What's chim?
edit- lol
What's chim?
CHIM is what happens when you look at the wheel from the side, and realise that it is in fact a tower, and that the tower spells "I", and therefore you are in fact the wheel. It basically explains the universe and the meaning of everything.
I suggest you read this thoroughly and commit it to memory, and then everything will make sense. http://www.imperial-library.info/node/1259/

The in-lore explanation for how unspeakably buggy TES games are.
It was a joke I know what chim is, please stop lol

still someone else will inevitably ask since it was brought up
CHIM is what happens when you pay someone as scatterbrained as Kirkbride to come up with an explanation for his gibberish laden purple-prose.
He had some cool ideas, but there's a fucking limit goddamnit, and we passed it when there's more shit to know about Vivec than about the rest of Mundus.
Hello my name is The Jack.
Today I propose that you could collect Chaurus shit and fashion armor out of it if you have allotted the proper points for Chaurus shitsmithing, which is its own subset of a radically complex and needlessly realistic skill system based off of Encyclopedia Britannica entries under "Magical Beasts" and Organic Chemistry.
also, player and NPC nipple size should increase commensurately to aptitude in frost magic
(with a small chance of piercing the thorax of nearby NPCs at lvl100, depending on height)
Not gonna joke around now; Even without such an entry that'd actualy be pretty cool.

You ragging on Vivec?
Cause thems fightin words.
Someone should make a mod which adds generic members to Fort Dawnguard, considering all the Dawnguard members constantly being sent to kill you if you join Harkon's side. Does Isran just send every new recruit to murder you.
first question why the fuck are you spoiler tagging chim, it's not a spoiler
It was a joking attempt at hiding it.

The whole place feels super empty

Damn right I am. Whatchu gonna do about it?
To anyone who can't code: it pretty much is.
Maybe if you were talking about a real coding language.
Bethesda can't code, and they made the modding engine you need for Skyrim and the official scripting language.
Papyrus can't do magic shit.

Keep going Kirkbride! Don't ever stop!

You can use Papyrus from C++ code though, it's fairly easy to just directly call the functions that are linked to script
Has it been confirmed what payment method TES:O will use? Will it be F2P, subscription, or a 1 time payment thing? I hope it's a one time payment.
Is Oblivion Nexus down for anyone else?
Nope, I can see the waifu mods perfectly fine.
If I ever meet the person who programmed this game's physics I'm going to rip their heart out and make them watch me eat it
lol what physics
lol what physics

So my friend was playing Skyrim, and he jumped ontop of a ribcage. Next thing you know he's launched into the air and probably has reached another universe at this point.

Just deleted my skyrim folder. 18 GB of mods. Starting over.

It goes so damn fast, you just want to add some cool weapons, then that armor, then that race. Poof your game won't start anymore due to all the mods.
Mods kinda destroy the possibility to play the TES games anymore in a way. I just download "some mods" which turns into gigabytes of them because I always discover something new I'd like to try. Hours later I decide to cut it and actually play, everything works fine, but I'm actually only looking at the whole new stuff and then turn the game off again, repeating the circle until nothing works anymore.
It's weird.
Seriously, you have to think computer coding is the equivalent of magic...
What he suggested is so very possible though. And quite easy, too. Maybe not using Papyrus since stuff like model scale would be locked etc but if you had the source code then no problemo.
Sanguine's Debauchery is a fucking incredible mod holy crap.
i really dont want to add any new mods to my existing saves
the risk of corruption is so much higher than oblivion's and even clean saves wont do much
i know it applies to mods with scripts, but still
Back up your saves? Then you can remove mods if they break something and everything should be fine.
Okay.. so, seriously... I'm getting angry with Oblivion. I've installed it on a brand new HDD with the same everything as before when it ran perfectly fine. No mods installed, and I get CTDs immediately. Any suggestions on how to fix?

Scripted mods fuck your game up if you remove them, though.

How would you make the flames larger without screwing up where they connect to the armor though? I'd rather have the particle/flame texture modified to dissipate as they take damage.

It has not been revealed what payment option they're using.
