If it's the USP then that's really ironic
I fixed it. It was because the Unofficial Patches weren't directly underneath Dawnguard and Dragonborn in my load order. When I was manually installing and testing all of my mods I must have for gotten to set the load order straight. Its all good now. Also, after killing Mirmulnir and heading to Balgruuf, Irileth interrupted our conversation and told me friendship went a long way and she was grateful for it. She gave me an iron sword that was just heavy enough to exceed my carry weight limit. Good thing I just got Lydia. I can make her carry that sword until I get back to Elysium Estate.
Turns out that that 360 modding I mentioned was just a bunch of downloadable saves of maxed out characters. No thank you.
Yeah, that's pretty much all 360 modding in general.
and I really wanted to play as a special snowflake snow elf ;-;
Well fuck me, somehow Alduin became invincible when I tried fighting him. Not cool, World-Eater. In other news, I realized how big of a collective asshole the Dwemer were. They put lethal traps in their own goddamn cities, in places that make no sense when accounting for normal use of buildings. Were all the Dwemer expected to be on the lookout for traps? It's like going to the dentist or the mall and having flamethrowers mounted above the door.

They were a really enigmatic group of midget-dudes that hid underground and burned each other to shit with flamethrowers mounted on their ceiling fans, right? But still, who the fuck would make the only door handle shoot spikes through someone's chest?!

"Oh hey phil, guess what, jerry walked into the buzzsaw on level 23 yesterday, shit was jokes." *proceeds to stab him to death* This is my head-canon, all Dwemer were brutal sadists.
My guess about the Dwemer is that the traps were built into the cities, but not always active and that very soon before the whole disappearing thing there was a mass psychic distress signal (dwarves were all connected psychically). Or it's a thing the automatons were programmed to do, like "if you don't get any orders in a year, lock the place up and activate the traps".
So, what would happen if someone were to build a rocket and try flying upward?
that literally actually happened, I can't find the book but it's somewhere in the imperial library

They were still dicks for the brutality employed in their traps, though. That, and the Falmer. The Dwemer subjugated and then blinded them over successive generations. How shitty is that?
That looks x100 better than skyrim.
Garuntee that it will be filled with memory crashes and infinite loading screens galore unless each section of a city is split into tiny chunks that are exactly this size.

I'd imagine things would be locked down pretty tight to keep them out, and the Dwemer clearly didn't care about brutalizing a race they genetically blinded. I'd be willing to believe they'd tell people to stay home and activate the traps on the streets in case the Falmer came a'knocking.
Sorry to interrupt the discussion, but does anyone know of any mods that activate dragon spawns at the start of the game? I really hate creating a new character then having to slog through Bleak Falls and fight Mirmulnir at the watchtower.
Huh, Bleak Falls Barrow was the first thing I did when I was freed in the game because I had no idea what I was doing. It was the first thing I recognized, so I made a beeline for it and cleared it out with nothing but armor and weapons taken off the bandits and Draugr I killed on the way.

Still waiting for someone to make a mod for the 360 version jk, but for real wheres my 4gb patch.
Dwemmer makes some shitty traps. You would expect something more than just blades, spikes, and flamethrowers.
A spike covered gun that shoots flaming blades. Man, I'd make the perfect Dwemer trap creator.

It was actually the [sp]game developers.[/sp]
Does anyone else disable fast travel?
So are we done comparing sex mods yet? Enderal seems to be coming along nicely. *pics* Also Ethas: Embrace of Destiny looks to be promising. *More pics*
Oh wow, and I just finished playing Moonpath to Elsewyr. It was a great mod, but the ones you just mentioned look even more astounding. Don't see much total conversion mods that look this good.
Does anyone else disable fast travel?
No although it wouldn't be that bad considering the carriages and such. My most used home though is the one is solstheim so if I disabled fast travel it would take wayyyyy too long to get there to grab stuff
I tried doing a no fast travel run but I just couldn't lmao Maybe if Skyrim had reasonable quest locations.
A friend sent this to me, someone beat the main quest without killing a single thing other then Alduin. No idea if it is legit or not.
What about the dragons you -have- to kill along the way, did he just let npcs/followers do it or something?
You can skip it via glitches. He probably used Speed Run tactics.

Works decently well. Keep in mind though it isn't until after certain points in the MQ that dragon spawns start happening with any level of real frequency though, so it'll become a rare occurance (which is awesome when you use mods to beef the fuck out of them). http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/9621
This didn't work for me. I use alternate start mods though so that might be why, I bet this mod works only if you play through helgan
You can skip it via glitches. He probably used Speed Run tactics.
Could you elaborate on this a little? This is pretty interesting and I had no idea that people do this.
After a decade of playing mead-swilling Nords (well, not constantly, but you know what I mean) and not really knowing much about it, that changed yesterday. I stopped and got a bottle on the way home, then I drank a mug of mead while clearing out a bandit camp. Now, this particular mead isn't really for me, but there are other varieties as well. Just to go easy on the budget, I think I may only try a new mead every other week.
