Speaking of death, that one stupid draugr from that Taste of Death quest keeps pummeling me to death. Doesn't help whatever enchantments it has won't let me attack it back along with taking a quarter of health per strike (out of 200HP). Any particular anti-draugr method you people use?
Use the first word of clear skies to keep them stumbled
Strom atronachs > Flame atronachs.
A flame atronach may be for Christmas, but a storm atronach has the health to last all year.
Health doesn't matter when you can just summon another

We really need an "it's happening" gif for Maiq
What magical recording software do people use to record Skyrim with ENB?
Oh man, Gaenor. WHY DOES HE EXIST. HOW DOES HE EXIST.
[editline]afd[/editline]
Holy shit, I actually killed him.

I... "enlisted" the help of that there Ordinator. And it actually worked.
Ordinators are badass. Damn.
There needs to be a mod that makes it so death isn't just "lewl reload your quicksave"
And not those stupid mods that make it so when you die you turn into a ghost or something
Like maybe it'll somehow disable saving entirely and save automatically every 3-5 minutes (to prevent crashes from being irrating), and then always save at the beginning of a dungeon or quest or something to prevent you from save scumming. And then maybe what it does is respawn you at the beginning of the dungion/quest/etc, with some kind of penalty (losing gold or w/e)?
I dunno I just think it would be cool to have a mod that makes it so whenever you die you don't simply just load the save you did right before the fight over and over, and instead death is actually some kind of game mechanic.
I don't think trying to block off saving (Which is both probably impossible and something very few people will agree with anyway) is really necessary. From what I've noticed, most gamers, unless specifically going for something like that (And probably wouldn't be the target audience for a mod like this anyway), don't constantly save/reload until they hit a perfect state, they just do it until they don't fail. Along with that, trying to put people at the beginning of a dungeon could screw up some quests pretty badly, both vanilla and mod-added. A gold penalty is avoidable by just dropping it into a container, like the many container-in-a-spells added by any mod, and trying to get rid of a player's weaponry (Assuming no backup weapons), at best, means that player pretty much loses it forever because they couldn't handle the area with their pimped-out sword, at worst, pretty much cripples the character because they put all the resources they had into it, and there's still the fact that magic users have a clear advantage here. I think a better option would be to, when a player runs out of health, give an immediate 25-50% health refill, apply a "wound" debuff* that could only be healed though special items, high-level magic (with a cooldown), and in-town healers, with the old "reload" death if you get too many wounds as a "hey, this place is fucking you over, stop throwing your dick into a meat grinder" thing.
*Obviously, there'd be multiple types of wounds that effect attack power/speed, health/mana/stamina regen, movement speed, ect., so no one type of character is effected more over another
impossible
Please stop throwing this word around

I made a mod that makes death work like Diablo or Ultima Online or similar, where everything you had with you gets left at the spot where you died and you have to go out and find your body and all your shit after being revived at a nearby holy shrine or whatever. Made it precisely because those "turn into a ghost" mods weren't what I wanted.
I just wish somebody better than I at modding had the same idea before I did, because my attempt at it was a shoddy hackjob that I'm surpised I got to work at all.
I just spent 4 hours playing Morrowind, most of which was spent in Vivec.
holy shit why are ordinators so fucking terrifying
Can anyone help me out? I used the console command in oblivion to become a vampire again since I already made the vampire quest and when I used the purgeblood salt in the vile lair I was cured but, I still have the vampire texture in my character.
How the hell I fix this?
Even deers pray.

Was playing last night, and I went in to the tavern so Frostfall wouldn't freeze me to death and uh... Lydia... broke?

help
had to record it with my phone since my game crashes on alt tab :v:
I just realized I have 71 pictures of Flame Atronachs in my steam screenshot folder
I just realized I have 71 pictures of Flame Atronachs in my steam screenshot folder
That's orders of magnitude less than I expected
That's orders of magnitude less than I expected
That's 75% of total screenshots not counting Shift+F12s to toggle ENB
If you scroll down you can see the percentage of screens that contain Flame Atronachs on that page slowly reach 100%
Anyone have any suggestions for any unique fun builds?
I've only really ever played stealth characters.. I kind of changed it up with this character using conjuration and a bound bow, summons and the occasional dagger sneak kill but it's still kinda the same old gameplay I've always used.
I kind of found destruction magic or magic focused characters sort of boring, same with purely melee.. I don't know what's a good combo.
someone plz tell me a fun build k thanks

Combat in vanilla Skyrim is just really terrible, it's disappointing because illusion and melee could've easily been many times cooler and conjuration could have more control over summons
but I'm Altimor so making an ass kickin mod for this is only a matter of time

I don't have much of a choice but to use vanilla combat, as my only accessible computer right now is my macbook and I don't want to play skyrim on that
so 360 is my only option :((
[editline]24th August 2013[/editline]
seriously if i dont get any idea's I'm going to make yet ANOTHER thief/assassin archetype character I don't want it to come to that halp

make an extremely extreme two-handed and heavily armoured orc person that kills things and does not sneak or use bows

meh a typical simple orc warrior going around bashing shit with a 2 hander
why not I guess
Well I feel like an idiot, spent way to long trying to find this mod Nehrim using terms like "New Land/World" and "Complete Overhaul" when the words I was looking for were "Total Conversion" which brings it up as the first link. Anyway someone might have already posted these in this megathread or older ones but they've got mods for Morrowind, Skyrim and Fallout 3 at SureAI that are worth checking out.
a beautiful strong orc twohander woman who don't need no man is best build
Everytime I launch skyrim and load my savegame, my view in first and third person is completely black, and any effects like text, or the slight green glow around the stamina bar don't go away. They stay stuck on the screen and flash.
Anyone know how to fix it? I tried going through all my mods to see if any of them were causing it, but apparently it's none of them.
First version of my mod if basically done. Woo! Just finished the marksman tree (yes, its marksman now, as it should be).
All thats left to do is fix a few critical outstanding bugs, figure out a way to let you uninstall it, figure out a way to let you update without uninstalling, and figure out a way to get it so potions heal over time instead of instant-heal (since it pretty much breaks most of the balance changes when it instant heals).
I'm looking at dynamically loading and unloading cells that players are in for the Skynet server, so you may get much more stable and impermanent uGridsToLoad as a byproduct

Times like this make me wish Real Clouds affected lighting.

Is Skynet like a full on multiplayer mod or is it more of a splitscreen sort of thing?
