Harumph, I got into the ESO beta. Not expecting much but here goes.

Got accepted into the beta!

Are a lot of people getting these invites? I just got mine a few hours ago.

Both my Girlfriend and I got an invite. So stoked it's in Cyrodiil.

I feel like a dumbass for being the only one who hasn't signed up yet. Mainly because I don't know how.

as a person that's been in just about every closed alpha/beta event they've had since they've started I can say I'm not terribly excited about being in this next one. since then, gameplay wise, not much has improved. [editline]19th November 2013[/editline] but who knows. all I know for sure is that their pricing system is nothing but a serious ripoff.

Been doing an extended Oblivion playthrough, something I haven't done in a very long time. Oblivion is probably my favorite TES game. It just does pretty much everything I want out of a TES game and then some. [t]http://cloud-3.steampowered.com/ugc/702855500351321406/E780AF816812B480E73E03DFD8EA684DA76E5F63/[/t] With the exception of Alternate Start, Jinx Morrowind Argonians, and Character Overhaul, the only mod major I'm using is Francescos Creatures and Items. FC&I was just enough to get me back into Oblivion again. It adds just enough cool shit that I'm always excited to see what loot I'm going to get or what monster I'm going to bump into. Dealing with shit in the plane of Oblivion is actually difficult and it fixes most of the weird leveling shit. I highly recommend this mod guys. [url]http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/40190/?[/url]

About that Oblivion mod: "We think that the game has to be challenging, but that not every fight has to be an epic one." That's not really true. Once you reach level 20+ most fights are not really epic or particulary hard even if the enemy wears high end gear. It actually gets easier as you get to understand more about the game because with spell making and insane poison damage fights become easier all the time. Still, Oblivion is the best TES game for me. The quests are just awesome.

Are these beta keys even really that selective? I mean, I got one, and when it asked why they should choose you I simply put: "Why not?"

Does anyone else just really hate Delphine and Gormlaith's voice actresses in Skyrim? Delphine, while not sharing the same voice as most female Altmer, sounds extremely haughty and conceited for someone trying to help a stranger save the world. When she speaks, she really gives off that "I'm the most important person in Skyrim" vibe, which is only [i]slightly[/i] fitting for the character, and I don't like some of the inflections she makes when talking. Gormlaith, on the other hand, sounds like nails on a chalkboard. Everything she says sounds like it should be read by a man, not a woman. It's all really forced and cringe-worthy, with a lot of unnecessary shouting. Maybe it's her lines, or maybe it's the voice actress, but either way, I really hate listening to her speak.

I've signed up for the beta on 22-1-2013, I still haven't gotten a beta invite. All I wanted is to join the cool kids club.

I'm so amped to play it on Friday. It just sucks its only until Sunday. I hate it when companies do that to their games.
