So i realized that i have Dawnguard, but it's disabled.
I'm too scared to enable it, because if i do, my brother will ALWAYS play Skyrim on my PC.
Honoring the traditions of the Ebonheart Pact.

Does anyone know any secret voodoo magic I've missed out on to get OBSE working? I'm bootstrapping yet *another* Oblivion install from nothing, and I've piled hack upon hack - running every process involved as Administrator, enabling the in-game Community overlay, disabling both HDR and bloom - and I'm still not getting the "OBSE is loaded!" scrawl on the console.
Haha, my Dead is dead character died yesterday because of Frostfall. I learned the first few shouts from the greybeards and while I was chatting with Arngeir about my next quest I froze to death outside the monastery... so my next DiD playthrough is going to be without this mod.
So what are some good difficulty mods?
By difficulty I mean, you die quicker but so do enemies.
Also I don't have any of the dlcs so yeah.
So I fixed my Morrowind. I reinstalled it off Steam, then installed MSGO.
It said a metric crapton of meshes were missing when I loaded my save, so I did what a normal person would do, and clicked yes to all popups.
Maybe my next install I'll go vanilla, with widescreen and distant land, of course.
Speaking of Morrowind, has anyone heard of OpenMW, an open source port of Elder Scrolls III? It's coming along very well, and it abandoned Gamebryo/NetImmerse style movement, and has the movement code from Quake III.
I can't finish Morrowind, it feels way too clunky to me. I shouldn't have fiddled with my Speed, I can't go back to the snailman my character is. I also can't get over making my character smarter and better in Alchemy with Alchemy.
I use Tireless Running, and some mod that adds 50% to my hit to miss ratio, to make it a bit more like Oblivion.
I have a question. Does anyone know if you supposed to be able to kill children in Skyrim but it was removed in development? Because if you kill Braith, then Lars will come up to you and say "Thanks for killing Braith" and give you 50 septims. I'd assume that it was part of a mod but it's fully voiced and everything.

I've always found it funny how the kids react to adult stuff.
"Why are they hurting each other?"
"Now that you're here, you can kill the woman running the orphanage!"
"Thanks for killing Braith"
Yesterday, after I bought Firebolt speel, I decided to test it outside. As soon as my fingers let go of L1 and R1, a kid bugs me to turn him invisible.
Without spoiling it, let's just say I never laughed so hard at a dialog tree before. I'd expect to see something like that in Fallout.

[sp]I turned him "invisible" and he went to go chop some wood. Apparently, after living so long in a small mill settlement, kids have a different understanding from "fun" than what we do today.[/sp]
I got to that bit in the College's questline where the anomalies appear in town, and you have to go kill them all. Unfortunately, a random Master Vampire event occurred at the same time, so I had to fight a dozen Anomalies and half a dozen vampires. During all this ruckus, a courier ran through the fire and lightning and death to deliver a message with the Dark Brotherhood's sigil on it.
That is one hardcore mailman.
The couriers in Skyrim are fearless machines. Before, they used to go through snow and inside mountains in only their underwear to deliver the Dragonborn their message. Now, their clothing regulations have been changed and they are all fit with a uniform and a silly hat.
I can't be the only person that thinks the Unique Dragon priests mask mod looks absolutely retarded
I mean look at this shit

You realize this is the same site where a mod that makes tits so large they completely cover the character so that you can't even see them wield anything in their hands has over 100,000 downloads right?

Here's a nice simple one

I just tried to install animation/skeleton mods which had about a billion requirements. It felt like I just performed rocket science without any experience and I still don't know if my character is going to just T-pose or become a ball of broken limbs when I start the game.

generally, as long as your run FNIS after you install or uninstall any animation mods everything should be fine.

From LMAO pics.
you'd think that you wouldn't be able to shout with a full faced helmet... Or that if you were to attempt so you would either rip your own head off or smother your face in fire. Ulfric has a gag over his mouth to stop him, you can shout through pure ebony. At the very least wearing a dragon priest mask and using unrelenting force should make you kill the enemy with a high velocity metal face?

Oh... good thing I did that then! :v:

Perhaps. But what if Ulfric allowed himself to be caught? What if he chose not to shout? After all, he only used his Thu'um while fighting the king in a fair fight that both men consented to for control over the throne. He is an honorable man. Racist. But honorable.
Fucking awesome, love that someone is doing this

Ulfric himself even says that he basically murdered the king.
He shouted him to the ground them stabbed him in the heart with a sword.
It may as well have been this

Looks like a pretty solid mod

Wish people would make male counterparts though. I hate it when the genders become quality-lopsided
They've been quality lopsided in the modding community since Morrowind.
You can't be fucking with people's waifus.

Morrowind far less then the others though.
Morrowind far less then the others though.
Oblivion was fine too until late in that game's lifespan, when all the waifus/eastern europeans discovered elderscrolls and decided to take over it community wise
Why the heck do so many modders have such fragile egos
That ethereal elven overhaul chick did a bunch of other mods in a similar style but for human races, and now they've all vanished/been set to hidden.
"I’m taking a break from any kind of publicity with my mods for a while and my Nexus and SW files have been hidden. This is going to be temporary while I sort my stuff out and work myself into a better mood, and liberates me to focus on the doing instead of the managing."
What does that even mean? If you don't want to manage shit, don't. I don't visit my mod pages to reply to asshole comments.
