I'll test out your mod, korjax, on an existing character. It sounds pretty nice! Any aspect of your mod that you'd want to test on a level 81 character?) So far: Problems(?) The bound bow is able to be loaded much faster than the daedric bow I can swing the elven battle axe with hurricane-like speed. Bound sword also swings a bit faster than the daedric sword Enemies do not seem to be able to swing as fast as me(balancing problem) The daedric warhammer can be swung kinda fast When blocking with the daedric warhammer repeatedly, and then moving forward, i can run at the speed of light. When equipping a heavy shield, the text at the upper left mispells shield, as sheild. Things I like: The way the screen moves alittle when you tug on the bow string Your screen flashes red when you take damage Slower health regen Your walk-speed slows when casting spells And about the magic damage thing, all my spells do the same damage with, and without the mod.
Thanks for the feedback too :) - I think bound weapons naturally draw quick compared to unbound ones, and I dind't touch them directly so the fact that you generally draw quick at higher levels anyways probably makes them pretty uber. I'll have to slow them down - AFAIK this is caused when you switch from a fast weapon (i.e. 1h) directly to a 2H weapon without first unequipping. I think I can get around this eventually so you don't even have to worry about that, but try fully unequipping the battleaxe, fully equipping a 1H weapon, then uniequipping that then re-equipping the battleaxe. That should hopefully reset the speed values in the mean time. - Most of my changes affect the player only (except stuff like general DPS that enemies do, blocking, etc), and I'm focusing only on that for now. It'll be a script and logistical nightmare to deal with enemy calculations with their attack and movement speed based on their skills as an NPC. Not to mention that NPC's simply put handle stamina/magic/etc much different than the player does. -As far as blocking with warhammer goes, see above post. :( its a very hard problem I've yet to figure out how to solve well due to the fact that block speed while moving is all hardcoded, I can't even touch it in the game settings. -Thanks for letting me know about that typo :o Keep the reports coming :) this is exactly the type of info I needed before I start releasing this broad :v: [editline]30th August 2013[/editline]
I've told you several times I can make you an SKSE plugin that's far more precise and faster than Papyrus
Now that I think about it :v: That would be useful. I just don't know exactly how to approach it is all. If this is possible to do smoothly with an SKSE plugin that would be amazing and make it so I don't have to worry about fooling the game to do it for me: - Allowing me to adjust player speed while he's blocking directly (instead of doing what I do where I just increase speedmult via a spell that turns off when you aren't blocking because papyrus is slow) - If its possible to change the speed of the bow notch and release animation that would be amazing (right now I can only make the act of drawing faster). I'm having visions of level 100 archers literally being able to pull a legolas with hunting bows and other lighter bows. - Some other thing that I'm probably forgetting but I think I'm not The rest (I think?) is pretty managable just with CK and papyrus, cause I don't think theres any real hard things to do as far as "making you swing faster" or "in general you walk slow if you suck at heavy armor" and stuff like that, its the dynamic "you are suddenly faster only when doing this one thing" that is hard without script lag getting in the way.
Time for one of chain's picture show and tell errybody. Today I lost a brother in arms, my pet bear Smokey came into contact with one of the nexus mods....h-he...changed..... So, hand-to-hand unarmored Bosmer, who carries PLENTY of all kinds of Spider Scrolls, and aims to kill everything via punching and spidering them to death. Should be fun.
Are there any good non-graphically intensive ENBs out there? The dof effects are annoying, and I don't really like SMAA. I just want more vibrant, perhaps darker, colors.

Or just use ENB with post processing off and all the effects disabled. imo Flame Atronachs look better without the post processing.
There we go. Punching stuff, having alteration armor (gotta work on a mod to have typeless armor on certain clothes), spiders around, and, apart of those, using Alchemy for Potions and Poisons (aplying those with a Silver Spear if something gets a bit too close to punch well enough), and Smithing and Enchanting to gear the stronger than myself army of followers I may raise. Objective? Kill every single major organization; no more Companions, no more College, no more Thieves Guild, no more Dark Brotherhood, no more Legion, no more Stormcloaks, no more Thalmor, no more Vigilants, no more Dawnguard, no more Vampires. Yup, console spam to remove essentialness. Should be fun, tho. Quests? I have 4 other characters for that.
Try putting "teofis" in the console, it disables all the filters. You do need to retype it every time you reload the game, though.
It's a pretty good command but it removes some nice shaders like heatwaves from fires.
So really love the dungeon in the Dovhakriid Grenganzer (or whatever) mod. It makes "draugr" ruins actually feel like real places, and there's a lot of downtime just trying to get your bearings (i.e. no monsters around every corner, but its still pretty scary because hardly anything is lit). It also feels MASSIVE and has lots of areas that make nordic ruins actually feel like they were real places instead of just corridors connected to rooms. I.E. theres cool place that is basically a giant bath of sorts, with a huge open hall and above are windows that were rooms that nobility (I guess) would look down upon this bath thing. And to get to this entire area, I basically had to climb through a hole in the ceiling which had a doorway and let me through. Its really well done (obviously, not follower friendly at all though). Sadly its heavily riddle based, which sounds nice but the riddles are almost impossible to understand due to them being translated from german to english. There is only one walkthrough, and it skips most of the mod, so not very useful (aka I went the other route and now am lost). I'm basically just wandering lost at the moment trying to figure out where to go and why this follower I just freed doesn't follow or respond to me at all... oh well. Still, cool dungion. I might just have to cheat out of here though, because I feel like I went the wrong way, the mod expects me to do something, but I can't. And because once you enter there is no going back, I'm kind of stuck..? Eh
First is easy, second is a bit harder.
Well the first one would be the most important, since that would fix the whole thing with going fast or not while blocking (the only alternative I have is simply make it so you always move slow no matter what item you use to block with or your skill, which would be :( )
Anyone know of that Skyrim mod that fixed Argonian/Khajiit tails clipping with benches/chairs?
I followed Malborn after the Thalmor Embassy part and he just runs straight into the Sea of Ghosts. He doesn't swim, just runs straight in and doesn't resurface. wtf bethesda
Anyone know of that Skyrim mod that fixed Argonian/Khajiit tails clipping with benches/chairs?
The current developer of "unique beast races" promised it if he could learn how to animate (which is required in order to rig his skeleton). Unfortunately, progress on that mod is really slow, but I haven't checked how it's going because the thread is full of furries, lore rapists and is in general a mess to read.
How come Skyrim doesn't have crossbows? The Morrowind trailer looks like it had a crossbow. Do you have any idea how useful that would be? Takes the same amount of time to load as a fully-drawn bow, but still holding the button will fire it as well or let go after loading to have it ready to fire at will. Well, that's how I'd do it, but crossbows, man.

SKSE crashes if you detour the same Papyrus functions they hook and they currently provide no interface to register functions through SKSE. A++ job.
so i'm soon going to be part of the latest elder scrolls sensation, just wanted to know, how useful would a mage be that didn't use destruction? for example, taking on a camp with raising the dead and fear/fury stuff
so i'm soon going to be part of the latest elder scrolls sensation, just wanted to know, how useful would a mage be that didn't use destruction? for example, taking on a camp with raising the dead and fear/fury stuff
Not bad, but you'd be lacking at lot of damage with only having one undead minion and some guy smacking his friends some of the time.
Not bad, but you'd be lacking at lot of damage with only having one undead minion and some guy smacking his friends some of the time.
i was afraid of that, had an idea in my head about laughing in the middle of a bandit camp while bodies and bandits were all fighting eachother to the death around me eh i'm sure there's wiggle room in this game, i'll find out soon enough
Not bad, but you'd be lacking at lot of damage with only having one undead minion and some guy smacking his friends some of the time.
I've heard the ritual stone is ridiculous.
"Thank you for finding my 25 gold value Hunting Bow dovakhiin, here's 1500 gold worth of flawless gems, it's all I can afford to give you"
Meanwhile in the Jarl's quarters: "Thank you for killing that dragon/giant, here's 100 gold, don't spend it all in one place."
Holy crap why is Destruction so hard to level up? Having taken down a dragon priest with only Lightning Bolt and Barbas and not level up once, it makes you question why it's so hard to. And screw the Rueful Axe, that mutt's so much more valuable. Cornering dragon priests where they can't move, distracting trolls...why didn't I bother with this sooner?
I wish there were more follower species options. Like a Giant or Dragon Priest and whatnot. Like Fallout. I know one of the games allows you to have one of those big guys as a buddy, and one of the zombie dudes as well. Compared to Skyrim, there are a lot more "intelligent" "species" in Fallout that have at least one buddy option. In terms of how they work and stuff. I know you can get at least one of almost every race in Skyrim, but that doesn't really mean anything, and there are a lot of "intelligent" species that show an ability to wield weapons like yourself, like the Falmer, Draugr, Giants, etc, as the main ones I can think of. And I don't know about you, but I kinda wanna run around Skyrim with a Giant sending my enemies into space at my beck and call.

Giants are xenophobic. I'm sure you can get a mod for each one if you really want to though.

Gelebor said they've been getting smarter, though maybe a blind psychopath isn't the best idea of a companion You're right about Draugr A Dragon Priest could worship you, cause you're Dragonborn, technically making you a dragon Giants seem to have a capacity of reasoning, as they accept offerings from farmers(sometimes).

Giants, mammoths and dragons are especially good and can be consistently located.
