How much do you have now?
6 gb
6gb is probably good enough to handle Skyrim plus background processes, but you can always use more.
You motivate me to spend a lot of cash and buy some high end pc.
Don't expect most of these high-end ENB's run smooth in actual gameplay unless you drop $5K on a SLI Titan setup. My computer is dragging ass with my 680s SLI using a plethora of high-res textures and ENB. Although with reasonable settings it'll still look amazing and run pretty damn good.
It's entirely possible, especially if what's happening is it's lagging when you enter a cell or an area with a list, or there's something in your save that's calling something that you no longer have.
So i just installed some mods but i forgot about the official HD texture pack so will it mess up the mods by installing it now?
-Oh shit, how'd that get here?-

so about that jungle overhaul..
I've been having this problem for ages, and I cannot figure out how to get rid of it. At random, my FPS will drop from 50 - 60 to 2 - 4. Sometimes, this is sensitive to looking in a certain direction in an interior. Other times, both interior and exterior cells, I will keep the 3 FPS until I tab out, then back in.
Here's my BOSS log for anyone who cares to help:

I've looked all over the net looking for answers, and even asked here about half a year ago, but I was hoping some solution that I missed has come up in the mean time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I recommend doing 2 things:
1)
Grab the other Unofficial Patches. You're missing:
a) Dawnguard: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23491/?
b) Hearthfire: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25127/?
c) Dragonborn: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/31083/?
d) High-Res Texture Pack: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/31255/?
Also double-check to make sure your Unofficial Skyrim patch is recent.
2)
Clean your DLC Master files using TES5Edit. It's more important than you think. Here's a quick guide.

That's what she said.
After going through Forelhost for the first time... I now perfectly understand all the jokes about draugrs, draugrs everywhere. It was a trial, most certainly a trial. Didn't even get any good loot out of it...
[editline]13th May 2013[/editline]
Turns out I was 10 below the recommended level... I would be impressed with myself if I hadn't changed the difficulty. Guess I was still operating on Oblivion "logic" of go whereever, the world will always be a cakewalk (unless you leveled really inefficiently)
I just came across a YouTube comment accusing Kim Jong-un of being Mankar Camoran.

When I last cleared Forelhost there were Draugr Scourges and Deathlords around every corner, and [sp]Rahgot didn't actually wake up- he lay there in his open coffin, making for a very easy boss.[/sp]

Yea, right now I'm capturing stuff for skyfilm 3 and It's chugging along at 4fps with my current insanely tuned config. And I run a 3770k, dual 580s, and 32gb of ram.
granted, there are many performance shortcuts.

The worst thing that ever happened to me Draugr-wise was last time I joined the Companions at level 4. I didn't think the big roomful of Draugr would be a problem and turned my back on them, only to have Farkas go flying past me and smack into the wall. Turns out they were all Death Lords. And I was level 4. Because of some combination of mods I did get some Stalhrim gear so I guess it wasn't all bad.

Don't install hd textures by beth. Its a small visual improvement for a large performance hit and large file size increase that you can never get rid of because its considered dlc and becomes apart of the base game once you get it
Official HD has nice high res textures for rugs on floors. I haven't found good floor rug textures in other packs but then again I haven't really looked for 'em

Why can't you just download Coverkhajiit?
That's what she said.
It was 1:00am, I posted that in the wrong thread... Was meant for Dark Souls thread.

You can always disable it by disabling it in the mod list.
One of the big reasons it doesn't seem to do much is that Bethesda got the file paths wrong for a lot of the textures and over 120 of the ones that did make it in use the wrong file format which negatively affects performance.
I advise using the High Res Texture Pack as long as you use it alongside the Unofficial High Resolution Patch.

Disabling it in the mod list doesn't actually get rid of it though, it's still forever on your hard drive and forever on your game install.

Couldn't you delete the files and turn off automatic updates for Skyrim?
So what cool stuff does derrgonborn add outside of that island I can spell?
A short storyline and some new gimmicks.

I'm editing Clear Nights.
Need to be brighter / darker?
Increase / decrease directional lighting / ambient?
I'm sure these poor little Falmer didn't expect me to turn into a werewolf. Ehehe

"Oh no! Our enemy has resorted to unarmed combat and restricted himself to not do certain actions."
Lycanthrophy didn't feel too special in Skyrim. Story-wise it's just "hey, you can do this... now go do whatever", like every other gimmick in this game; you use it once, then you forget about it before searching your entire spell list to find something that may help you take down at least one of those 5 deathlords you just encountered in that Nordic dungeon.

Meh. It's good for taking down large amounts of small enemies.
On another note, Blackreach is beautiful. Kind of reminds me of the Unreal games.
Just talking to Mjoll in Riften and then I look to the right and see creepy ass skull-hooded cultists patiently waiting for our conversation to end.
Cultist helmet plus Heavy Chitin gear makes you look like Saren from Mass Effect. It's all heavy armour too if you're into that sort of thing.

Well, I mean, it sort of makes you look like him. Take it with a pinch of salt. Use your imagination. You know?
Should I do Dawnguard, Dragonborn, the Main quest or just Misc stuff?
First three ratings (agree, disagree, or funny) for DG
Second three for DB
Third three for MQ
Last three for Misc
