The Elder Scrolls Megathread XV: A Song of Ice and Draugr

After the nexus mod manager decided to be a fucking bastard and delete every single one of the mods I spent 3 and a half days or so finding, downloading, installing and fixing conflicts with, and considering several of the ones i liked seem to no longer be available, I find myself fucking done with playing skyrim for quite some time.
Anyone know of any good oblivion mods that are enjoyable?
I, and everyone else with a bad internet connection thank you profusely for posting that behemoth
Yeah, for a 22mb gif you may as well have just posted a video
A video with audio would probably be smaller yet
I was wondering why the hell mages were fucking my shit royally while on Solstheim
I forgot I had turned up the difficultly up to expert :suicide:

Step it up to legendary man
Well if you would pay attention, this mod fixes the vanilla one where you have to constantly sheave to switch or else it fucks everything up. So this removes most of the bugs that your .ini tweak creates.
Furthermore the dropping of a weapon is a feature that can be turned on or off in the MCM menu and also makes your argument pretty much amount to "I didn't give this mod any of my time because I assumed I already know everything about it".
edit - FURTHERMORE, the torches being lit even when dropped is separate from the weapon dropping option meaning, you get two decent fixes with one optional feature, so this is actually a pretty damn good mod.
am i wrong, though, or does it 'fix' the vanilla issue by forcing you to sheath your weapons each time? i.e. not really fixing it, but automating the keypress that prevents it?
that's what it was.
-fucking balls huge gif-
that should do it, now that it's in the public folder.
seriously though bro, please link that
I just experienced the strangest bug ever
I was up at the giant camp south west of the Western Watchtower testing out Equipping Overhaul. I made a guick save in case anything fucked up. The mod has been working fine so far, I have a dagger, a greatsword, a bow, and a longsword all visible on my character, with Thunderbolt being dual-wielded. I fire off some Thunderbolts, then switch to my greatsword, swing a couple times, then switch to my longsword.
Now, this is where things go wrong. I forgot to disable the dropping of your weapon, and my enchanted dragonbone greatsword flies out of my hand and is flung to the stratosphere by the giant I'm fighting. After killing the damn thing, I try my fucking hardest to find my greatsword, but it was dark and it was no where to be seen.
I quickloaded my save, and then went into third person (I was in first person at the time of save). I expected to see my badass, dragonbone weapon wielding Nord, but instead I saw my horse, a little ways back at Elysium Estate. I couldn't move or change my view, and the ground was using it's LOD model(single texture, stretched out). I quickloaded my game again, and this time I couldn't move my camera up or down. I could only move it left or right.
I figured that if I mounted my horse then got off again, everything would go back to normal. Boy was I wrong. I mounted and then dismounted my horse, but the camera stayed focused on my horse, while I was left running around blindly in the background. I could move my camera again, but my character wasn't following the movements.
I think I fucked something up.
EDIT: I just tried reloading an earlier save after relaunching the game. Everything was still fucked up. I'm uninstalling Equipping Overhaul to see if that was the problem

Well if you would take the time to actually watch the video or go to the page he states rather explicitly:
"This well known geared up setting can be used seamlessly and now there is a long wanted fix for all of its issues! Go ahead, swap your weapons while they are drawn!"
So yes, it is not a half assed fix as you keep assuming it to be, and you could've saved yourself and I some time by actually researching what you're blowing off.

first off, i'm not Generic.Monk, and chill
secondly, i had watched the video--he doesn't show that bugfix. in the first person segments, he demonstrates the weapon drop feature.
last of all though i don't know why you're upset. it's a discussion on an internet forum, and i was asking a question, not trying to prove a point with research to back it up

here, falcon, please at least use this

If Equpping Overhaul was the problem I'll just have to resort to a save where it wasn't installed. Good thing I didn't do much since installing it.
EDIT: I just loaded a save before I installed it. Everything works fine. I'll figure this shit out tomorrow.

Install Requiem too

I stand corrected then this is pretty awesome, though I was whining more about the armed to the teeth mod than this one.

too late now, someone's gone and quoted it. I'll link it out of courtesy so you don't suck up 44 meg every time you visit this page.
Also nearly done with my recorded playthrough of that mod. as it turns out, it's a tremendous lagfest due to particle spam and unoptimized bits and bobs. and I haven't even gotten to the final fight yet.

I am perfectly fine? I just don't like answering questions that can be found in the second paragraph of a mod linked on this very page.
It would be like me commenting on an article that describes fixing leaks with a question "Wait, does it fix the leaks or merely mask it?"
Morrowind Update: Seeks-The-Stink is the Nerevarine. That is all.

well, you don't have to answer any questions. i dunno, you just fiercely sided with the mod and chose to answer any questions with some hostility, and that seems unnecessary to me. like yeah, i guess i asked a dumb question but there was some legitimate confusion going on, after having read the description and watched the video (until i remembered each part of the mod was toggleable, i assumed the drawn-weapon-drop thing was on by default, which would imply the mod author hadn't fixed the bug at all but rather found a clumsy workaround, since you would need to sheath your weapon anyway or risk losing it)
i feel like i shouldn't need to explain all this because conversations here shouldn't focus on aggressively shutting down people when they make a mistake

But every character you play Morrowind with is the Nerevarine?

Except that is just how I type? Sorry if you somehow gleamed emotion off of black text on the internet? Either way it doesn't matter anymore.

use mod organizer instead, NMM is one of the worst pieces of software i have ever had the displeasure of using
Guys I need some feedback on a model for Skyrim. It's based off the zombie from Cyrodiil, for the Beyond Skyrim project. It feels as though it's lacking something before I texture it, any ideas? Post is here with a picture of it. Sorry for the link but I have no idea how to link the image onto here.

I want a mod that makes it so that difficulty settings make each enemy spawn spawn multiple enemies like in Serious Sam instead of just increasing their health
Someone do this

Fighting the Gauldrson who spawns clones of himself would be like fighting the Four Kings.

Eh, I wanted to avoid reuploading and just link to the image I already posted.

You have to sign up for that forum to view it, seriously doubt people are going to do that. It's better to just upload it to a non-forum host in the first place either way, that way all you have to do is post a link to send it to multiple people or forums instead of re-uploading it.

not gonna lie you do type like someone just trod on your dog
Why anyone would like playing in a dark as fuck world is beyond me
Pitch black dungeons are awesome because they actually require you to prepare for them.
But every character you play Morrowind with is the Nerevarine?
That was just my way of saying I beat the main quest, which is pretty important news if you have no life like me oh god why am I so alone???
... Also, it means I'm that much closer to my goal of playing through all five games in a row. I still need to do the expansions but still.
Novajam made a new video.

Featured on GEMS. File of the month November 2012.
..what.
Speaking of which, is there any really good follower mods? With good voice acting, quests (if there's any), normal looks (not a duckface with pornoarmor)?

You leave my dog out of this!!! >:c
The YouTube play button was partially covering up the 't' in Guilt Trip. For a second I hoped it said Guild Trip as some clever pun about all the fetch quests the guilds make you do.
