So one of my friends decided he wanted to play Skyrim again. He just got a new computer, and its amzaing. I was wondering if you guys can suggest any ENB's that will make it look awesome?
Also, this guy is generally not the best at the game, but things that spice up the combat and the world would be great too
I personally enjoy SkyRealism with the Vanilla setting enabled, some stuff turned down (its prett perofrmance intensive with everyone on), and the "UseOriginalPostProcessing" option enabled, mixed with Realistic Lighting Overhaul Weathers RC2
Looks much better than default with all the features ENB provides, without killing my FPS and without making it look like an over-contrasted and oversaturated mess that you get with many ENB's.
Found this, thought it looked pretty cool. Reminds me of Bastion.

GREAT
Tried to re-play Skyrim after not really playing it for a while last night.
First time I wasn't using the SKSE, so I had to quit and disable SkyUI.
I started a new game and the FPS was the worst after I got control from the intro execution scene. Disabled some mods and restarted.
Now for some reason, the cart and all the other horses are running into walls in the intro. Cannot progress the game further. Quit, disable "Wild Horses", and restart.
Next New Game and the dude I went into the basement of the town with got stuck on a corner. Couldn't move him out of the way, even when I made enemies follow me back to him. Restart.
Next New Game and I try to beat the dude I went with to the basement of the town to death after we leave. He chases me to Riverwood where I accidentally kill a chicken. Suddenly I cannot enter Riverwood or the nearby town without being killed. Save game is either when you pick your character or after he is mad at me.
I will eventually play this game, I swear.

What's this filter called again? I was gonna look into making a SweetFX shader for it.

Isn't it something like Topaz Labs?

Oilify.

That's a different thing:

And here's the ridiculously overpriced Photoshop plugin: http://www.topazlabs.com/simplify/

It can also get pretty ridiculous "can't see shit captain":

Yes. Beautiful flowers.
There needs to be a mod like that, but for rabbits
Yes. Beautiful flowers.
It's a special sort called "cheeky cunt"
so goldenglow estate seems to crash my game and then cause a fuckup somewhere else that ruins that save file
why must modding be so hardddd
[editline]9th October 2013[/editline]
argh I swear I'm gonna punch a fucking kitten with all these crashes that start just as I'm getting into the character
-snip- oh wel
It is jut some ps plugin, Not an effect you will get in game.
Expecting Altimor to show up in a few days with a working prototype of this shader running ingame.
Altimor wants me to post this for him, it's a realtime shader he wrote based on the oilify filter in GIMP
[thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/oilify.png[/thumb]
He also wants me to complain that the picture that was posted before wasn't actually the oilify filter
Altimor's using mind slaves for forum posting now?
Can't exactly post when he's banned, now can he?
True, but mind slaves sounds a tad better, no?
Can't exactly post when he's banned, now can he?
In fairness, he probably could.
Found this little interesting video while back.

Bethesda sure enjoys visual story telling a lot more than main story itself in their games.

Yeah lol the oilify filter in GIMP, it's not. Why would one use GIMP even.
[editline]10th October 2013[/editline]
#whoa apparently Photoshop doesn't even have an oilify filter. Musta spoke out my ass then, I was certain.

Todd Howard is such a kidder.

Not the same exact filter But I pretty much called it.
Would be really nice if someone could figure out the filter shown before, oilify tends to destroy detail by its very nature.
I'm quite sure decompiling a filter that costs money could get you sued, wouldn't it?
I still really want that in the game, though.
[editline]aa[/editline]
The filter is called BuzSim, by the way, in case that helps.
Yeah lol the oilify filter in GIMP, it's not. Why would one use GIMP even.
Because it's general public license, free, nearly identical to Photoshop, and has open source code whereas photoshop is copyrighted and closed development?

Someone else read Altimor's event log too :3
Also, related to the video I posted. This happened to me:

His name actually is Whiterun Guard?
How many families have I wiped out, all due to them having the same name?

I'm pretty sure you can't own image filter math.
hmm, having that effect in game could actually be really cool. Tough i don't know how that would work out in darker dungeons.
There are different versions which are brighter, but they really like adding ugly green lines and pixelatation as a result of what I assume to be an edge detection filter.
Here are a few examples:

Original, BuzSim 3, BuzSim 2, BuzSim 5
