The heavy armor in Requiem is pretty overpowered though. Plus why would you not invest a perk in heavy armor if you're using it?
I just don't like arbitrary annoyances... that's it. I don't feel like I should have to spec into standing in armor to not get exhausted while wearing it. Just like I should be able to recover my stamina when walking.
whenever I try and do a mage character I just always end up using the bound sword for mostly everything and that's rather annoying but they're so damn reliable.
they're like my favourite spell

Confirmed: Bethesda uses time travel technology to release their games sooner

The bound weapons are pretty crazy strong. I think if you get Bound Bow and the Mystic Binding perk you end up with something stronger than a Daedric Bow and it has infinite Daedric arrows.

What's happening on the 12th of December?
What's happening on the 12th of December?
That says 18 not 12.
What's happening on the 18th of December, then?

Ignoring the typical nexus shtick on the page with the naked women dancing and the what-not, this is an interesting mod.
Seems to be female only, unless you want to your male character to just have a pony tail.
Anyone have the link to the combat mod some FPer was making? I'm going to redo all of my mods and need a new combat mod.

The guy has a vid posted on the mod page. it shows how to make the custom hairs in 3dsmax, so it's not limited to ponytails.

Jesus Christ the videos...
I've got an annoying skyrim bug, not sure what mod or game setting is causing it. It used to be that if a saved/loaded a save game while I was on a horse, my horse would go flying into the air with me on it and start spazing out, usually before crashing into the ground with the velocity of a meteor
Now it just seems to do it if I've been riding a horse for more than 30 seconds. It was amusing for a while, but it's basically rendered horses useless as a form of travel
Anybody encountered this or know a fix?

When you load a game on a horse, it tends to do that. Dismount, then remount.
I was under the assumption that horses were always useless :v:
They're useful for climbing mountains, and this bug just makes them better at it.
I was under the assumption that horses were always useless :v:
In a game like TES horses as simple movement devices are pretty useless because you have to climb down every time someone attacks you, since horse combat is garbage.
Which is why I love gipsy eyes caravan so much, it's a mod that adds a working caravan that you strap to a horse and explore around with. A mod that makes horses tamer and not as aggressive is imperative to use with it and it prevents fast travel when on horseback, but it's a great mod to add immersion and utility to horses.

That's not the issue though, the issue now is it does it regardless of whether I save. Seems to be whenever the game loads a new world cell, my horse freaks the fuck out and goes off like a chinese fire arrow
I started a new game, only mods being Another Life. Started as a vampire. Not sure what to specialize in. I was thinking of being a battle mage.
anybody know why morrowind would crash to desktop while loading morrowind.esm on start up? i dont have any mods installed except "improved inns" and "delayed db attacks". the game has been working fine until randomly yesterday it started refusing to load.

Check to see whether the dependencies of your mods are being satisfied - I don't quite know why BethSoft never ended up filing down that sharp edge, but *all* the Gamebryo TESes reliably vanish without a good-bye when an ESP can't find a master.

i actually figured it out. the distant land files for mge-xe somehow got corrupted. redownloading mge and rerunning the distant land generator fixed it.
Did Bethesda ever make a statement regarding horses in Skyrim? There's practically useless beyond scaling mountains, and I find it hard to believe that their ability to traverse 85 degree vertical climbs went unnoticed during their QA.
Well, if they had QA. I guess the existence of actual testers is somewhat debatable.
Bethesda never seem to get done with their games before release and then try to patch everything after it is released. Their problem is that they try to add a bunch of advanced shit like radiant AI and immersive horse butts that they don't have time for anything else, before suddenly realizing that it's two months until release and they're not even close to done yet. The result is promised features getting canned and the game in general appearing to be lacking in places.

So I wanted to check this shit out. Googled it, clicked on a Youtube video. Only to be greeted by this:

Gotta love the community :v:
This guy isn't even doing it right, you're supposed to climb on the horse and not on the caravan to avoid collision issues and to make it more maniable. The seat on the caravan is for your companions.
I love how the jiggly tits simulation is pretty much making the game slow down to 10fps.
