Is that not exactly what it is?
I mean, there's few descriptions of Skyrim that couldn't be boiled down to "fantasy adventure land"
I wouldn't even be able to play that for 5 minutes without having my eyes bleed. It's like you took the color portion of your display settings and maxed it out.
It's not that bad, let him play with it if he wants to atleast it's not boring, standard grey Skyrim

My monitor has issues with saturation, so I guess that makes sense.
It looks kinda saturated to me, but not so much that it puts me off.
At first I thought it was Oblivion with a monster mod.
Now I want my Skyrim to be more colorful.
The woes of a console peasant.
It reminds me of that one time when I injected crayon dust into my monitor to make it more colorful
You people talking about colorful?

this is what my testing settings look like, coc whiterun from the menu takes 5-8 seconds to load
are you running on a fucking playstation 2 or something?
are you running on a fucking playstation 2 or something?
Hey, whoa. Even the ps2 could handle Shadow of the Colossus and that looks 100x better than that screenshot.
what have you done
Reminds me of this
Now you guys made me wish Morrowind was on PS2, but I know it probably would of run like shit unless it was cut down to the point where it looked unrecognizable.

Skyrim load times + mod testing = very depressing

It looks like it's from the 64 bit era
Someone port Morrowind to the N64, now.

"8 bit" pisses me off more than it should
8 bit processor does not mean 8 bit graphics
Man, it took me two years, but I finally started playing skyrim. As with all Bethesda games, I did that thing where I play it for 9 hours on the first day, then 6-8 for the next 5. Now I've kinda shifted into normal patterns, I only play it for like an hour or two every couple of days, but the first week was the best. Like with oblivion, I had little interest in the story, so I've just been playing through all the dark brotherhood and thieves guild missions, as well as other junk.
I kinda wish I'd got it sooner, I've really been missing out.
Can I trust the list of mods and stuff on tesgeneral? Just want to be sure that I won't happen to install something crappy.
they recommend SMPC saying that it's good when it's actually really conflicty and bad, they dismiss Climates of Tamriel, Immersive Armors/Weapons without justification. Otherwise it's alright, they have a good comparison between the mod managers.

i don't mean to defend them, but Immersive Armors and Immersive Weapons add a load of shit along with the standard stuff. there are plenty of weapons and armors in the packs that are hardly 'immersive' at all, that belong nowhere near the Elder Scrolls games, as well as ones with terrible models and textures that just clash with everything
i recall a lot of Witcher 2 model ports that fail to fit properly onto skyrim's body models

Not just the body models, also the colours and general theme.
I love seeing guards walk around with "TEH BLADE OF DESTINY" or some shit.
Whenever I see the word "immersive" in a mod tittle I know I shouldn't get my hopes up.
Weapons of the third era aint bad though, just looks outdated.

It ran on the Xbox, who's to say it wouldn't run on the PS2?
70 hours on a character and I still haven't finished everything. at all.

I cannot recommend Crafting 300 enough. It's pretty much the only weapons mod I need.

I use Immersive Armors/Weapons, but my issue was that they just said "they suck" without giving a reason like you did. Same with Climates of Tamriel.
so i started a new character, an old nord guy who kills everything with his fists
i get out of helgen, punch a few wolves, and i come across this thief with his bow shooting at me
naturally i suplex the fuck out of him, and i look in his inventory
he was wearing the thieves guild master armor
so i pretty much killed the master of the thieves guild on my way to riverwood
badass

Meh reskins don't do it for me either, woop the same model in a different paintscheme.
They do look good though, okay I'll dl it
c:
I thought he was some E3 test NPC that some mod (accidentally?) reactivated. Hell if I can remember what mod it was though.
I want only the headbobbing from Immersive first person, but not the actual body... I like the sublte head movements when still or looking around, but want normal first person stuff.
Pretty sure that thief guy is from a mod, I remember him one shotting me down the road with his bow on my new characters.
For me he came together with an alpha wolf. He's pretty hard to deal with for a new character.
I wish I could play Skyrim for like 5 minutes without wanting to start over or change something
I'm literally level 2 right now and I feel like starting over again because I kind of want to play an Imperial rather than an Argonian
And then this is after I started over after I played to not even up to getting to the Greybeards
which, of course, played like "I'm gonna be a light armor warrior guy I mean mage I mean thief I mean mage I mean warrior"
bleugh
