I remember the first time I walked to Bleak falls barrow and noticed the snow textures: completely white surfaces accompanied by pixelated snow falling. I was sure I overclocked my GPU too far and it was overheating. I quickly exited Skyrim, checked my GPU temps and they were pretty low. Then i realised how bad the snow textures really are.
what are peoples thoughts on the ACE mods and the Duel combat realism mod?

I thought it was just the console versions that was like that.

Give this a read for a comparison between duel and ultimate combat. Can't help you much with ACE, as it was a fair while ago since I last used it. It had some interesting features, but I'm not sure they were all that ground breaking.
Out of place textures, tiling textures, textures don't fit well with lighting/models, unfitting models, strange lighting on vegetation.

Yep, that's skyrim alright
Worthy of Websters

Honestly trying to say that those Skywind pics look better than even vanilla Skyrim is... Wrong.
I'm not saying it looks bad. But it sure doesn't look incredible. Its a WIP, so I expect it to improve, but it still has a way to go.

What's a good spear build in Morrowind?
What's a good spear build in Morrowind?
Argonian, spear and athletics as a major skill, steed, the lady, or warrior birthsign, combination of medium/heavy and unarmored skills
Enduarance and Speed as main attributes.
Boom, extremely fast well armored argonian build. Can probably get away with just wearing a partial set of armor to keep your encumbrance low
For some reason I can't complete Missing in Action quest without using the console. After I start it by talking to Fralia, she goes home and then all doors of House Gray-Mane are locked and if I break in, it will be considered as trespassing. And the doors will stay locked forever. Only thing I can do is quickly break in, lock on Avulstein, leave the house and use moveto player. I never had that bug.. until I used the latest USKP.

medium armor sucks because there is no good medium armor in morrowind. most unique stuff is heavy or light. also take spears as a minor skill because you will rack it up fast anyways hitting stuff while you could take an useful utility magic skill like alteration as major.
edit: also argonian is good because underwater dungeons wont be a problem.
I think I may have encountered that a long while ago. I think I just sneaked into Avluteins room while he and Fralia were asleep, quickly exited sneak mode while pressing E on him, then he entered dialogue with me and I moved forward in the quest.

Ebony mail, best armor cuirass in the game. matches the dragonbone cuirass and lords mail in protective value, but it's lighter than both.
The indoril armor and royal guard armor are pretty good, too.

Also, there's a rather new morrowind mod that's an absolutely must-have if you're using MSGO
http://morrowind.nexusmods.com/mods/42509
Fixes all the clipping shoulder issues, and adds new (optional) female meshes

it's better just to go completely heavy or light simply because theres more and better base and artifact armor for those armor types.

I was thinking of trying it as a Bosmer, I generally don't like not having the ability to wear certain things. Also, isn't athletics a terrible thing for a major?

Ebony Mail + Royal Guard Boots beat out Savioirs Hide + Boots of the Apostle in protection rating. IIRC Light armor only has two artifacts and they amount to a substantially weaker protection rating than ebony mail + royal guard armor. heavy armor is king though, it's got like... 6 artifacts, everything except the greaves and pauldrons, really... and even then you get the daedric greaves and daedric pauldrons.
Bosmer is pretty crap for a spear build, you may as well just do another build entirely. You *could* do it but it'll be a drudgefest at the start of the game and you'll wind up being gimped when you're at a high level than if you had been a bosmer thief or archer. It's really Argonian or bust with spear characters, they can make the best use of it.
Also, no. Not sure where that athletics myth arose from, it's the same as any other major skill, and in the hands of an argonian it's a very powerful advantage earlier in the game since you can easily outrun and kite away from most enemies. Also walking and running is less tedious

Your starting skill levels aren't really crucial unless you intend to get to like.. level 70 or something. Most people abondon morrowind character before that point becomes relevant, so it's best to keep your major skills as high as possible at the start.
-snip-
Anything I should consider for minor, or are those practically worthless?
Also isn't The Lover better than The Lady? I'd figure having good agility would help with actually hitting things.
Ehh, probably should actually take The Lady, it'll help balance out things more.

Put anything into minor that you think you might use, but don't consider as important as your major skills.
Yeah, that's more or less how it works. I tend to put skills that the character race doesn't get bonuses in.
One of the strange nuances with MW/OB skill system is that the shittier your character starts the game, the higher their max level cap. Good idea to have high major skills when you start, but it's usually good to have your minor skills start a bit lower unless you really need them, that way you don't get capped at level 40 or something.
How come orcs look like green reverse vampires now?
Seriously those are the wimpiest looking teeth I have ever seen, theyre just tiny little spikes that are pearly white.
The orcs are violent race who worship the daedric god of the spurned, but god damn if they dont have good dental hygiene!!!

Technically the best way to level is to put skills you won't use as your major/minor and then level your main skills from 5, right? Then you can hit those x5 stat bonuses on levelup.
Glad I have Final Fantasy XIV to tide me over until this game is out, otherwise I'd be going nuts with impatience.
The character creator...I was worried about it honestly. Now I'm not. This is gonna be great. I love the level of customization on display.
theres nothing more satisfying than turning into a werewolf and wreaking havoc on a town by mauling everyone in it
rip dawnstar

Or using Illusion spells, stealth and daggers/bows.
RIP all towns.
Speaking of Illusion, I tried using Fury all the time. Guards are always overleveled for it, but after some perks and leveled Illusion I made whole Whiterun to shut down Heimskr and Nazeem. So satisfying.

This is the first positive thing I have seen about the game in a while... I hope it won't be too big of a disappointment, I still have some hope left
I don't have much hope for ESO, but that character creation does look good.
Looks about as good as Skyrim, if not almost better.
