I really like CHIM as the idea of a character realising the nature of the Universe and gaining the ability to mess around with reality, but I really dislike when it gets likened to breaking the fourth wall. I mean, it fits with the idea of save games and player characters and all that, but I prefer to think of it as its own thing.

They're all in the mind of anther, godlike being (the writer's), to them it's a god. it's not fouth wall breaking to the level of say, Deadpool, who knows he's in a comicbook, CHIM wouldn't make somebody realize they were in a videogame.
Best description I ever heard was that Chim is just a writer's nod to the fourth wall, a creative way of acknowledging the player's agency and narrative power ingame. It literally fearlessly points out the barrier between reality and fiction, reincorporates it into the lore, and blurs it even more by getting people to talk about it relentlessly out-of-game. Say what you want about Michael Kirbride, but he really scores creative points on that one.
I like to think that CHIM is the canon way to describe mods such as why the tundras of skyrim have suddenly turned into jungles and the women all have anime hair :v:
Wow gone for the weekend and 10 pages of new posts What did I miss
Wow gone for the weekend and 10 pages of new posts What did I miss
An awful mmo, so nothing really.

The ESO Beta was a great ploy to get us all playing Skyrim again
shouldn't that hat be burning
When the hat mod is complete it will combust if left on for too long, the time will depend on the strength of the fire resistance enchantment (and I guess I'll set a cutoff to where it doesn't happen at all) On a related note I've finally come up with names for my Flame Atronachs. Flame Atronach 1 and Flame Atronach A.
How romantic. I'm sure that's exciting when you whisper sweet nothings into their ears.

Well that's weird, load my save in skyrim and I'm missing one of my armor sets I usually use. Go to house (only one I use) and it's not there... guess elenwen will have to wait till I can make a new set of conjuration gear
Fuck, that feeling when you accidentally overwrite a level 60 character savegame Welp time to think of a new playstyle gimmick
Fuck, that feeling when you accidentally overwrite a level 60 character savegame Welp time to think of a new playstyle gimmick
console commands are your friend.
[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/17736620/ScreenShot56.png[/t] thus ends my first attempt at adding an armor model anyone happen to know how armor rigging works in skyrim?
I like how a bunch of places in the Solitude house do this: [t]http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/702856043201671154/0B7E08821E5A3B7EFBAFAAE6D8FE4F615F068B37/[/t] Great lighting 10/10 would light again
CHIM is realising that there is no spoon

In other news I think that alternate start mod is fucking up with quests, most of them don't start at all.

I'm sure it's related to something else.
[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/17736620/christmasatronachs.png[/t]
Hail summoner, conjour me up some Christmas cheer would you?
Whats that Skyrim.ini tweak that allows you to kill anyone, including children and essentials? Or is it a mod? Because I've ran out of things to do and I want to level up my destruction level
Anyone know a mod that gets rid of arrows automatically entering your inventory when you're being shot at?
How else are you going to collect arrows? Get insane health regen, then sit there and be a cushion for an hour. Unlimited arrows!
How else are you going to collect arrows? Get insane health regen, then sit there and be a cushion for an hour. Unlimited arrows!
player.additem <arrow code> 10000000
I've had NPC's I was shooting start using the arrows that I was shooting them with.
I very rarely use texture mods but I'm thinking of giving the amidianborn armor retextures a try. What's your opinion of it?
I very rarely use texture mods but I'm thinking of giving the amidianborn armor retextures a try. What's your opinion of it?
I've been using them all, and I really like them. They're much better looking than Bethesda's ones.
