guys I think the nexus was down.
For the nexus it is better to assume it's down unless someone reports it's working.
Putting together a bunch of mods for my liking to make Skyrim better and then when I have it all working I'm gonna do a school assignment and when I'm done as a reward I'm gonna sit down and immerse myself into the game.
I'm also starting a new character and I'm either going to do an illusion thief, that seems to be the most enjoyable way of playing to me - but I'm considering doing a character with a mage focus! What kind of mage builds are there and how fun are they?

Now that is interesting.

This is brilliant, very useful, thanks!

How do I install the Skyrim HD 2K texture pack btw? I have the rar files downloaded but there are no bsp files in them, only the folder named textures :v:
For everyone having problems with SKSE, make sure you run the 'skse_loader.exe' as an administrator. It won't work for me otherwise.
alright, suggestions for mods? These are the ones I could think of and have installed at the moment
I thought running programs as administrator was common practice.
It might be, but sometimes people forget simple things. With Windows 7+ it won't run as an administrator even if you are on an administrator's account by default.
Today, I decided to kill Jarl Balgruuf

I always feel that the more mods I install, the less immersed I get.
Cherry picked the one image that wasn't adressing what I talked about.
I think the changes to the tundra and stuff are fine, because thats how it would look.
I'm talking about areas like the sea of ghosts, where they jsut change it so all the ice and snow and stuff are just rocks and its lush looking everywhere and high hrothgar has no snow
I.E.
Near the peak of a mountain... sunny and lush? Really?

Sea of ghosts area in the pale, which is the kind of area that should have permafrost now turned into a rocky almost-tropical looking zone just because its "summer"

I mean yeah you could say "uh technically the mountains in skyrim aren't over 1000ft high" but scale is exaggerated in Skyrim and the elderscrolls games, because it taking 1-2 real-world days to climb to the top of high hrothgar would be boring as hell. Its supposed to represent a mountain just like the Pale and Sea of Ghosts is supposed to represent a far northern glacial zone.
This is Logyearbyen in summer (Northernmost city with +1000pop.)

This is Longyearbyen in winter:

And northern Skyrim coast would be more like northern Siberian coast (the coastline is already similar :v:) than Svalbard.

I think its time to purge my modlist
On an unrelated note, the entire inside of the Black Briar Meadery seems to have disappeared. Anyone know how I can fix that?

To be honest, if you've got that many mods it's probably not unrelated.
Can I get the Improved Bonemold formula before starting Paid In Full? I looked at UESP, but I didn't get any solid info.
That looks sick, how did you get the body pile to look like that?
Heart Breaker. It lets you kill essentials.
Somewhat offtopic, but is it just me, or has the elder scrolls wiki got extremely annoying and intrusive ads now?

Just when the website was getting better....
Can I get the Improved Bonemold formula before starting Paid In Full? I looked at UESP, but I didn't get any solid info.
Yes but it breaks the quest.
1. Adblock
2. UESP.net
3. Why is there a separate wiki in the first place?
Adblock doesn't work so great when I'm searching stuff in the steam brower because I'm playing the game
The elder scrolls wiki came out of nowhere and somehow managed to dominate google searches even though UESP was well established. I accepted it's presence since it was getting more qaulity articles, but now I can't even read the articles. It's like they are trying to be annoying. To clarify there doesn't appear to be a way to close the ads. They just block the screen and can't be closed
Just go back to Uesp.net you scrub
I just hope UESP doesn't add TES:O pages because that'd turn the whole wiki into a clusterfuck.
This bug is starting to get really creepy now:
Player physics
does anyone have a user script that allows me to paste urls in plain text?

Yes but it breaks the quest.
Oh sweet. I don't care about any Thieves Guild stuff, so it doesn't matter to me

I'd glady use that but I'm a bit worried about the fact it's rendering 3rd person useless, I like scenic views.

Interesting NPCs.

You also pretty much need 60+ FPS since the mod is FPS dependant at the moment (and until future notice I don't know if he's working on it anymore or not).

It doesn't do that anymore, I just forgot to update the description
Anyone?
Found one! [sp]Kountervibe ENB Extensive with Ambient Occlusion turned off since it rapes my FPS[/sp]
I currently use http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/41482/? Rudys ENB Climates of Tamriel edition, makes the game more vibrant without overdoing it and washing out other colors or making it too bright and bloomy.

I remember trying to use that one, but the ENB binary it was asking for isn't archived anymore.
