The Elder Scrolls Megathread XV: A Song of Ice and Draugr

I guess I'm being sentimental in Skyrim again.
So I got a letter of inheritance -- Angrenor Once-Honored, the homeless Stormcloak veteran in Windhelm, has kicked the bucket and bequeathed unto me a hundred bucks. I barely knew him, but I did spare him some cash once, because I'm a nice guy and I want to help out people who need it, and apparently that alone put me on his will.
And then I figure, "Oh damn, that means that me giving him some money was enough to single me out as the person who he thought should inherit every measly septim he ever saved, and that that my small act of unconditional kindness must've been probably the nicest thing anyone had ever done for the poor bastard." And things suddenly started making sense. People in Windhelm will love a Stormcloak who's out there on the front lines, killing Imperials, but once one is injured and 'useless' like Angrenor, they couldn't give two shits about what happens to him. It's why he became pals with Rolff Stone-Fist, joining him in heckling dark elves in the streets, just so he could have an enemy to blame his problems on and a friend to do it with. And all this time the only thing he needed was the one thing no one ever gave him -- basic kindness, without asking him to be a war hero or a member of a lynch mob to earn it first.
So I traveled to Windhelm to see if I could find his grave in their Hall of the Dead, but I couldn't, so I went to the shine and I left an amulet of Talos and a bottle of Nord mead.

I know you probably don't like Argonians all too much in general, and I didn't really like the way you and your friend Rolff were harassing that dark elf lady. Still, you had it rough, and I hope you finally get to live it up in Sovngarde, homie.

When I had to sacrifice a follower to boethia to start her quest, I figured I'd grab a random merc or something to sacrifice. Later on, a courier came up to me and handed me a note saying they had written me into their will and left me all they had. I actually felt kinda bad
But literally means Level Of Detail
Eh I described what it does, it is the internet like 90% of the shit I say is probably bullshit.

That's bullshit.

"You know, before I met you, I was lost and alone in life, hiding behind a wall of bravado and plate armor. That day you dragged me up that mountain and sacrificed my soul to the evil demi-god of backstabbing, you gave me what I needed most: a purpose. I wasted my life killing people for money and spending it on cheap mead and lusty argonians. At least in death I accomplished something, even if that was to further empower a homicidal kleptomaniac hell bent on raising a bunch of drunk racists to a position of international power. Thank you, Scott Evil, for making my life meaningful. As thanks, I'm leaving you what a fraction of the money you paid me.
PS: Excuse my handwriting, it was really hard to write this while you were disemboweling me."
Using AFT i nabbed some random mod NPCs as companions. One is named "Mercenary Warrior" and the other is just "Body Guard." I literally shit a brick whenever skeevers spontaneously leap out of tall grass and bite me, but Body Guard has summarily executed them midair on multiple occasions
They my generic homies fr real tho
I tried out that random start mod, I really like that over alternate start from a kind of... fresh start standpoint. I mean Alternative seems better than the vanilla gameplay wise, but something is very nice about working with what you got.
-My Elder Scrolls adaptation of the Grinch.
Is there someone whose good at picture posing ingame? I want to to a narration of my adaptation.
Finally got the motivation to do the Dawnguard quests.. seems fun but the vamp chick is pissing me off with her "personality" .. I mean you can't even marry the bitch but I'm supposed to feel connected to this skank?
Annoyyinnggg..

Using some ungodly combination of my mods, I somehow managed to recruit a variety of bandit in a dwarven ruin one time. He just kept muttering those things bandits always do when they're not busy trying to chop your head off, but he was pretty cool. I scrounged together a full set of Falmer armor for him and sent him on his way. Hopefully one day I'll meet him again and he'll remember our adventures, and delay at least three seconds in trying to chop my head off.
You better watch out,
You better not cry
You better not shout I'm telling you why,
Ysgramor is coming to town
He's making an axe
He smithed it himself
Gonna find out who's a damned dirty Elf,
Ysgramor is coming to town
He knows if you're a Mer-folk,
He knows if you're a spy,
He's coming round with Wuuthrad so be faithful or you'll die,
Oh
You better bow down
You better not cry
You better not frown I'm telling you why,
Ysgramor is coming to town

I'm not a native speaker but what I read from this is "I cannot feel attached to a female character without having the explicit ability to enter her vaginalo"
someone correct me?

I, too, hate characters with a measure of personality. Wouldn't it be so much better if she was one of a million other NPCs that were marriable and served no purpose beyond an utterly minuscule gold injection every now and then?
No what I meant was, this has to be one of the few characters that you can sorta get a connection with ingame.
Voice acting, character history and maybe even relation (her asking about Dragonborns feelings on how he grew up).
It kinda made me think you could marry her or some shit.
Not to enter her vagina Ecksdee :v
I'm terrible at explaining shit, hence me lurking for the most part.
She'd make a good wife though, vampy sexyness with awesome powers.

Oh for goodness sakes.
So i made a pack of short dungeons and there's the most interesting bugs i swear to talos.
Draugr corpses are non-lootable in the 2nd half of one of the dungeons.
Followers wont drop down a shaft despite being properly noded.
Imperial Legion Dragon Crest
Seriously, the Imperials were founded by Tiber Septim, a dragonborn, which is why the symbol is a dragon.
I thought the symbol depicted an avatar of Akatosh?
I thought the symbol depicted an avatar of Akatosh?
Still, all has to do with dragons, and since you gots a dragonsoul in you, that means you are a son of Akatosh, and will return to his realm after you die
(AKA the daedra get to be whiny bitches when they realize they can't claim your soul after their quests)
It's the whole dragon relationship
Akatosh---->Tiber Septim---->Dragonborn
Bitch please, Akatosh ain't shit compared too the real dragonnigga Peryite

"3D Maneuver gear works for titans, it should work for dragons, too!"
5 minutes later, 1 mile into the sky
"I did not think this through"
I tried out that SPERG mod. Some of the perks seem nice, and give a good feeling of working with one another (what's that called again?), but other perks seem to be in the wrong place, or don't make sense. Why are potion perks in the enchanting tree? Why do alteration perks somehow affect your racials? Why is fire damage buffed so much in several different trees? Why is lockpicking also an unarmed tree? They should have made a separate unarmed tree instead.
Don't get me wrong, it's still really nice, it's just that it could be better.

Pretty sure you cannot create brand new skilltrees in the CK so people have to work around it. As for the out of context skills it was an attempt to make the innate versatility of your character a bit more legitimate. Since there are no classes, I guess the modder had to work around that and instead created some perks that allows for some order of levelling that previously wasn't viable, and make some things that weren't fun to play fun again.
You can disable any perk you don't like via the mod configuration menu anyway so to be honest I don't see the issue with these perks with being out of context, not to mention pretty much every perk can just be ignored if you don't want them except for Ethereal arrows which you need for eagle eye and even that can be disabled via a specific .esp file.
For enchantment leveling up potions I'm fairly certain it's in an effort to make leveling enchanting/alchemy a lot less painfully boring than before since both trees now improve the other a lot more, which makes leveling them a lot faster. Same reason why the mod allows for smelting of armor/weaponry.
I really like SPERG because it gives the perk trees that versatility and give perks this uniqueness that makes some previously boring skilltrees interesting again.

If I uninstall that after Christmas will I have issues? I know that removing some mods on a save can bugger it up.

I haven't noticed any issues yet. It changes some minor areas in cities (adds christmas trees) and it has packs of carolers in the cities, but that's about it. Just don't do any quests specific to that mod.
