has anyone even attempted to merge assets from Oblivion into Skyrim, like the world and all?
Or do the different engines cause problems?
I just don't understand why he couldn't just make a few sliders in an MCM menu, like the imaginator does.
Because I don't know how, and have a general dislike for SkyUI / MCM for some reason.. What I'm trying to get is a darkness level that everyone can agree on. I may have things set to be darker than most would prefer, but I'm not trying to do that on purpose.
Which is the reason why I keep posting images, looking for input.

In my experience Skyrim seems pretty touchy about importing heightmaps, every time I've tried to do that I just managed to crash the CK. So I think getting the terrain and stuff from Oblivion won't be easy. Meshes seem simple enough to convert though, friends of mine have ported a bunch of their favourite armours and such from Oblivion.
Nooo my horse :C
Open "BOSS GUI.exe", not "BOSS.exe".
Well that was considerably more effective.
Thanks!

You could just make an NPC for it... just like the imaginator does when I think about it. Just add dialogue options to higher/lessen some values. Why are you trying to satisfy everyone when everyone may have different opinions? Why can't you just add different brightness "settings" like CoT does?

I could always do that, it's as simple as increasing the brightness setting in the imagespaces. So, we'll see. Because the way it is, people might want certain things brighter than others. Anyway, I'll keep posting updates / look for opinions. Unless people don't want me to.
Agree to keep posting images and looking for opinions, disagree to stop.
Most folks on FP have cheap ass noncalibrated monitors, and think if they use some tutorial on the innerwebs, it'll magically somehow set their colors and contrast to the same level as using actual physical calibrations tools. Most of said folks also think black and grey are the same color.
Way to generalise and judge everyone at being fucking incompetent and skimping on monitors. I've got quite a nice LED thanks which is calibrated correctly and was not fucking cheap and I know a fuckload of facepunch users who have Dell Ultrasharps which are also not cheap and likely are much better than the monitor you're currently using.
Also "Most of said folks also think black and grey are the same color" idiotic crap.
Grey is Grey, Black is fucking Black. You can have "dark grey almost bordering on black" but no one ever says "its a black grey" or "greyish black". They either say dark tone or its black and when its black its black.

You're not going to find something everyone agrees on, the best you can hope for is a generally agreed upon range.

I own a Samsung 30' panel that is used in Dell's USPro line without the ridiculous color destroying glare filter, so nice try on the passive aggressive counter, but no dice. It's also a fact that USes are calibrated towards grey banding and red oversaturation and colors that are muted about 30% compared to both NTSC and Adobe gamuts, and the glare filter they decided to use pretty much destroys your rgb range by an additional 20-30% resulting in 60-70% accuracy on a panel that comes out of the factory capable of displaying up to 97% of the Adobe and NTSC ranges without physical calibration.
Those are not opinions, those are facts, and you can find plenty of evidence for them on just about any AV site or the processing section of ModelMayhem and other professional photography sites.
Next time you'd like to start an argument, you might actually try doing some research so you know what the fuck you're talking about, because in this case you clearly don't.

You don't really need all of those mods really.
If you're using the Sounds optional for CoT, so you can remove SoS - Civilization-PatchCoT.esp, and SoS - Civilization-PatchCoTWinterEdition.esp. If you're using the Winter Edition of CoT, you can remove SoS - Civilization-PatchCoTSounds.esp, and if not, remove SoS - Civilization-PatchCoTWinterEdition.esp. You only need the RLO and SPO patches for SoS - Civilization if you're using Realistic Lighting Overhaul and/or Sound Propagation Overhaul respectively.
If you're not using the Hardcore CoT Dungens plugin, which it looks like, then you can remove SoS - The Dungeons-PatchCoTHardcore.esp. The RLO and SPO stuff is the same as SoS - Civilization, with the expect of SoS - The Dungeons-PatchRLODungeonLighting.esp. If you're not using the Dungeon Lighting optional for Realistic Lighting Overhaul, remove that.
The Wilds stuff is pretty much the same as Civilization again, minus the RLO stuff.
In addition, make sure that SoS - Civilization.esp is loaded before all the Civilization patches, that SoS - The Dungeons.esp is loadout before The Dungeons patches, and that SoS - The Wilds.esp is loaded before all The Wilds patches. Using BOSS should resolve that.

That's what I'm trying for.

That's a lot of unnecessary compatibility with RLO. All we did was change lights.

Checking in with Cliffworms now about it.
Welcome to the first (and probably last) 'Before-I-Finish-Pissing Decision Time'! Should I take both Serana AND Lydia to Solstheim for the Dragonborn questline or wait until later to do it?
First 6 ratings for "Yes, bring those bitches to Solstheim for a good time", last 6 ratings for "No, don't do it, they'll never shut up the whole time".

Dawnbreaker is officially my second favorite video game sword
My experiment worked! The plants respawned as usual, I was wrong to doubt Bethesda with this. Not tested ash piles disappearing though...
So say I got the Tamriel Rebuilt mod and then I got the Morrowind Overhaul mod, would the new areas from Tamriel Rebuilt be updated as well, and if not, is there a mod to fix that?

Maybe it'll be out by the end of the week, maybe. That won't be up to me.
And no, those are submarines, not tanks. Tanks have wheels.

oh my god that is horrible
I posted this in the Ingame Media topic but this was that video I was working on.

it's meant to feel like an overcast cold foggy morning in the mountains. It's a bit... Dim, but that's for the most part by design. I've viewed it on three calibrated screens and it seems to be no issue, but some people might feel it's too dark.
I didn't have a firestrom scroll so I couldn't do the dupe glitch for the Dawnbreaker and dual wield them.
Wow, I finished both main quests? That was it?
That was the most pathetic final boss I've ever faced. I am disappoint.
What armour looks good with Ancient Falmer gloves and boots? Right now I'm wearing them, Miraak, and a Skaal coat, I look like a very ornate eskimo
Help, i'm being swarmed by blocky trees:

I'm always amazed at how you guys managed to make those faces.
The simple answer is Oblivion.
The slightly longer answer is GameBryo.
Its pretty easy just move all the sliders to farthest left or right it can go
