All of your faggots have terrible race preferences. Bosmer masterrace.
Anybody else use Alternate Start - Live Another Life? My version was a bit out of date and I got the bug where you get dumped back into the prison cell with Hadvar and Ralof watching as Tullius and Ulfric start wailing on each other. It was hilarious!
I used to use it until someone mentioned random start. You create your character, your gear type and it drops you in a random location in skyrim. I love it.
The Skaal are my favourite people.
The Skaal are my favourite people.
Really? I have to make an effort to remember who they are everytime I see the name.
Really? I have to make an effort to remember who they are everytime I see the name.
They're just in the corner of the world doing their own thing causing no harm to anyone, and I respect that.
They're just in the corner of the world doing their own thing causing no harm to anyone, and I respect that.
Sounds like they're just being pussies, Imperials for life yo.
Werebears are where it's at, yo. Okay, they're not technically a race, but still.

have some C0DA or Prelude preview
PAGE 5 PIC 1: We’re looking upwards as the ceiling to the corridor smashes open, stone debris falling towards the refugees and the guards in a star of smoke. SFX: DUUMM! INDORIL SOLDIER: GET DOWN! PIC 2: The smoke fades into open sky, jagged at the edges with broken stone. The gigantic form of Numidium looks down at all of us, death-by-erasure in its eyes. PAGE 6 PIC 1: As Page 4, inside the Wonderweir corridor, figures dark in the rising dust and the shadow of Numidium above. Cracked stone debris is everywhere. Steam shoots dust-swirls into the scene from busted brass pipes. INDORIL SOLDIER: Indoril S-selmeth koff to Wonderweir Actual: launch. We c-cannot-- PIC 2: As Pic 1, but sunlight bursts through. The Indoril Soldier is being helped up by a few refugees now. A booming voice comes from the other side of the breach above them. NEREVARINE (O.C.): BELAY THAT, ACTUAL. WAIT FOR EVERYONE. I’LL TAKE THE NUMIDIUM. PIC 3: All present look to the source of the voice. KHAJIIT: There are two of them now?!? REFUGEE 1: The Sharmat? Akula-- REFUGEE 2: No, the Nerevarine! INDORIL SOLDIER: HORTATOR.
It's either a preview of "The last Morrowind story" (C0DA) or preview of another Prelude. Sometime around 9th Era or so. It's Kirkbride, I ain't gotta explain shit. [editline]21st January 2014[/editline] It's like Tengen Toppa Gurren Lorkhan or something, except instead of robots it's brass god machine things duking it out.

All his stuff since the release of Morrowind has been glorified fanfiction. I can sort of understand defering to him in regards to the stuff that he had a major part in, like the Tribunal, but all this 9th Era shit...
That could be one of the reasons Kirkbride left. He thinks of a lot of crazy shit and Bethesda had to tame that shit down for morrowind.

I won't take any of it as canon until Bethesda uses it in a game/book, but I enjoy reading how one of the original writers thinks the story should go.
That could be one of the reasons Kirkbride left. He thinks of a lot of crazy shit and Bethesda had to tame that shit down for morrowind.
That's how a lot of development works. Think up crazy shit, rein it in a bit, sprinkle in some more crazy. If you toss in every crazy idea you have, you get an incoherent mess. The trick is to not toss out too much of the crazy and end up with something bland. IMHO, they nailed it with Morrowind's story. It was dark and mysterious, bit of Eldritch, but you could follow it. Each interpretation of the events leading up to it was plausible, considering it's taking place in a world where dead creator gods have body parts laying around waiting to be harnessed for their power. The everyday citizens coming up to you at night, sleepwalking, with Dagoth Ur speaking to you through them added a sense of dread and urgency to it. He was literally taking over the minds of people around you. Oblivion, on the other hand, could have used more crazy shit. The cultists that attack you were already members of the cult, not people who'd been psychically mind-fucked. Even the Oblivion gates opening up everywhere didn't make it feel that urgent. Especially when there's just a couple scamps or a flame atronarch walking around it. If I closed them it's either because I wanted the sigil stone, or because I was annoyed that the damned thing had fucked up my pretty blue sky and turned it orange, and it wouldn't go back to blue even if I was miles away. I'm pretty sure it's possible to go the other direction, though, and put in too much crazy shit so that the game ends up being equally uninteresting. I just don't have an example at the tip of my brain.

Fighting off a horde of gimps wielding giant dildos loses the crazy edge when everyone treats that as the norm. I think if the psychic mindfucking had been established as just a thing people do in Morrowind, Dagoth Ur controlling people would have been significantly less weird and creepy.

I love reading the 9th era stuff, it's like a ridiculous sci-fi B-movie stuffed in the TES universe. Especially the Boma Kuru thing was quite awesome.
B-Movie? You're being generous.
ENB is mysterious. I think I already posted this. I thought I would use it, but even with no effects turned on it still cuts my FPS down by like 60%. So even if I were to only use detailed shadows, and basic AO, my FPS tanks so quickly. So I've decided to not use an ENB, but I'm still interested in maybe a SweetFX injector. Anyone have any suggestions?
I wonder what ever became of Caius Cosades.
I wonder what ever became of Caius Cosades.
He was forgotten in the ages like all agents of the blades have. He's a secret agent, no reason for him to be remembered. Same goes for Baurus. If I had any more skill as a modder I would totally just do a little set of quests to find more about the blades agents from Morrowind and Oblivion, and find stuff like Caius Cosades' clothes which were quite good items in Morrowind, and Baurus' helm or something
