You guys are aware that the Sun is where Magnus noped the fuck out of Mundus and went to Aetherius, ripping a hole in the universe and allowing magic to pour through?
So yes, all magic is sun magic.

And that this precedent was established in Dawnguard (And to a lesser degree, Knights of the Nine) what with the offensive restoration spells from the crazy priest guy. I'm guessing it's magic arts rooted in the Aedra.
I though the hole was in oblivion (emptiness with a few planets/daedra) and it led to a magic realm that's pretty much everything.
Yeah, stars and the sun (except Serpent) are holes in Oblivion that lead to Aetherius from where naguc comes from
That TES:O orc needs some serious brow ridges and gaunter features
I sort of hate how every TES game since Oblivion have had beast races just be the normal human body with a different head and a tail showed up its bum. ES:O appears to definitively follow this rule.

The Khajiit can be explained as a different breed, but the argonians not so much.
I just realized that it must have been a bitch to remove Tiber Septim as a divine from all of literature and shit.

I thought it was just Morrowind that had the beast race body be different than the other races, the Khajiit in Arena and Daggerfall stand upright and can wear footwear.
Not sure about Argonians.

Yeah, it's just Morrowind.

I sort of hate how everybody thinks a lizard should be digitigrade. Or how everybody complains not about the fact that we have talking mansized cats and lizards, but how they don't have the legs they had in a single game. Fuck being forced to be barefooted while we are at it.
Seriously, I consider that to be a very low point in Morrowind gameplay.
Digitigradity evolves for bursts of speeds. Argonians and Khajiits have the body builds of brachiating primates. Nope, no sense biologically either.

I swear they added the Boots of Blinding Speed to taunt people who wanted to pick the beasts.

I know differences in appearance can be explained, but the lazy modeling is just annoying. I'm sick of seeing Bethesda/Zenimax Online doing this:

Good thing every modder and their cat's lizard is working on improving them. Problem is that every modder and their cat's lizard either make porn mods or love procrastinating and quitting projects.

Before global waming
After global warming
:v:
None of the TESO stuff looked like shit per se barring a few things people mentioned. At the very least the character models and armor looked crisp and well crafted, if flat.
What bothers me more is still the thing taken as a whole. The chunky, flat, performance-whoring landscapes typical to MMOs, the unyielding march towards making everything a multiplayer game, the genre-obedient, boring "ARMOR TIER 1" look all the equipment has. Then it's all tacked on to regurgitated canon.
It's just an interjection into a series that, even with Skyrim, has avoided making use of tropes and established fantasy bullshit as its home. Even if Skyrim borrowed from existing lore more than it added to it, TESO is really pushing how far you can take one good idea without actually understanding it or appreciating it yourself. Someone's just stuck a tap into the TES oil pipeline. It's flippant; TES isn't. That's it.
AKA it's just another footnote on the ass of games that take the easy way out and make money anyway. I really just hate the idea.

I just want to see a game where all the different breeds of Khajiit are seen instead of this "its all one breed of them right now" bullshit.
But you shouldn't have classes in a tes game. Shit like Exclusive spell branches and the like is bullshit.
Best way to do it would probably have every skill that a player has at 10 or 15. Then the player can pick skills/sets of skills that are boosted by 10. Meaning that a few skills start of at level 20 or 25. Fallout style attribute allocation,Attributes go up naturaly, Races provide learning bonuses (+25%xp for destruction and such) rather than a starting bonus. And finaly the option to add daggerfall traits would be great too (completely optional) Course you should also get random option.
It'd be nice if some (race related) abilities activated automatically. Not "always on" but rather they come on automatically when conditions are right. Like adrenalin or berserk.
Oh. And tutorials/playable nightmares/dreams whilst you sleep.
There are mods for almost all the things you mentioned. Attributes of the Third Era adds attributes and CCO adds learning bonuses. There are also mods that automatically activate racial abilities.
I'm not sure about the whole "dream" thing, but it seems highly possible to move the player to another cell when he sleeps, like what was done in the start of the dark brotherhood questline.
Are the Mayan/Aztec inspired Argonians a new thing, or did that come from a previous game?
I'm a little worried because that armor looks ridiculous. [sp] and because Argonians are my favorite race. [/sp]
I kinda hopped that argonian stuff would be southern/central american with maybe some other tribal influences from africa/Oceana. It's mentioned though in the armourers challenge that they use natural materials for their armour. (if memory serves)
So after installing a mod that would make anyone I attack non essential, I now can't kill any npc. It is like they have all been set to essential because every time I attack them they drop to the ground in that kneeling position and I can't kill them while theyre down there.
Does anyone know a way to fix this? I uninstalled the mod that did it but those bastards still wont die.
I've played every single quest in this game. Played through it with different characters making different saves and with different play styles.
And I still, have not finished the main quest. I've got bored of the game before I felt the need to complete it.
Apparently the new patch for Skyrim just installed Dawnguard for everyone. :v:
It even says I own it when I look at the store page.

Just wondered what that huge update was.
Neat. Might actually boot up the game again now, if only to try out some new mods.
Not that playing that Calm stealth mage wasn't fun... in a brainwashing villain kinda way.

Why is there a new patch for it? I thought Bethesda stopped working on it a while back?
Since Skyrim is 70% Dragur fighting, does SkyRe or ACE make combat bearable? Every time I want to reinstall skyrim, I remember Dark Souls and cancel the download.
Wait... new patch for Skyrim?
I just realized
Wouldn't Frost Atronachs melt in Oblivion
I was gone / banned for 3 days, when did this happen?
Somebody must have been drunk because apparently everybody has been given dawnguard for free.
I ain't complaining.
