What's with the damage system? Is it entirely fucked? I'm playing a wizard and getting 1-shot by... well, most enemies that end up hitting me. At best I'm two-shot, but 1 hit will deal 80-90% of my health. I've got cloth on (all of it), so with Ebonyflesh, my perks, and a magic scaling mod, I'm hitting roughly 400 armor. With armor capping out at 667 and 80% damage resistance, that should be giving me about 48% damage resist. So that means they're dealing upwards of 300 damage in one hit if my magic armor is actually working and protecting me. Sure, I'm squishy, but I don't think I should be THAT squishy? Or is my math completely fucked?
What difficulty? If legendary, don't get hit. If anything else, sounds like a bug.
Got so many mods installed finally. But I found it crashed a lot around riverwood, turned out it was lanterns of skyrim conflicting with expanded cities and towns. Pretty unfortunate. But it stopped crashing when I got rid of expanded cities. Wondering if I should choose the latter. Lanterns are pretty minimal.
I've got to say the lanterns are pretty underwhelming, I haven't gotten around to the torchbug lantern, but the actual lantern looks kinda ugly if you hold it and either sticks out weird on your front or clips into your outfit on the back. You're better off getting predator vision if you dont like using a torch, though I've really started to like them with mods like better torches and SPERG
Guys, what's the best ENB for Skyrim?
I don't really get the point of enb's
I don't really get the point of enb's
Thanks, I'll try that one!
Adds in things such as DOF and ambient occlusion to improve how the game looks, pretty obvious what their point is? The issue is that 75% of the people don't know how to use their settings properly or have such fucked up views of what looks "good" that we get these 100% bloom, filtered to fuck settings that give enbs a bad reputation.
It's tough being a frost mage in Skyrim.
I've got a shock mage character, it takes me like 20 minutes to kill a frost troll. Thankfully I've just got some robes and a mask that both increase magic regen by 100%. They do stack right?
I don't really get the point of enb's
the game's lighting/shaders are pretty fucking bad on their own, if you're alright with a massive performance drop and a piece of software made by an awful homophobe then there's no real reason not to use them [editline]16th January 2014[/editline] really though boris is just a straight up awful human being

I tried searching through the nexus and found nothing but exactly what you mentioned.

And bad graphics never really bother me anyways, unless they're like unbearably horrendous for their time.

He's not a bad person, he's just... simple. And likes maces. Let's just say his mother wasn't very careful and he hit the ground a bit too hard. He also hates chickens so he kills them all on sight. Gooby is also persuaded he can vibrate through solid matter, so he keeps throwing himself at walls until it works. It doesn't.
Reminds me of Radical Larry. Can anybody help me out with my NMM? I just did a fresh install of Skyrim, NMM and everything. In my NMM mod folder, all the mods are still there. How do I sort of like "reapply" them to my Skyrim?
Little update on Gooby : After he killed the local chicken, harassed Gerdur, stole some fish and got called an "absolute waste", Gooby has decided to make up for his misbehavior by going to Bleak Falls Barrow. On his way to the top, he fell down several times and hurt his head really badly. Gooby learned an important lesson today : always protect your head. [t]http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/451784893682518878/61099603B776D317C38C872EF369857503090370/[/t] Gooby is safe now.
Is there ANY point to Dragonrend once you get Bend Will fully unlocked?
Is there ANY point to Dragonrend once you get Bend Will fully unlocked?
Shorter recharge maybe? Not wanting to betray a dragon with dishonourable combat tactics?
Shorter recharge maybe? Not wanting to betray a dragon with dishonourable combat tactics?
Oh yeah, Bend Will has quite a hefty recharge. I'd never noticed because dragons tend not to spawn that quickly amung each other. I don't see how Dragonrend is any less cheap than Bend Will, though, since in both cases the dragon lands and becomes very easy to shoot to death with arrows or magic, completely avoiding it's attacks. It's just that with Bend Will, you get a few shots in before it retaliates.

Click "add mod from file" in the mods tab, go to your NMM mods folder, and add them back... one at a time. :v:

They do stack right?
They do. Every bit of equipment I have except arrows is enchanted to help me become an effective mage. My hood, gauntlets, and necklace increase my magicka, while my robes let it recharge faster. My boots make me stealth around better. My bow steals magicka from targets and because I have a lot of petty souls, it never runs out. It adds up to nearly 100+ extra magicka with a 75% boosted regen. Gonna use something better than a petty gem on my gauntlets to get even more magicka.
Umbra is nowhere to be found in Skyrim right ? I have yet to ever encounter an Umbra or the eponymous sword anywhere in the game.
Umbra is nowhere to be found in Skyrim right ? I have yet to ever encounter an Umbra or the eponymous sword anywhere in the game.
I think Umbra was a major part of those two elder scrolls books that I didn't actually read. Something happened there that made it so that Umbra doesn't return in Skyrim.
Stalhrim armour looks lame in Dragonborn compared to how it looked in Bloodmoon.
Shame, Umbra is such a cool concept.
Stalhrim armour looks lame in Dragonborn compared to how it looked in Bloodmoon.
I'm fine with how Stalhrim armor looks, but the helmets look so shitty.

Skyrim just crashed upon loading my game oh no [editline]16th January 2014[/editline] that's it I think my character might just be lost I can't open my save game without it crashing on me I'll try to load a save before I had Equipping Overhaul installed, but if that doesn't work I'll test on a new character I really don't want to lose this one

I have upwards of 500 health, and capped armor and I very rarely by unique npcs got one hit on master difficulty which is a scary amount of damage :v:
PRAISE THE LORD I managed to load a save game while I was still in Solstheim I have a sinking feeling that it might crash upon returning to Skyrim though [editline]16th January 2014[/editline] I'm such a fucking moron. Passive Weapon Recharging must be the thing that is fucking with Equipping Overhaul. It even says on the fucking page that it isn't compatible with Equipping Overhaul. I don't even need it, all of my items have infinite charge anyways. Shit.:suicide:
I just use ENB for ENBoost, FPS counter and Parallax mapping.
[img_thumb]http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120327000216/elderscrolls/images/6/68/DaedricHelmet_OB.png[/img_thumb] Still in my opinion the ugliest helmet ever made
