It is indeed Climates of Tamriel, which is really strange because that didn't give me errors before. Cheers for the heads-up.
Wait a while in-game. What you have is not a CoT weather. It takes a bit for CoT to start taking effect.

And just like that, it transitions to the proper effect. Thanks!

Downloaded SkyRE. Totally worth it. Awesome mod.
Great, now Savos Aren is breaking the first College quest.
Finally, I've been waiting for a mod like this. I don't know why they took it out of Skyrim from Oblivion.

Parallax mapping for Skyrim!
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/40512/
is that tessellation basically?
EDITED..wait no
Nothing like Tessellation.
is that tessellation basically?
EDITED..wait no
Tessellation is physically changing the mesh, parallax creates an illusion of depth.
pretty sure that's right
is that tessellation basically?
EDITED..wait no
Essentially, yes. But for less powerful machines. Tessellation enhances the actual geometry of objects, while Parallax uses a trick to enhance Normal Maps depending on the viewpoint making it look 3D.

Parallax mapping for Skyrim!

Well, it's been around for a while, actually. Started with Project Parallax, and then after a while of nothing, Vivid Landscapes started using Parallax.
This Project Parallax Remastered seems to pick up and continue what the original Project Parallax started, although you still need ENB to fix Parallax bugs.
Does it rape framerate?
[editline]19th August 2013[/editline]
does it framerape
Does it rate framerape?

Not as far as I've seen.
it barely impacted my fps, but i think with texture mods, the difference is seen more in load times, stuttering, and pop in

A lot of things got broken when they messed with the internals. Shitty scripting, shadows on the cpu, and for god knows what reason parallax mapping removed.
Can't wait for the next console generation. Maybe we wont get shafted anymore.

because the game was released probably a year before it should have been and is unpolished as shit? I mean just listen to some of the dialogue, look at some of the texture mapping, the spell balance, and the complete lack of facial expressions.
Thank the gods they were smart enough to release such powerful modding tools

This sounds hilarious to me
Probably because I can do anything
Can someone who has the hi-res dlc upload the male and female normal maps for, orcs, bretons, old people, khajiits and argonians? I need them for reasons, also my internet is crap and I don't really plan on using the hi-res textures. I'm going to play around with them.
I never got a response.
I had a dumb mod idea last night but it's an idea anyway:
So you're beginning your adventure, and this mod logs where you are on the world map every few seconds. When you stop playing, you can go in another program which draws an image of the route you took. Of course this is only fun if you don't use fast travel. Imagine 100 hours of gameplay on that map, fuckin' red everywhere and shit.
i had a mod idea too: there are seasons in the game (summer, winter, etc)
Finally started some Dragonborn DLC and I LOVE the Reiklings. Hilarious. Found the chief. Good times. :D

Oh but those Ash Spawn...god damn...
So I was minding my own business crossing the ice to get to Septimus' outpost, suddenly these two Vigilant Elites clad in full winter gear and armed with crossbows pop out of the fucking water and start shooting at me, I was scared shitless. Now that's some dedication, waiting in ice cold, frigid water, underwater even, for your mark to arrive then shooting at him like you just came out of a hot spring without an ounce of doubt, needless to say I have a new found respect for the Vigilants now.
For anyone wondering I have Moonlight Tales and am currently a werewolf, that's why there are periodic Vigilant/Silver Hand attacks against me.

that's awesome but I doubt I would get to see more than one season, because I play timescale 6.
I have no doubt my mod is buggy as hell right now but I've shown you a youtube video and I must deliver.

Okay guys this is getting annoying. After about 30 minutes of game time Skyrim starts to become very laggy. Sometimes it'll run smooth and then suddenly at the worst possible time such as an attack the frames drop. I've downloaded an optimization mod which does help but does not fix the problem. The only way to fix it is to save and close the game and reload.
I don't know why this happens because the game runs perfectly smoothly like I said for 30+ minutes before it acts up. Sometimes it sorts itself out but is there a fix out there?
