Shadowmere is the only horse worth getting. And even then, horses are only good for glitching and jumping your way up a rocky mountain. Don't actually use them for travel or combat.
Not if you get a mod that makes them faster than you on foot.

They just didn't say horses were the climbing gear.
Horses are good for glitching into the Thalmor embassy after the quest
Horses are good for glitching into the Thalmor embassy after the quest
Why waste the time getting a horse, just shoot one of the guards and theyll all sprint out of the front gate, unlocking it for you to run through.

Then you come outside into a another area which is in the Tamriel worldspace so you can horse glitch into it and not have any "bugs".
Horse archery is actually decent if you have the eagle eye/slow time perks, but swinging a sword/mace is nigh useless

All the elves that are still alive are the guards who hilariously respawn to guard the now empty embassy. Thusly every week I go back up to the embassy with a new weapon to kill the elves with.
Horse archery is actually decent if you have the eagle eye/slow time perks, but swinging a sword/mace is nigh useless
Is horse combat even a vanilla thing or is it yet another mod that us inferior console players have to deal with not having?
It's been in the game for like half a year
It's been in the game for like half a year
What? I'm still stuck on 1.0. Please don't tell me you need LIVE or Gold to update your games.
What? I'm still stuck on 1.0. Please don't tell me you need LIVE or Gold to update your games.
Yeah.... (XBox, right?) PS3, and PC will automatically update.
What? I'm still stuck on 1.0. Please don't tell me you need LIVE or Gold to update your games.
Can you not connect your 360 to the internet at all? Cause you don't need Live Gold to get patches, last time I checked you could patch with the free live silver.
What? I'm still stuck on 1.0. Please don't tell me you need LIVE or Gold to update your games.
You need live, but not Gold, just stick an ethernet cable into the box.
If your character is over level 80, go to Windhelm and find a guy in full set of Ebony armor.
It took a wee bit for me to find him. You gotta be patient
Am I the only one who downloads house mods that are evenly spaced out in Skyrim as to have a place to sleep when I'm traveling around? Because I have 12 houses all around Skyrim, including the purchasable house in the 5 major cities.
No, I have that bag house thing that you can go in anytime. Really nifty.
this one?
There is literally not enough salt piles in all of Tamriel to cook all the meat I find [editline]25th October 2013[/editline] I am Skyrim's #1 salt purchaser
If you use Frostfall, you can boil sea water for salt.
I just wound up giving me 500 salt piles via console I now have more salt than a batch of McDonalds fries
Baa BOOOOM, more salt!
I actually use that ::v:
is there anyway to make my companion not hit like he has a whiffle bat equipped? i have j'zargo and it doesnt seem like he does any damage. i have ufo and it says he is level 53 like me.
I fucking love it when house makers make all of the props in their houses static It definitely much better than having you or one of your followers accidentally bump into a table with food and shit on it and it just fucking flips out and launches across the room, and then awkwardly trying to put everything back, but you only manage to fuck more shit up because you have to rotate the held object with the table and the floor.
There is literally not enough salt piles in all of Tamriel to cook all the meat I find
Walk around the Riften underworks, and the rifen docks. Open fish barrels. Each fish barrel has 2-3 salt piles and there's like 50 fish barrels. Take any rivers bettys also because they make stupidly powerful poisons when mixed with salt piles. [editline]26th October 2013[/editline] I think I raided every single fish barrel in riften and walked away with 138 salt piles, never needed to go back
I have a question. Does anyone know if you supposed to be able to kill children in Skyrim but it was removed in development? Because if you kill Braith, then Lars will come up to you and say "Thanks for killing Braith" and give you 50 septims. I'd assume that it was part of a mod but it's fully voiced and everything.
Now in Did You Know Gaming flavor:
It's a shame you don't get perks for doing things. They'd be sorta like achievments but with effects on them. in-tux-i-cay-ted be under the effects five or more harmful substances at the same time one more ingredient can be consumed simultaneously Novice pyromancer run through a hundred sources of flame 5% fire resistance Child slayer Hey, the brat was asking for it Permanent -10 to luck and -5 from personality (if it existed). Maker of orphans Children grow up fast if you play for long enough an angsty teenager comes for you with high level equipment and a monologue Even stuff like town reputations would be good. Smash up enough items in a town? They give you gifts in the hope that you leave (or hire mercenaries, whatever is easier) This kind of stuff'd realy make players feel proud that they did or didn't do something.
Been getting back into Skyrim recently, at about lv20. Just did a dungeon called Ansilvund. If you haven't played it, do so. It is the best dungeon I have seen in Skyrim.

Is there some fix or workaround for argonian faces not showing up in the CK? I'm trying to make a follower but all I can see are his eyes and the inside of his mouth.
Really? I cleared it recently and it was the usual Skyrim shit dungeon.
There was an interesting storyline, really cool puzzle, traps everywhere (some of which can be used to your advantage), significant difficulty and variety of enemies (i have monsters mod too though), and a great boss battle with a unique item reward. Are you thinking of the same dungeon?
