The Elder Scrolls Megathread XV: A Song of Ice and Draugr

I've personally never liked Kirkbride.
Also, the one time I've actually wanted a giltch to happen and it doesn't. I want to skip the market assassination in Markarth so I'm not actively ignoring the Forsworn questline/avoiding going near the abandoned house which makes the city my second hated and worst to go about.
Ok so the last time i asked this people told me to play the game vanilla first so i could enjoy mods.
There, i did it, played a little, now give me that god damn improved faces mod for oblivion i can't stand this shit
I really don't feel like looking for the right one in the nexus...
There should be like guidelines for how mod makers title and organize their mods on the site. The nexus can be a nightmare for someone looking for a particular item or mod because someone maybe puts a abbreviation before the actual name or it has some stupid like phrase for a name. Like Better Fast Travel. Then suddenly I'm only seeing BFT mentioned and I have no idea what that fucking means.
Not to mention some sort of like categorized description for listing incompatibilities, requirements, installing. If it can be done via NMM or other stuff. Because sometimes I have mods which the description is like,
"i made this mod because i didn't like how people looked.
drop it in data
you'll need skyrim (duh lol) and a videocard."
Like just NO
Just got a GTX780 and fuck me skyrim looks gorgeous!! Time for another play through I think :)
About that...
Wow, the faces in 2.0 look a lot more fitting for the game
The old one was good but still kinda looked off, like you could see the leftover potatoes in them, but this one looks like it wasn't even done in oblivion

Maybe I should play oblivion again now that I don't have to spend an hour in the face creator to get something that loosely resembles a human male
EDIT:

[sp]not to imply I didn't expect that[/sp]
The faces are good now. Now to do something about those voices, eh...?
Okay, after reading through Kirkbride's stuff over on c0da.es, I've come to the realization that it's basically unfiltered, unadulterated ES lore which only MK fully understands. I guess that's why none of it is ever implemented verbatim.
Doesn't make it any less relevant, since MK still works very closely with the creative teams (he was incredibly influential in Skyrim, starting with the White-Gold Concordat), but it's a sort of concentrated lore that needs parsing before it ends up in a game.
All the spacey stuff, all the 9th era stuff, the robots, the gods, CHIM, it's all just conceptual. None of it represents anything actually in-universe, but they take that and break it down into manageable lore. Direnni Tower as a spaceship, for instance, probably doesn't literally mean Direnni Tower is a spaceship. The "Dream of the Godhead" probably doesn't mean there's literally a god that is literally sleeping and dreaming up Mundus. Pelinal and KINMUNE/Ayrenn probably aren't literally robots, but more beings created to fulfill a certain task.
Maybe I've just read too much into it. ES lore doesn't make much sense anyway, thinking it over probably doesn't help that.
Go with the Skaal interpretation.
I feel bad for wasting thread space

here's an old video (2009) of me playing with that thief mod in oblivion
Shit that's what I get for having 8 different thread tabs open
Does anyone know if ESO will have an open beta or will it just be the closed beta?
The overhaul mod works wonders-everyone should try it.
Since when do NPCs fight over shitty armor you dropped? in the 400+ hours I played, I never saw that.
i dropped a pair of boots once and a group of stormcloaks all fought over it, the commander won
"who left this here"
"its mine"
"not if i get to it first"
"you'll have to fight me for it"
"ok then"

true nords eh?
Congratulations, you just figured out how to topple stormcloak army.
I'm pretty sure the stormcloak army could be defeated by sneaking into most of the general's quarters then painting their faces and sticking ear extensions on :v:
I would really like to keep usingthe ENB SKSE fix but I lose my cursor every time I exit Skyrim now. :/

He wouldn't stay in Elsweyr long enough for a tan, he'd just go to pick up some new rugs :v:
Tonight, on "Trying to Download Skyrim Mods"

As you see, I got ENB to work. I am loving it. It really brings out the colors.
Turn off in-game and GPU Control Panel AA. ENB doesn't play nice when AA is enabled.

Pretty sure he wouldn't return from Elseweyr. Say what you will about Khajiit, but they have fireball spitting house cats that will fuck your shit up.

Radiant AI at its finest!
Oblivion Update: So far I've finished the Arena, most if not all of the miscellaneous quests (cities, towns, settlements, and so on), and the Fighter's Guild. For some reason, fighting the Blackwood guys in the final FG quest got the attention of the Dark Brotherhood, so when I went to sleep to level up (level 23! I already have a full suit of Glass Armor and a Daedric Sword and Bow and some arrows), good ol' Lucien Lachance contacted me. Despite the tempting offer, I'm going to join the Mages Guild next time I play and go through their quests. I still find it funny that it's possible to go through the Mages Guild questline without using a lick of magic and still become archmage. And by funny I mean bullshit. But alas, the completionist in me compels me to do their quests.

Question is, is this compatible in any way with mods like open landscapes and better cities that put more NPCs in or are they all going to be potato faces?

Unless either of those mods edit the base race itself, which they really shouldn't be based on what those mods are, there should be no issues.
Wait, are you telling me even custom NPCs are covered by this? Across the board no more shitty NPCs?
Because if so holy shit this is a must have
Oof, does anyone know how to get SoS working again after you uninstalled it? I've pretty much tried all I can think of. The command doesn't work, starting a new game won't bring it back, and I've replaced all the files several times, I even uninstalled all my mods but I can't get it's dialogue box to come back.
