Oblivion update: After going through the tutorial, I did pretty much all of the sidequests in the Imperial City as well as the Arena sidequest. After all that I'm already at level 10, with an elven longsword, an almost complete set of Mithril armor (minus the shield), and... a steel bow. I need to upgrade my bow so I can go back to stealth one-shotting everyone when I explore dungeons. Funny thing about Oblivion, bandits will always have OP equipment on them, unless you're actually looking for said weapons. Then, mysteriously, they will simply have just iron or steel. At least, that's how it is whenever I play Oblivion.

god fucking damnit the past week i've been working on completing every one of my open quests, to have a clean, empty journal, but i've got o Kill Challenger stuck in there. the guy approached me over a week ago and i think i brushed him off, so the guards killed him, but the quest is bugged and now i can't get rid of it with any console commands or anything. using the "Show on Map" feature kept pointing me to a spot in Whiterun, indicating he's still alive, but i couldn't find him and then that stopped working. my quest log is completely empty except for this one stupid miscellaneous quest that i can't complete. i tried it already, thanks, but the Wizard Duel quest isn't included in the list of quests to erase
Not sure if it's been asked by anyone else already and I know I agreed to "things" but in general: "Did anyone play EOS beta? Liked or Not?" don't go into details much.
it's rather annoying you can't post pictures My friend broke the TOS and shared me a pic. Holy shit, watermarks everywhere
Yeah, fair though, seems to work pretty well in most cases.
i tried it already, thanks, but the Wizard Duel quest isn't included in the list of quests to erase
Oh :(
I still don't remember how I ended up with a nude Frost Troll mod I was walking around and suddenly a Frost Troll with a HUGE jiggledbone dick is running full speed at me Like seriously, when the fuck did I download this
I have a feeling that this will make Vvardenfell feel really out of place.
What do you mean?
Not sure if it's been asked by anyone else already and I know I agreed to "things" but in general: "Did anyone play EOS beta? Liked or Not?" don't go into details much.
I liked some things, and disliked others. Naturally it loses a lot of the feel of a TES game when NPCs are rather more permanent and only go away/stay if you do a quest but it's kinda necessary to be an MMO. It starts off way too easy, but the difficulty ramps up when you do instances with people who have no idea what they're doing :v:. The crafting systems are pretty good, more variety than in a normal TES game but materials can be annoying to find for a specific type of crafting, you usually run into an equal amount of all the types unless you really know where to look. Content is pretty quick to burn through but I have no idea how much more is done and just wasn't available for the stress test. The serious content isn't written so well but some of the humour is pretty gold. Combat is pretty good for an MMO but needs some fine tuning still Basically it was pretty fun and about as close to TES as they could get while still being an open-world MMO but it could really use some balancing, some more content, and some bug fixes.
What do you mean?
I mean in terms of quality.

[editline]18th January 2014[/editline] Assuming you find his body, that is. If it despawned, you're shit out of luck.
I mean in terms of quality.
Bear in mind that it's an alpha release and if you've actually downloaded it it's pretty rough around the edges. The new release has sporadic NPC placement, few quests and no dynamic grass as of yet. It still needs polish and patches, which typically follow within a month or so. That being said, Tamriel Rebuilt amounts to so much more than it seems on paper. The released landmass thus far totally dwarfs Skyrim in size and variety. You can sink a weekend just sightseeing. It's also a great starting point for cross-game roleplaying and immersion, like Daggerfall.
i tried it already, thanks, but the Wizard Duel quest isn't included in the list of quests to erase
Have you tried placing the wizard duelist near you with player.placeatme ? It may solve the issue.

I don't understand the whole Vivec, CHIM, and Fargoth thing. Please Explain like I'm five
I don't understand the whole Vivec, CHIM, and Fargoth thing. Please Explain like I'm five
all of tamriel is actually the dream of the aedra or something like that, people can be told this but not understand it because it doesn't really make sense to this. Vivec managed to understood this and used it to do a sort-of lucid dreaming thing that gave him godly powers, known as CHIM.
all of tamriel is actually the dream of the aedra or something like that, people can be told this but not understand it because it doesn't really make sense to this.
In the lore, CHIM is essentially the concept of reshaping reality. It's an idea that surpasses the abilities of most living beings on Nirn but there is a select few who somehow managed to understand its full implication and from this understanding became godlike beings. If you know and comprehend CHIM, then you can do whatever the hell you want within and outside of the boundaries of reality. See how Vivec has godly powers, how Tiber Septim became Talos and changed Cyrodiil's climate entirely, etc. On a more meta side, it's essentially a fourth-wall breaking inside joke about the inconsistency of fiction and the concept of retconning in the same vein as how some visual glitches like the spiked waters in Redguard are considered canon.
CHIM is sv_cheats 1
CHIM is sv_cheats 1
This sums it up.
my least favorite thing about having a follower is if he is melee you tend to accidentally hit him too much I wanna be a mage with a warrior protecting me, but I end up using fire too much on him :V I might end up just having a follower who uses bows.
I just had a theory: What if Nirn was a joke? Like Lorkhan (or whatever it was called) was just joking and Nirn was a concept of all the divines' imagination because they believed in it and they ended up killing him before he could explain it was a joke. That way Nirn was formed and stayed forever, sort of like how the Christian/Jewish/Muslim god is still "existing" in people's minds today, despite being developed from ancient stories written in an old book that the romans fucked up translating. At least that would explain CHIM very well.
Disregard CHIM, live with the Skaal.
I feel like I should have bought the dlc when it was on sale. Is the DLC good? Or should I not worry too much about not owning it. The house building one seems unneeded, but rather cool. I'm sure there's a mod that does the same thing, I swear there was one for oblivion.
