I reckon Teso's going to fuck up the equipment. At the start you'l have all the materials that have been in (nearly)every game (iron, steel,Elven, dwemer, orcish, ebony, daedric) Then suddenly they'd pull something like NEW WEAPONS FOR HIGHER LEVELS: Here's a bone club that's better than an ebony mace! . Here's mithril which you unlock at level 60 and it's much better than daedric. here's 136 new artifacts that soon every player will be holding.
Anyone tried out the Skyrim Civil War Overhaul version 2? Seems like a great reason to start a new playthrough but also seems a bit buggy at the same time.

I don't see them failing something so basic. TESO is failing at the more subtle things, like lore and race relations.
I want to form N'wahs with Attitude when TESO launches; but at the same time I want to see how fucked the places like Valenwood, Hammerfell, and Summerset are.
Anyone tried out the Skyrim Civil War Overhaul version 2? Seems like a great reason to start a new playthrough but also seems a bit buggy at the same time.
I'm planning on doing a new playthrough eventually with that one on- I haven't played Skyrim in a bit due to my own schedule, it gives a way to wait for some big mod updates too. Once that happens I'll give my thoughts on it. A friend of mine tells me though CWO V2 is much more stable than V1, the main issues currently are coming from certain missions not initiating like they should for some players. It goes without saying though that a mod like CWO is very script heavy so issues are bound to happen if certain scripts aren't launched or if they don't have time to process (ex like fast traveling to a place immediately after being told to do so). Have a good number of saves so you can revert back to one if a quest or something gets broken. The author is planning to release V3 at some point when he's done with his break, so maybe wait around for that until you make the jump to a new game. The problem is he locked the posts on the page until he returns so users can't report new problems or complain, so it's hard for me to gauge whether the mod is in a playable state from that.
Which is the best graphics mod/extender for Morrowind?
Is that Embry, the old guy from Riverwood? I didn't like that fucker, this old drunk always hanging around those kids right outside the inn, and the fact that the girl says "Papa says I'm too friendly with strangers..." didn't make me feel any more comfortable about the situation. So I stabbed him to death and when the guards came up I told them that the jarl was my homeboy and they let me go.
I always used my get-out-of-jail-free-card to kill Nazeem and all the annoying people in Whiterun, then I just sheathe my weapon and tell the guards that I was just kidding around and totally don't deserve jail for committing genocide. :v:
Got back into Skyrim lately and I've started reading the books in the game for once. They are really well written actually. Chances Folly has a funny ending, Woodcutters Wife and Cabin in the Woods are two of my favourites for sure for their thrilling content and even some of the lore books are quite informative. Who knew that reading in games would be so invigorating!!!
I've currently got a character to level 20 doing a one-life run; I've never even been in Whiterun or Helgen to start the MQ.
I hate that little brat in whiterun that picks on the other kids, so when I killed her I decided I'd make an example of her to keep the other little bastards in line. [t]http://i.imgur.com/bjDboYT.jpg[/t] I though that was a little much though so eventually I deposited her in her home so her parents would never forget what a shitty job they did. [t]http://i.imgur.com/faRtCdD.jpg[/t] Next on the list: [t]http://i.imgur.com/T9Evyuc.jpg[/t] [editline]21st November 2013[/editline] Also the new advisor is really popular at the keep, I wonder what his secret is?
I've currently got a character to level 20 doing a one-life run; I've never even been in Whiterun or Helgen to start the MQ.
I've done this a few times, most times I die between level 10-30: - Fighting the bear in Ivarstead at the bottom of the stairs of the throat of the world - Killed by falling of a cliff - Killed by Silver Hands in the second quest for the companions. The Silver Hand are pretty OP at level 15. - Killed by a trap in a dwemer ruin: this one was really bad, I was level 35 in heavy armor and at full health when a spinning blade trap killed me in one second. Had my share of fun and agony so I don't do this stuff anymore in Skyrim. Only in Oblivion were everything is safe and leveled :)
I never understood the dialogue the children have. Why are all they all such brats? Why do any of them assume I have anything to do with their parents? Especially when I don't know or care for the parents. And why do they feel the need to mock me all the freakin' time? Look you little snot nosed brats, I have an arsenal in my inventory I could paint the town red with your blood and you have the balls to mock ME!? THE DRAGONBORN!? I hate Bethesda for that. Because I know they only did it because they made the children un-killable (unless modded) so they clearly want every gamer out there to hate children.

I tell all my friends to stop and read some every once in a while, they're well done
I would read the books way more often in game if I could just find them in sequence. Like I'll pick up a copy of The Argonian Account volume 2 or something, intending to read them all once I find them. But then all I find from then on are like more volume 2's and a few volume 4's or something. Plus it means I can never use the bookshelves either, 'cause it'll look all incomplete and nasty. I've probably read most of the books on the uesp though.

I was about to attempt to play Morrowind again (I never got past the very first town after wandering around wildly for a couple minutes not accomplishing anything). I heard some of the skills are broken and I should probably avoid them, which ones should I avoid? Also are there any mods (other than Morrowind Overhaul) that you guys'd suggest?

The OP was a little bit dated, not sure if anyone else had any other recommendations other than those mods.

Hey guys, I'm sure that everyone and their grandma has come in here to ask for a key to the ES:O beta, but if someone would like to donate me a key I'd sure appreciate it. I already received a key via email, but my friend didn't manage to get one, and he wants to try it out with me. I understand if you guys are all out of extra keys or just don't want to give me one for one reason or another, but I thank you in advance if you wish to help. Just send me a pm if you wish to help me out. [sp]Also, I might take a few screen shots if people are interested, as well as give my general opinions on it when I get to playing it. I'll probably be playing as a melee or archery themed class, with a side of healing magics, and my friend (if he gets a key) will probably be playing a mage of some sort (probably argonian). Also, I'll take requests as to destinations that people would like to see. I probably won't get to them all, but I'll see what I can make happen.[/sp]
I will never ever consider the elders scrolls online a real elder scrolls game.

[t]http://i.cubeupload.com/zJi0qG.jpg[/t] It's the perfect crime.
Does that change her dialogue any though? Her annoying attitude is the main reason I killed her, adopting her would kind of defeat the purpose.
In regards to ESO, One of my friends signed up with me way back in January. I got an invitation yesterday but he didn't and he actually put work into his application. (As did I) I know this has been asked quite a bit but: did anybody get a beta invitation and truly does not want to play at all? If so, I (and him) would be stupidly grateful if he could have the key. I'm sure it wouldn't kill him not to play so if not, then whatever. [editline]21st November 2013[/editline] Crap, I didn't want pageking [editline]21st November 2013[/editline] Thanks Rakshi lord.
My application said I had the highest possible chance of being invited but I still haven't gotten one, maybe there was just a lot of applicants or something Either way I'm not super torn up, the combat is looking kind of floaty which is not a good sign, hopefully that improves closer to release though (they said they've improved that issue but I'm not really seeing it)
I was about to attempt to play Morrowind again (I never got past the very first town after wandering around wildly for a couple minutes not accomplishing anything). I heard some of the skills are broken and I should probably avoid them, which ones should I avoid? Also are there any mods (other than Morrowind Overhaul) that you guys'd suggest?
The only other things besides the Morrowind Overhaul that I would suggest to improve the game experience are: 1. A mod to make fatigue not drain while running around 2. A mod to make magicka regenerate slowly over time 3. A mod to fix the leveling system in some way (whether an overhaul or a simple +5 to all modifiers) At the very least, you'll be wanting the unofficial and code patches (included in the Morrowind Overhaul) to fix a lot of nasty bugs and make the game less annoying. You'll also be wanting the two expansions for the game, although you probably already have them if you bought the game somewhat recently. Tribunal adds a proper quest log to the game and a more detailed quest system under the hood, and both expansions are required by a lot of mods. Chances are there are about 5000 tips people can give you about Morrowind, but here are "a few" to cover things that aren't really explained in-game and are good to know: 1. The race you choose has a very large impact on your starting attributes and abilities, much more so than in the other Elder Scrolls games. For examples, High Elves have a huge bonus to starting magicka and magic skills, Nords start off proficient in multiple combat skills, Khajiit start off as skilled unarmed fighters and thieves, etc. Take some time to consider your class abilities before starting a character. 2. Pure mage is the hardest kind of character in Morrowind, but also the most rewarding. They have the most exponential learning curve. 3. Any merchant will buy stolen items as long as you don't try to sell back items you stole from them. 4. Some enemies in the game are leveled...others are not. Weapon damage is completely unleveled, so a level 1 bandit with a warhammer can still kick your ass. Save often. 5. Fatigue affects EVERYTHING you do, including bartering and magic. 6. Enchanted items recharge automatically over time, and the recharge rate is affected by your Enchant skill. You can open an enchanting menu by dropping a soul gem on your portrait, or you can buy enchanting services. You need a grand soul gem to create constant effect enchantments. 7. Willpower increases magic cast chance. 8. You are free to loot guild supply chests if you are a part of that guild.
Just freed a bunch of slaves in Morrowind. I felt great.
Just freed a bunch of slaves in Morrowind. I felt great.
I just got a slave in Skyrim, will fight for me, carry shit for me, do whatever the fuck I tell her to do and I don't have to pay her jack shit. I think her name is Lydia or something.

Sort of a voice that makes you want to find the nearest Nord embalming tool and use it to rip out her vocal box?
