Ahh damnit. I keep dying during the Lich ritual. Now I have to scour the internet to see what I did wrong. [editline]27th October 2013[/editline] Turns out I forgot to unbind my soul before continuing the ritual. I can now say that I am a true Lich
It dropped to the low 70s this past weekend in Miami and I just had to bust out the Skyrim. Feels so great playing in the winter. Hopefully we see more dips this season, these last few years have been horrible.
if I want to feel immersion in skyrim I just turn my desk fan on
Oh my god being a Lich is so fun Taking down 2 Giants will circle strafing them and belting them with Lighting Bolts

I hate most lichdom mods because they just make you an overpowered death lord who can shit on everything at level 5 and ruins the whole concept of an rpg (you know, developing your character and working them up to that bad ass level, sure you get the shit beat out of you early but it is all the more satisfying when you reach that power on your own as that character.) Idk, most mods these days seem to cater for the guy who plays the character till level 10 and then quits.

Also I feel like there was quite a bit of challenge to becoming a Lich. The quest line only rarely holds your hand throughout the ordeal and you need to know what ingredients are, because a note that describes how to make a part of the Lichdom potion says "Bloom from the swamps of Hjaalmarch". It took me a minute to realize that it was Deathbell it was talking about. The quest was actually kinda difficult because the enemies added where actually quite tough and challenging to kill. In the end, the reward was great compensation for all the shit you had to go through.
Why the crap does the light armor skill matter less the more you improve it? Can't even take arrows or blows from a steel sword like a man anymore without losing half of my health.

You barely have any armor (being light on armor getit?!?!?!) and the lack of armor makes you light. The whole point in wearing light armor is to be able to have mobility to avoid arrows and swords. Like, why are you expecting to take hits from arrows and swords wearing fur or leather without any downsides lol.

Probably should have bothered with heavy armor and tried for the weightless armor perk.
Light armor winds up being better than heavy armor. Glass armor can reach the armor cap (576 I think) it weighs very little and you get "weightless armor" perks very early on with light armor.

It's mainly what I'm going for. [editline]e[/editline] It would also help if I had a shield that also doubled as an instant magical ward. Swear there's a Daedric artifact that does that. I could just bother for Bound Bow and sell my hunting bow.
The questions is more like, "I used to be able to take these hits, but not anymore."
Skyrim's difficulty curve is stupid broken. A bandit marauder with a bow will usually deliver about 300 damage with each shot. If you're dying in one shot from arrows, it's probably some high level bandit shooting arrows at you. [editline]28th October 2013[/editline]
So dragonplate doesn't reach that cap? It's mainly what I'm going for.
Glass or dragonscale. Dragonscale is even uglier than glass armor so I prefer glass, both will reach the armor cap. Scaled armor might reach the cap if you smith the shit out of it.

Honestly I don't even know how this guy even managed to get what he described. "it was harder to kill me at lower levels" Like did you not put any points into health or something? Enemies will do more damage later into the game so if you've been focusing entirely on stamina or magicka then you might find problems further in?
Enemies do more damage but archers in particular do obscene amounts of damamage There's increasing returns with armor protection, so if you're at 500+ you might not notice the absurd archer damage, but if your armor rating is around 200-300 they can easily one-shot you because most of the damage gets through. Those types of archers don't show up until you're level 20+ which accounts for why the game got harder.

hooooooo shit, bows are so OP in requiem, both for the player and for the AI :v: (i seriously couldn't fight some bandits because of their .50 cal bows)

I haven't played skyrim for a while, but the fact that it actually got cold in Georgia made me bust it out. I have no idea what I was doing last time i played; my Argonian had no clothes on, his name was Dr. Dre...and he had like 4k gold. He was also only level 7. The fuck was i doing
Did you play game piss drunk? Wierd things happen when you play an Elder Scrolls game piss drunk.
Weird things happen when you play an Elder Scrolls game sober. Lydia got her head stuck in a pan last time I played Skyrim. Dragons were falling out of the sky and I had too many dragon souls to spend on shouts.
It wasn't that big Aftland felt bigger IMO
Aftland was bigger (Unless you count Blackreach as a separate area like I do), but this other unpronounceable place was far less linear. I got stuck in there for a solid hour or two because I kept going in circles without even realizing it.
Good luck fighting undead and heavily armor doods.
Crossbows mate.
Talking about Requiem here.
So am I. Crossbows are super useful in requiem for dealing with high armor targets.
Alright, I just set up a fresh install and I'm currently using this instead of an ENB or some other lighting mod. I really like the way it looks, but I figured if anyone would know of a better one it would be you guys. Is this one decent or is there one that does better?

Archers will start using more complicated arrows (Dwarven and Orcish, Falmer use Glass) and most warriors will use two-handed weapons and do more power attacks despite using an all-iron set.

I just hate how Fights turn into 'run away and use cheap ranged attacks' because the enemy has twice your health and over thrice your damage. Can't we have proper skill based duels? Timed directional blocking, dodging, maybe even some small acrobatics? And high level stuff too. Deflecting arrows and spells with your bare hands, Breaking skulls with headbuts, cleaving through multiple enemies in a single strike, Aiming for multiple enemies at once with ranged weapons, skewering multiple enemies with a spear, paralysing the enemy with fear, Using your opponent as a human shield against a rain of arrows, skipping across the heads of your opponents as if you were mario... That's my inner (outer) child speaking there. But surely todd also has that childish idea of what an elder scrolls hero should fight like outside of the game. mildly fearful that they could go overboard with this and in the next game the player fights like a demi-god from level one.
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/2700/? that mod (or is it ACE? either or) makes enemies using one handed weapons or sword and board much tougher to fight. I also got a mod that, among other things, adds a perk to sneak that makes attacks to the back do mini-sneak criticals, so the two combined reward you for dodging your opponents attacks.

Land shark!
