While I do find the new systems and massive compatibility good, I just hate how immersive weapons and immersive armor keeps monopolizing everything. I know I now can turn shit off if I don't want it to appear in-game, but that still doesn't change the fact that I have to download ~1 gigabyte of crap or that other mod authors simply abandon their projects because uncle hothtrooper takes care of them. What I don't get is why he couldn't just make a framework, then have his armor mods and let everyone make patches for their armor mods. It just seems a bit backwards to me. Also, if he is making this huge generalized pack, why haven't he thought about people using body mods? It looks like he made a patch for UNP (not UNPB, though) and then said "fuck you make your own CBBE patch", even though making patches for CBBE is really easy, as far as I've heard. I may want that pack just because of the shields, but fuck downloading 1GB of armors. Instead I may start using Omegared's new pack, because it isn't a clusterfuck of different shit and actually support different body mods, like a proper giant armor mod should!
In my experience, it's much easier to manage one mod rather than 100. Those Omegared armors look superb.
In Morrowind I keep getting "You cannot delete this item from the magic menu" whenever I try to select a spell, how can I stop this?
Hurp durp, I never even thought to search "jewelry" because I was mostly concerned with circlets. :downs: Thanks a bunch!
I think this is what you're looking for http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49791/? Also the complete crafting overhaul remade already contains this and adds it to loot and npcs http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49791/?
Holy shit new version of Immersive Armors
I've used these big community compendium mods for a long time, in every Bethesda game I've played. The option to disable and remove stuff you don't like is amazing. Hopefully Immersive weapons gets something similar.
http://enbseries.enbdev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2729 I'm going to try this out tonight. TL:DR Guy finds a method of telling SKSE to make a larger initial memory buffer when skyrim stars to avoid so much swapping which can cause CTD's. People are playing on Ugrids 19 without crashing.
404 :( EDIT: http://enbdev.com/ctdfix.html alt link
snip
Also they cite Altimor's mod as the solution to running the higher ugrids in addition to this ENB fix :v: altimor you are famuoos
I kinda wish Bethesda RPGs had an alternative to lockpicking, like smashing it open or magicking it open (or blowing it open with explosives in Fallout) or some shit
SPERG adds an additional perk to the lockpicking tree that lets you bash locks. Spells of the Third Era adds spells from Morrowind and Oblivion, including spells to open lockpicks.
How the hell do I install ENB for Skyrim? I don't even know what to download.
Download your favourite config. Then download the ENB binary off the main site. Drop both into your skyrim folder. [editline]19th January 2014[/editline]
After reinstalling Skyrim I suddenly remembered how blocky the shadows are (especially self shadows). Anyone got some good settings/mods/tweaks/whatever for prettier shadows?
I use 7000 distance with 8192 shadow res, 2deffered blur and then use ENB detailed shadows to smooth them out. I don't fully understand the primary and secondary options though. [editline]19th January 2014[/editline]
404 :( EDIT: http://enbdev.com/ctdfix.html alt link
Looks like this fix took so much bandwidth he took it down.
I kinda wish Bethesda RPGs had an alternative to lockpicking, like smashing it open or magicking it open (or blowing it open with explosives in Fallout) or some shit
They used to have that in the previous games. Arena and Daggerfall gave you the option to smash locks open with your weapon, and Morrowind and Oblivion had "Open Lock" spells. I think it's only Skyrim and the Fallout games that had neither of those options.
ELFX/COT/ENB makes dungeon running so creepy. Keep getting nibbled by skeevers.

Don't you insult my UNP with my 8k "mature" body texture.
Skyrim: Waifu dress-up simulator. I seriously don't get these people, do they actually engage in quests or do they spend all their ingame time looking at their characters asses in 3rd person? Ugh, Skyrim is almost like a virtual Deviantart sometimes.. if it wasn't for Second life already taking that spot.
Omegared's new pack!
Ooooh that Windhelm Steel armor is nice I'm gonna keep an eye on this.

TweakGuide says you can have a custom resolution in Oblivion but when I try it crashes right after I press "Play"

some real immersive stats going around in the lefthand corner.
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/22950/?
Shame I can't install mods to my xbox, eh? oh don't judge me, this computer isn't exactly optimal for gaming
Someone should totally give me $1000 for a new computer
I just need something better than a GTX 460.
Isn't there some in-universe explanation for the worlds being smaller in-game than in the lore? Something about the player character being a CHIM-aware personification of the person behind the screen, and the gameworld being what we see through that window. Sort of like how the sun and stars in-game are portals to Aetheris, or how the planets are our interpretation of the planes of Oblivion.
The irony of people who are using perverse "body mods" wanting support from a mod with "Immersive" in its name is quite laughable.
I'm glad he didn't include a patch for SkyRE, because SkyRE sucks! I'm not saying he should include it because my waifu character with anime hair would benefit from it, I'm saying he should include it because it would make his mod available for people using those mods because they find those mods "immersive". What is immersive and what is not immersive is a subjective opinion, the users who download the mod decides this, not you or some unwritten rules.

Man, people in Skyrim do not give a shit about a storm mage throwing lightning bolts about so long as it doesn't physically hurt anyone...

But that does not mean I can't judge what I find ironic or not. And your point "I'm glad he didn't include a patch for SkyRE, because SkyRE sucks!" is silly: There's a big difference between not wanting to support a group of mods focused on oversized asses and boobs, and refusing to support a decent overhaul mod. Not everyone has values like a 12 year old horny child. It would be completely fine not wanting to support something that certain groups of people might actually find degrading. To some it might just be uncomfortable to work with that kind of stuff anyway. With SkyRe, however, you're unlikely to come across similar problems. Why compare these two?
With SkyRe, however, you're unlikely to come across similar problems. Why compare these two?
Maybe he's a 12 year old horny kid? Man I wish I had boob mods when I was a 12 year old horny kid. That would be awesome.
Man, people in Skyrim do not give a shit about a storm mage throwing lightning bolts about so long as it doesn't physically hurt anyone...
Dude's throwing lightning everywhere, stop him at your own peril

Why compare these two?
All I want is for him to include compatibility for as many mods as possible so his mod is available to most people as possible, even if this includes people installing butt mods. If you for example made a condom company and find out your condoms are being used by child rapists, would you stop selling smaller condoms? People who install body mods may not always be the kind of people who spend half an hour studying their character's ass, some of them install them for the same reason they install something like this; because they think it looks "immersive". Just like how you think it looks immersive to make armor out of Alduin's scales or walk around with Scottish armor.
