The irony of people who are using perverse "body mods" wanting support from a mod with "Immersive" in its name is quite laughable.
Of all the things to complain about, something that's not even lore unfriendly? I mean I'm pretty sure the dragonborn's measurements aren't going to be written into the history books. I swear some people here are so anal about mods :v:
So, serious talk here, what mods should I install for a second playthrough of Skyrim?
I've already got ENB running my own config (some bloom, AO, that sort of thing), although I'd like a config that makes the game look... I don't know, better, but not gaudy?
I'm also looking for whatever gameplay mods you guys recommend. Is SkyRE any good?

Some mods I'm running that I'm liking:
alternate start
some kind of a mod to re-balance destruction, it's total garbage in vanilla
pit fighter faction, adds an arena faction to windhelm which is pretty neat
SKSE/skyUI
Tribunal robes
Weapons the third era
Remove enchanting restrictions (can put any enchantments on any piece of gear, no other changes)
TBH that's most of the mods I'm running, I usually run mods pretty light. Worth noting that I've had maybe 1 or 2 CTDs ever so these mods are all pretty bug free

I never talked about lore unfriendliness. I hate that term with a passion.
Did you miss the point completely? I install tons of mods that have nothing to do with the actual lore of The Elder Scrolls, actually, the mask mod DrasarSalman linked I have used earlier. I am just trying to explain to him that there are plenty of valid reasons not to support certain mods.
I agree Immersion is a completely subjective thing, I have never said otherwise.
But someone shouldn't be obliged to support mods like that, because of the implications I have mentioned already.
It's also completely fine to have the personal opinion that someone, who feels immersed by seeing ridiculously large asses all around him, is disgusting.
Or just claim that their idea of immersion is deeply disturbing.
Werewolf overhaul with new animations? Maybe it'll be go-

The only reason I've heard is because you generalize anyone who install bodymods as creeps and that sounds like a subjective thing to me.

It's also fine to have the opinion that those mods may look OK and they would be fine to have in your game, but that, again is just a subjective opinion that shouldn't nobody should hate or absolutely boycott.
Just to quote the bible: "[...] forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." (Luke 23:32)
What are among the better Player Home mods?
Home-made player home mods in my opinion, but if you don't want to learn how shitty the creation kit is, I'd recommend the build your own house mod.
I tried making my own, but I'm not too great with the CK...

Also, suggestions for a new character? I wanna play this game again. My first character was a Dunmer Spellblade, RPed as a refugee from Morrowind. My second was a Breton warrior/archer dude, RPed a bit like a vampire slayer or beast slayer (for when Dawguard came out). And an Ork barbarian RPed as a treasure hunter.
Granted when I say RP, I just mean a backstory in my head, that's kind of it :v:
Thinking a mage of some kind. Maybe a witch sort of character? Or maybe a straight thief?

Elysium Estate has got to be the best house mod I've ever used. Everything inside is static, and it looks fantastic. It has unique storage displays for Elder Scrolls, Black Books, Daedric Artifacts, unique artifacts like the Helm of Yngol, and even the unique items found through the Thieves Guild quests. It's got tons of weapon racks, mannequins, bookshelves, and full crafting stations in the basement.
I should probably not explain it and just give you the link instead

I'd recommend playing an assassin/thief if you want to RP. The amount of preparation made for a insta-kill with daggers gives a lot of room for immersion.

Skimpy clothing with mittens, Nexus lycantrophy in a nutshell. Damn, we need a site where we can categorize the Nexus atrocities.
some real immersive stats going around in the lefthand corner.
I'm running the skyrim monitor since I was doing lots of CTD and memory configurations.
I just need something better than a GTX 460.
Me, too. Well, something better than a HD 4650 in my case. Just have to bide my time. There's an R9 270 in my future. But it's hard to be patient.

Actually, I think that mod is from loverslab.

The only reason why I can run shit like Metro Last Light is because I am still using a 1440x900 resolution :v:

It's been up for a while, we call it the Nexus.

Hey look at it this way, it's better than my Radeon 4200 by like 1000x
I couldn't run Metro Last Light on the lowest setting possible and the smallest resolution possible with anything more than maybe 10 FPS.
Battlemage type playstyle?
[t]http://i.cubeupload.com/7ZD8SJ.png[/t]
y/n?
Battlemage is fun. I use a mod that goes well with alt start and gives you oblivion style classes at the start. I got a pretty good custom battlemage thing going.
I find Battlemage terrible, all you ever use is 1-2 destruction spells and fast healing. No real reason to use anything else.

but its fun

top one is the first piece of concept art drawn for Morrowind
I can't seem to make it to level 30 with a character before getting bored with them. Time to start a new one. I usually try to come up with some idea of play style and back story before I start, but I think maybe this time I'll set Live Another Life to random and base a character on whatever it throws at me.

This reminds me of the fact that my Skyrim is a picky little shit that has FPS issues, even with settings cranked down pretty low and a mod that noticeably ups the performance but still falls short. I'm considering getting one of those intentional shit-graphics mods, both for the change in looks and the FPS boost.
Years and years of having sub-par computers for playing games on have pretty much indoctrinated me into loving blocky, weird and "shitty" graphics, so I could honestly happily deal with Skyrim looking like it came out on N64/PS1. Hell, it might even spice things up a bit, since I keep getting bored partway through playing as a character and stop entirely.
Mind you, I'd practically cut off a leg in exchange for a top-of-the-line gaming PC, but the chances that I'd get to even touch one of those are about as slim as me going into space.
Is there any mod that fixes the fucking roll animation so it doesn't look like it was made by a first time animator that was drunk?
