It only happens to me in the overworld too but it's seriously fucked, the entire area around solitude and a good portion of eastmarch will just constantly, unconditionally and inevitably crash. Period. It's like they just shoved a keyboard up someone's ass and waited for the game to code itself
Moonpath was never finished and conflicts with everything, I'd remove it after completing it, honestly.
the lack of effort put into something as simple as checking grammatical/spelling mistakes puts me off from even trying it tbh after playing through some of thirteenorange's stuff, the bar has been set high enough for me that little things like that irritate the hell out of me when i talked to some of the moonpath characters [editline]31st December 2013[/editline]
It only happens to me in the overworld too but it's seriously fucked, the entire area around solitude and a good portion of eastmarch will just constantly, unconditionally and inevitably crash. I tried disabling all of the mods I have that somehow add recurrent scripts, shit still goes down. This is down to Bethesda being absolute shit at making any sort of working engine.
Speaking of being the high king of skyrim...
What mod is this and why don't I have it yet? [sp]just noticed it's in the title, don't answer me[/sp]
I'm really confused. On my PC, all the sounds are playing fine. However, on my laptop, sounds like panting while sprinting and weapon draw sounds are missing. I don't know what's wrong. I've tried verifying and everything. Does anyone know how to fix my problem?

[editline]31st December 2013[/editline] the problem is your laptop is running a lower directx than the one you downloaded when you installed the game open skyrim's file location, go to the directx folder, run dxsetup.exe [editline]31st December 2013[/editline] also going to assume its all ingame sounds
Nevermind there is the whole questionable nature of whether or not Dagoth Ur was actually a villain, or loyal liegeman to Nerevar fighting back against the murderers of his lord.
Voryn Dagoth started with the noble intentions of keeping Lorkhan's heart away from the Tribunal, but for whatever reason he ended up connecting himself to it and became corrupted and evil, which is where Dagoth Ur comes in. He was trying to do much more than just fight the tribunal. He wanted to literally conquer Tamriel using Akulakhan and enslave everybody using Corpus disease. Also, Dagoth is the one who killed Nerevar. In the fight to push Dagoth back Nerevar was mortally wounded and died after convening with Azura and the Tribunal and making the decision to not use the tools, which he made the Tribunal swear to. The betrayal by the Tribunal wasn't them killing him, it was them going back on their promise to not use the tools on the heart, which they did anyway. [editline]banana[/editline] That is to say, the story goes both ways. Some accounts say that the Tribunal killed Nerevar, and some say Dagoth did, but in Morrowind itself Vivec denies killing Nerevar and Dagoth admits to fighting him, along with other clues, it's most likely that Nerevar died from wounds sustained while fighting the Dagoth.
When you revive a slain dragon with the console after absorbing its soul, can you get another soul out of it when it re-dies?
When you revive a slain dragon with the console after absorbing its soul, can you get another soul out of it when it re-dies?
why would you do that and yes
When you revive a slain dragon with the console after absorbing its soul, can you get another soul out of it when it re-dies?
If you want to cheat more souls in, just use player.modav dragonsouls #

Vivec would have good reason to lie to the reincarnation of Nerevar if they had killed him, so his word is immediately suspect.
I can't say that has been happening to me. Might be another mod on your end or something. Does it affect new saves?
aye. I made a new one after my old one went unstable and i'm still getting the same effect. Still, I can't be assed to go through all 64 of my mods to find the conflict. I guess I'll just have to be followerless.
I'm really confused. On my PC, all the sounds are playing fine. However, on my laptop, sounds like panting while sprinting and weapon draw sounds are missing. I don't know what's wrong. I've tried verifying and everything. Does anyone know how to fix my problem?
I recently had this problem with my SSD because it wasn't partitioned properly and it was acting like a storage space. The missing sounds are a common problem with installing Skyrim on external hard drives or non-primary drives.
I've been wanting to replay Oblivion, but I only have it on 360.
You're playing modless I assume? The only other problem I can think of is that it is installed on my external harddrive. I'm going to move it over to my laptop drive and see if that fixes it. Also, it's just certain sounds. Most sounds play, but it's a few small but noticeable one's that won't play.
Me too, but then I remembered the dated mod utilities I would have to use to get it working properly.
I might just end up playing some more on 360 because I would mostly be playing [sp]vanilla[/sp] anyway.
Is there mod that gives you your own town? OR lets you build one? I want to roleplay my character as going from hunter to 'jarl' of their own town. Is there anything like this?
Tundra Defense, and there is another one. Called Riverhelm? I think. I can't really remember.

[editline]31st December 2013[/editline]
Tundra Defense, and there is another one. Called Riverhelm? I think.
Skyrim is such a CPU void that essentially installing any mod that somehow adds recurring script, such as Wet & Cold, Sounds of Skyrim or Audio Overhaul will either remove all textures in the game on a regular basis due to not enough ram to render it, or will make the game crash entirely at some places, sometimes also frying the savegame with it. It's a fucking script giving items to people when it rains or playing specific sounds at night, and somehow skyrim is such a buggy piece of shit that's enough to make everything go to shit. I run BOSS every single time I install a mod to prevent this, but there are just some mods that make skyrim's CPU usage go way up the charts, it's unbearable. Guess I'll have to give up on ENB and use imaginator instead, even though the game hurts my eyes like a bitch after 30 minutes of playing without ENB. Either that, or shut down literally every single thing running in the background to make sure skyrim can use my 4gb of ram + the allocated hard drive space (around 6gb on my third hard drive) without shitting itself every five seconds.
You're running it on 4? My god I feel sorry for you. I'm running it on six and I can't play for more than an hour and a half, two hours without it wanting to choke on all the mods I have.
things like this make me realize how little depth skyrim's plot and questlines had the only quest even remotely questionable was the one involving the red guard woman in whiterun, and even then, the implications were nill and the personal connection was so minor you didnt care either way oblivion lacked that same type of depth, but at least some of the side quests made up for it
While Skyrim in general had a lot of potential for depth, I feel like the Forsworn conflict in particular could have been really interesting but was not used to its full potential.
While Skyrim in general had a lot of potential for depth, I feel like the Forsworn conflict in particular could have been really interesting but was not used to its full potential.
Well I mean their hands were kinda tied, letting you alter something as huge as natives retaking a significant portion of an entire continent would probably make it hard to represent in the lore for the next game. "The dragonborn may or may not have helped the forsworn retake a massive region of skyrim, we can't tell. We couldn't be arsed to walk there." :v:
For those that wants to know about 'Take Notes!' Installed the alternative start mod this morning, choose wood elf with the woodland start. Decided to tag along with the Imperials since Ulfric fucking hates elves so yeah. Weapons of choice, destruction magic, two handed and longbowskullfuckery. Oh happy new year by the way!

Something weird happened. I just got out of the jail, there was some Gargoyle outside right in front of me when I got out. At the same time some Imperial Guards attacked the city, I moved back into the building and the Gargoyle and the Imperial Guards came with me.
"Meteor hits Skyrim, entire continent destroyed. Scholars found evidence leading to forsworn retaking the reach overnight, evidence remains scarce due to meteor striking after presumed time of Forsworn retake. Remains of mammoths have been found, no live sample. Dinosaurs extinct."
I was thinking something more like The Warp In The West: Part Deux. I mean, being Dragonborn, you ARE an aspect of the God of Time, so it wouldn't be impossible to believe that your nature as such would skew time just a teeny bit to make a situation where the Stormcloaks won and lost at the same time and the Forsworn somehow managed to retake their homelands in the meantime.
In those pictures, Floriana Australis and the latest vanilla Oblivion ENB
Jesus, now I really need to reinstall Oblivion, FCOM: Convergence and that stuff.
