i think it's funny how whenever i face an op enemy, i always seem to find a way to psych them out by standing in a certain spot, running around a table, or jumping on top of something.
So I decided to finally go ahead and play through all 5 core games in a row. Arena is pretty hard to get into since, having never played the game before, I don't have the nostalgia level required to get really sucked into a game as old as this one. Still, I'm going to soldier on, and secure the legacy of my Nord Warrior, Jaynis The Free. I want to be able to experience the real history of this series.
I can see the back of your character is looking good...
He is just wearing generic steel plate armor, not much to show and from that angle you can see what I am seeing in game, and it is pretty lovely.
Arena has some serious flaws as is, Daggerfall is much better in comparison.
I forgot the animation mods affect NPCs. So now all female NPCs stand like heroic badass and make flourishes with their swords. Fantastic.
You can try the PC exclusive thing.
There's a Player exclusive version? Where's that?
Well, I need a custom race for that to work, or the custom races mod to create 'custom race' that is just the standard version. That's quite a few hoops to get though. May give it a try anyway.

Big ass greatsword resting on my shoulder looking awesome. bandit comes charging at me. decapitation on first strike. walk over his body. second bandit rushes me. sliced in half at the waist. continue slowly walking into the fortress as arrows and swords harmlessly bounce off my armour. imagining the fear in their eyes.

I would rather have to plan out my attack on a fort knowing that they can very easily kill me just as easily as I can kill them.
Er, you sorta NEED FNIS if you're using multiple animation replacer and stuff, and if you do uninstall it along with all the animation mods, make sure to remove animation mods, and then run the FNIS generating thing before you uninstall. I think that was the proper uninstall procedure...
But I'm not using any animation mods anymore, I got rid of them all. I'm using plenty of animation replacers though, but all those worked before I added SkyRe and some cooking mods, So I'm going to have to uninstall a bunch and then go back and see what works.

It's one of the things you miss out for the most part when you make areas scale with the player. There's some good reasons to scale enemies, but overall I still prefer non-scaling

On the one hand you can get your full Daedric set and bulldoze a fort full of wimpy Imperials, and feel like you earned every second of it, but on the other hand you can meet a roomfull of Death Lords at level 3. I love that kind of hit-or-miss to be honest, it makes the game feel much more open when you can stumble into the wrong area and get completely wrecked by monstrosities you're not kitted to fight.
Yea I got fucking swarmed by I shit you not at least fifteen deathounds when leaving whiterun, and my skyrim is unleveled so they were biting me down and draining my fucking stamina it was terrifying. Luckily for me a mercenary who was leaving whiterun came out with an ebony greatsword and drew their aggro for about 5 seconds. He was wearing a full set steel plate mail and upon using a sense attribute spell I saw he was level 35. So he was a level 35 proced into heavy armor with an entire set of steel plate and fell in 5 seconds. Luckily for me I had thrown down resistance field that gave me 50% bonus armor and magic resist, one fire rune, a flame cloak and circle that increases all damage done by my character by 20. Was a bloody battle that involved me having to use 10 health potions, whirlwind sprints, bashing with the bow to paralyze and using dual cast fast healing. BUT I PREVAILED. I also got all that nice gear that high level merc had, upgraded the steel plate to flawless and then sold it along with the ebony greatsword (not quite high enough level to improve that yet).

The entire expansion felt like something from Michael Bay.
Has anyone else done the quest that leads you to Sheogorath? This guy is fucking great. (In Skyrim, I mean; I haven't really played any of the other games.)
Has anyone else done the quest that leads you to Sheogorath? This guy is fucking great. (In Skyrim, I mean; I haven't really played any of the other games.)
Easily one of the more entertaining quests even if the reward is a bit lackluster
I just noticed Oblivion Flame Atronachs have pointy elf ears.
Did you uninstall them properly? Or did you just remove the animation files?
I deactivated them from NMM, and cleaned any remaining Esps and files. And the game worked fine after I did that. But after I installed SkyRE and some other city enhancement mods, that's when the problem came in.
so I'm pretty tempted to get the dragonborn DLC for this. Is it worth it? I'd like to know what I might be in for (sans spoilers if possible) before i drop 20 dineros on this.
Ah, yeah. Non-levelling worlds. Anybody else ever wander into that cave south of Balmora as a new character, stumble around in the dark a bit, then get pwned by that flame atronarch? Learning experience. "Ooh, what's that glowing thing? It looks like a pers-- AAAUUGHHH" *dead* [editline]13th December 2013[/editline]
so I'm pretty tempted to get the dragonborn DLC for this. Is it worth it? But it's changed a lot since then. And you eventually get to ride dragons, but you can't really control their flight. So meh. There is some nice loot, though.

After removing tons of mods, it's still broken :p I'll spend the rest of today remodding I guess with a vanilla copy. I got them all already downloaded and setup thankfully.
Huh, I can write directly on the maps in Arena so I can figure out which goddamn blotch on the town map is the place I need to go after visiting there the first time. This will be useful. Also, found a weird glitch where selling particular items (for me it was bracers and a plate helm) gives me a shit load of money. Thanks to that I managed to buy myself a full set of Plate Armor (minus the helm, so I can see the crudely-drawn face of my character). Now to find the Mage's Guild in Stonehills so I can have it marked on my map AND so I can get this disease I got in the starter dungeon cured. WOO! PROGRESS!
Well, great. I just pulled a Dead Money on my Skyrim. Begin again, and know when to let go. Fucking got to start all over again and play vanilla with Skyrim Unofficial Patch. :/ Saves were crashing constantly. And I think my Skyrim is causing hardware failures when I run Simple Borderless Windowed, but that might also be caused by the age of my machine.
Meeh, What the hell is the point of making a skill legendary... Tried it for the first tme on my lockpick skill. Instead of calling it legendary they could have implemented skills over 100. Good thing i made a save beforehand and I also have elys uncapper..
It lets you level infinitely? You get all the perks back that you used in the tree and you can level it over again so you can level forever. Making skills level past 100 would make the balance even more disastrous because you could smith swords to do so much damage it would eventually wrap around and either do 0 or negative damage :v:
I'm getting this weird glitch in Morrowind's inventory view where my character's body parts are all detached. How fix? [editline]adfs[/editline] Alright, yeah, funny. Seriously though does anyone know?

I think I actually managed to make immersive animations work... Months of constantly messing around, all for this. I feel proud.
Wow I never realized how lenient skyrims jail system is. I amassed a bounty of 40,000 gold. I checked my days passes when I got out, and I think I only spent like 3 weeks in jail. Talk about a drive though justice system
