The Elder Scrolls Megathread XV: A Song of Ice and Draugr

The other day I figured out that fighting giants was significantly easier on horseback - you can ride by them and swing your weapon, avoiding the giant swinging club that would otherwise crush you if you were on foot.
Today, I learned the hard way that this did not apply to dragons. One of them landed and so I set of towards it, one-handed axe in tow, and I got in one hit before I rode up on top of the dragon, it took off, and my horse was sent flying at high speeds.
The kind of beasts you would see on an average women, the kind of beasts that don't stand out, the kind where if you saw them you'd say, yep those are normal beasts
So like small dogs, house cats, and hamsters?
As opposed to wolves or dragons or things that look like house cats but are actually Khajiit?
I posted that picture and now Maverick has absolutly lost it.
He is one with Loverslab, now and forever.
While investigating Skyrim mods, the poster Maverick became obsessed and fused with LoversLab, and it was partially your doing.
However, there is a way to separate them. As this was your fault, it is only fitting that you are the one responsible to fix it.
You must find a way into Maverick's computer, and from there into Skyrim, where he will be stuck in an infinite loop of bandit and wolf rape. You must alter his fate, freeing him from whatever the fuck is fucking him. You will then force him to exit Skyrim and go outside or something, separating him and his computer. Then you must purge his Skyrim folder of the filth, and his computer will be restored to its former glory, allowing any multitude of clean mods.
Be wary, however. I sense a dark presence in the thread. Some may persuade you to embrace the filth, and instead turn his computer into an evil machine to spread rape mods throughout all Skyrims. I don't think I need to tell you not to head down that path.
Now go. Maverick's computer should be somewhere in the sunken apartment building of England's Deep.

I made a sort-of historically accurate Roman Gladius. Maybe someone in the thread could put this into Skyrim for me?
Just drop me a pm or something.
Here have my new desktop.
Yea it makes it more interesting, but not always more difficult.
I don't understand why it's so hard for people to read Apollodown's descriptions. Yes they're pretty bad but the details about what his mods do are still there.
Its just stupid unnessicary bullshit description made by someone who has an "LOL RANDOM XD" sense of humor that doesn't really have a place in a description, and only appeals to embarassingly awkward teenagers who still think family guy is funny
AKA try-hard
I can understand a witty/jokey description but his descriptions are literally 90% over the top trying to be funny and not very cohesive at actually conveying what his mod is about, and not actually being funny
For example for fire and ice mod he made I literally had to just look up a video someone else made that reviewed the mod in order to get a clear picture on what the fuck it was about. Thats just shitty design, and unnecessary. His descriptions just make him look like someone who does nothing but worship /b/ and its embarrassing
All he needs to do is cut out half the description, and make it clear what his mods are about, versioning, etc. He can keep the rest of the crap as long as it is still pretty easily clear what the mod(s) are about and his mod pages would be 100X better just from that alone.
Been spending more time modding my skyrim than actually playing it, and I'm loving it. I've been thinking of picking up oblivion, are the playability issues fixable by mods? Is it worth it etc :v:

It's definitely worth the current price of $7~
I love how the FP TES thread now just has a comical loverslab player that people are minding less and less :v:
how is DCO? does it actually live up to what it says it does and makes dragons more interesting to fight and not a total letdown? i can get past how retarded the description is set up, but i just wanna know as where i had it reccomended to me to use, also reccomended at the same time not using it
I used that mod on my last playthrough and I can say the following
-The most obvious change in that mod is the way the dragons can kick you around. This happens when they touchdown near you, which will send you and NPCs flying the same way that a dragr using unrelenting force does, but with more upward push. This is more annoying than anything, and can usually instakill your character if you go flying off a mountainside. The dragon can also do this when they slam their tail down enough. There's an optional plugin that disables this feature.
-Dragons seem to respond to injuries better than in vanilla, so there's a way to ground them, though this kind of becomes redundant once you get Dragonrend. I feel like wounding their wings when they are on the ground actually does something when I play the mod but I might just be imagining things.
-It is coded to bring in additional dragons. I've seen this happen to me on a number of occasions, and it does make it challenging in a sense. However they don't really work together, so it doesn't seem too organic. The mod description also claims that dragons can absorb the soul of fallen dragons for themselves to restore their health.
-There's more "deaths" for the dragons besides slumping over. Though in my last playthrough the only other one that came up was the one where they stand on their hind legs looking at its wings before roaring out as they disintegrate.
-It's possible to one-shot a dragon in mid-air once their health is low enough, but this only happened to me once during my whole playthrough.
-In general it encourages you to take cover when the dragon is flying around and spamming its fire/ice/what ever breath. Combined with Deadly Dragons this can kill your character fast. On the ground the damage the dragon gives when it bites is very high, and is compounded by deadly dragons.
I suggest you try it out for yourself. Just make a save you can revert back to without the mod on it, because DCO is script-heavy and will leave in a lot of stuff if you try to uninstall it from a save that it was enabled on. It should be easy to put it on and find a dragon to fight to see if it's features are interesting enough for you to keep, or annoying and not worth using.
In terms of more substantial gameplay changes, civil war overhaul is more in that direction, but it is far more script-intensive than DCO is, and I'm not sure if it is stable enough to run though the author says it is.

What I find more annoying about it is that the description will be completely lost on people who don't speak English as a first language. It's confusing enough for those who speak it to begin with when you read through it.
Here's a question for me as I prepare for another playthrough. I looked at mods I currently have to see if any've been abandoned, and one that seems to be heading in that direction is Dance of Death. I liked what it did, but I've been wondering if it is worth keeping on anymore in spite of the author being absent. If it is not worth it, what's a good alternative to try?
^DCO
I fired an arrow at a dragon around 60ish % he dies and slams full speed into a nearby mountain, that is just so satisfying and hilarious :v:
A while back I saw someone post (I think it was in this thread) what the ideal load order for mods was, based on what they change in the game, i.e. big mods that change core elements should go near the top, while mods that just add things like a weapon addition mod go near the bottom. Can someone reiterate it?

I like to think people wonder what they'll be remembered for in life. Maybe they'll be a rockstar, maybe a doctor in space! the world is open to them.
every choice under the sun welcomes them with open loving embrace.
But no.
I'm going to be remembered as "that guy who downloaded so many skyrim sex mods that he lost myself to the game."
well fuck it. if Time to go full hog.
Yeah it's happening.

Thinking of reinstalling Oblivion, if only for the new OCO version.
Any mods that are a must have?
[sp]Put Estrus and I'll skin the whole sorry lot of you. Even I'm not bad enough to deserve that.[/sp]

Looks like the first part of my plan is starting to bear fruit. Could you provide the rest of your mid list? I need it to note some results.

Yea I have no idea how to do it, I was just going to photoshop it into a skyrim picture and link him a reuploaded estrus mod and say he has to go "earn" the weapon from bleak falls barrow.
In that case, you'd have to make your reuploaded version make draugr trigger the estrus effect.
There's bandits before the draugr silly.
Scramasaxes look better than gladiuses anyway

A guard on your sword ? Haha yeah sure if you're a huge pussy that is
Facepunch, I need mods, any mod, and I mean anything, I want to play through the game with just mods you guys tell me to download.
Don't expect me to post anything on it for a couple days though, I am going to busy with family stuff for the next 3 days.
Oh, I know I am going to regret it.
