It's really fucking bad and somehow is a very popular mod. It was however one of the first big mods for Skyrim so I guess its age explains its pretty terrible quality.

Does anyone else crash when equipping Auriels Bow? Its really annoying, about 30-40% of the time I crash when I equip it.

do you guys think it was a coincidence that they wrote in the 4E 5 eruption of Red Mountain before reintroducing Solstheim as a DLC, subsequently half covered in ash and looking a lot more like Vvardenfell?

Plus the quest is crap

I was nostalgic for Solstheim, but it just wasn't the same. And it was smaller than I remembered. I still explored quite a bit, but it was mostly depressing seeing the landmarks I remembered either missing, drastically changed by the devs to the point of being barely recognizable, or destroyed by time and by eruption.

It is by far one of my most loathed mods.

I was especially annoyed by the fort. They didn't even try to make it look like the old one. They just shoehorned in new generic fort models that look nothing like the old fort, even though it's supposed to be the same structure that it was in Bloodmoon. At least, I don't recall reading anything about it being rebuilt (and the UESP lore article doesn't mention anything). Perhaps I'm forgetting something, though.

I assume Vilja was pretty good when it came out because it was a big showcase of what was possible with the CK (keep in mind it was made only a year after the game's initial release, so about 10 or 9 months after the release of the Creation Kit), even though it's too invasive for its own good and the voice acting kills it entirely.

And I hate them boooooooooth.

It's a UI mod so I'm not sure if it falls under the graphics category, but you need it, period. For the graphical mods, it mostly splits into two categories : there are the mods that change the post-processing and mods that change actual ingame models, textures and particles. On the former I'd recommend very simply IMAGINATOR (the original mod is fairly annoying to configure, but someone made a mod configuration menu addition that works with SkyUI and is really good) with ENB and any configuration you like (I recommend Cinemascope). With these two, you can shape the post-processing into absolutely whatever you like, changing major values with ENB and finetuning with Imaginator. I don't use much models/textures mods, so I'll just recommend [url=http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/8655/?]Static Mesh Improvement[/url] which improves most of the static models and [url=http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/141/?]Skyrim Flora Overhaul[/url] which does the same for vegetation.
