th August 2013[/editline]
Also, what is the point of hand-to-hand style? Does it works as alternative to blunt and blade or is just for the shits and giggles of goign arround ninjutsu mudcrabs and rats?
I really hope the next TES has larger dungeons that are actually labyrinthian in size and mazelike, as optional super hard ones.
I know a lot of more casual players wouldn't like that but couldn't they like, make the entrances to these types of dungeons really well hidden or have a set of requirements? Hell even a simple warning NPC telling you that you probably won't make it through would work - and it would make it even more immersive.
I mean, imagine disregarding one of those NPCS like the elf who runs from kvatch or that girl when you go with delphine to the first dragon burial mound, except people would realize "oh shit he's right"
I do hope it's more... I don't know what to say, in depth? More lore I suppose.

His documentation is fucking shit though. I had the crashes intensify in interval before i set the allocated memory to 64.

like... 5-6 of skyrims dungeons actually fulfill that.

Boris' a bit shit on documentation. If you can wade through the comments on the page you should get a lot of help on it.
Also he majorly changed how the video memory is managed in the latest ENB, so his recommended settings aren't the same as they initially were.

Play Daggerfall.
But seriously. Large dungeons are just pain in the ass. Rather have small/medium size dungeons with lots of interesting content.
Not if you had a spell like Clairvoyance.

This doesn't bother me as much since in Morrowind it was even worse. (taken from here)
while there are over three times as many people in Morrowind as there are in Oblivion, the actual populations of Morrowind and Cyrodiil are guessed to be much closer in number, based on relative area.
