Ahhh AHHHHHHH That was way, way too close. I've been juggling two diffrent skyrim characters and almost deleted my level 45 Orc warrior-ish character by voerwriting a hard save with my mage savegame Thank christ there was a single autosave left and I managed to recover it. Why the hell can't bethesda make a savegame system like DA: Origins or something so shit like that can't happen :suicide:
Brightened up the stormy nights a bit. [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/TESV_2013-04-29_17-28-59-55.png[/t] Still needs to be brighter?
I think that's much better.
You're asking for feedback, and you're getting it. What, do you only want to hear good feedback? Not much point in that, is there?
Yes... and I apologize. This is not how a modder should be going at things, especially since I've been doing this for over a year now... I'm going to do little adjustments and ask about the brightness accordingly. Nights are something I want to hammer out perfectly so everyone can enjoy them. [editline]29th April 2013[/editline] Sorry for going overboard on this.
What really works for me in that shot is that you get a very slight hint of the horizon and the hills along with the specular of the sky reflecting off the roof. You don't need to see the objects, but they should react somewhat with the environment. In the night time, no one really sees in pitch blackness, but we generally see reflections and glints in the dark that helps us "see" around us.

[editline]29th April 2013[/editline] Sorry for going overboard on this.
Actually you posted an image and immediately got slammed with dumb ratings and a bunch of knee jerk reactions to enb that characterize every thread version. Being outside on a moonless night was basically well represented by your enb config. I acknowledge that not everyone wants to turn Skyrim into hyperrealism, but given that was what he set out to achieve I don't think it was worth frothing at the mouth. This thread has been brutally reactionary for the last month or two, so much that it's a drag to post in.
I still can't really see anything. IMO for the stormiest of the darkest nights it should be moderately difficult to see, not impossible. With normal nights your vision should be slightly obscured compared to the day but not massively so (so slightly darker than the vanilla nights), in the interest of playabillity. I say this because I tried a darker nights mod for fallout 3 once and I could barely see in front of me, I was stumbling over everything. It has to be playable.
Mods that make places darker would be so much better if NPCs found it hard to see as well. It's not much fun when you're stumbling around in the pitch dark and everyone else has perfect night vision.

Eradicates any chance of saving over other characters! Hate to be that guy but ENB suggestions? Whatever you have, I just want to try something new/different :)
Ai! I missed the start. I just had the most wonderful experience. Went something like this: 'By Azura! Its-", guess what happened next.
I fucked up my Morrowind, so now I'm reinstalling it then I have to reinstall MSGO. How do 1st Person Enhanced?
I love how exploitable the noble missions in Daggerfall are, especially the courier quests where people try to steal what you're delivering. You can easily loiter in a town, let enemies amass around you, then kill them all and take all of their stuff. Perhaps the only downside is that it'll take a while to sell everything, and this town is now littered with dead Orcs.
That's what my skyrim towns look like after the repeated vampire attacks except littered with non-essential NPCs instead of orcs
Is there a mod that adds Sauron's armor somewhere? I'm a tad bored so I wanted to get the armor, the mace, make my character giant, and just go a killing spree.
Took me about 45 minutes to sell everything, but I made over 2 million gold from the whole ordeal.
2 million? I never got that much in all of my TES playthroughs combined.
Daggerfall's very generous with money. The most expensive Daedric weapon sells for a max of 60,000, and the most expensive piece of Armor sells for about 115,000. That, and merchants don't have a limited amount of gold, you can sell all you want, limited only by your carry weight.
What are good graphic mods for oblivion and how do you install them?
is it just me or was the Dragonborn DLC quite underwhelming? They could have done a ton more.

I messed with lighting on those damn storm nights again.... I may or may not have darkened it too much again. [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/TESV_2013-04-29_22-05-34-17.png[/t] [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/TESV_2013-04-29_22-05-50-08.png[/t]

Even on a full-screen view? Hmm... Okay, I messed too much perhaps. Slight ambient lighting increase... same scene as last time. I'm trying to figure out at what point, it comes across as viewable for people. Went from 60 - 85 in luminance. Same scene as the second image in previous post. [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/TESV_2013-04-29_22-37-17-98.png[/t] I'm not exactly sure why my monitor matches (mostly) the correct settings according to colour correction, but is still too bright according to everyone else.
You should take Masser and Secunda into account a little more. Masser looks at least as big as Mars and they're always both really bright, even when they logically shouldn't be.

Maybe I'll give the clouds a slight red hue, but even then, it's still supposed to be dark. Even tonight, there's cloud cover where I am, and it's pretty much that level of darkness, maybe more. [editline]29th April 2013[/editline] Went outside again (It's such a terrible place, I swear "fresh air" is toxic to me :v:) Joking aside, I waited for my eyes to adjust, and what I studied (I do live in the country-side of Ontario, Canada. And it's a cloudy night tonight.) is a little brighter then the ground lighting from the recent image I posted. The cloud lighting is bang-on bar the lower part where I have a few clouds that are too dark, but the ground lighting should be a little brighter. All around ambient should be a little darker. [editline]29th April 2013[/editline] And (From what I see on my screen) This is an accurate view of what the lighting looked like outside. (Using light rain weather C821F as example)
Okay, now, that looks really good. Much more like real night time while still remaining playable. I really like the idea of a reddish tint to the clouds when the moons are out! You should definitely try that, the tinting effect with the auroras was pretty amazing.
Awesome. If everyone else agrees with the lighting brightness on that cloudy night, it will serve as the base for all nights that are overcast (Snowy, rainy, foggy, and stormy.) Tomorrow, I will start going over clear and partly-cloudy nights with some aurora examples as well.
Ye, that's much better.
Just thinking it about it now as I admire the glory that is my "swag room" A great radiant quest would have been your house getting totally robbed. I mean in every TES game you just leave piles of priceless artifacts lying around your house willy-nilly, and yet you are so secure you can leave your house unlocked when you go out and leave your swag room unguarded Like if you don't have a housecarl or wife, you come home, a bunch of the valuable shit has been stolen, then you have to track down the thief/bandit who took it all.
