So, after playing skyrim for 200 hours, and then realizing that Oblivion (how I remember it) had much more content (am I wrong?), I'm going to /actually play/ Oblivion for the first time (the first time I played it I was young and I thought it was a linear game I don't know I just did the main quest and quit)
So I need some essential mods. I have a pretty nice computer, so I'm down with graphical enhancements. I know of OCO, but what else must I download to just objectively improve the game?
If you're planning on using lots of mods, get the script extender and OBMM, maybe Wrye bash if you're going nuts on the mods.
A complete overhaul might be in order because the default leveling system sucks. Francesco's is a good one, it doesn't change too much and doesn't make the game any more difficult. It also has the option of adding extra items.
Oblivion xp is good if you want to get rid of the retarded leveling system as well.
Get All Natural for a cooler outside world and weather.
Supreme Magicka makes magic a lot more dangerous and viable to play as a mage, and makes mage enemies deadlier instead of just light armour waiting to get sliced up.
Armamentarium\Realswords\Bob's Armory and Classy Clothing Compendium all add new Weapons, armour and clothing that are distributed through the level lists, so they can be seen in appropriate shops, on NPCs and in random loot stashes at appropriate levels.
Qarl's Texture Pack gives hi-res textures of, well, most stuff.
You can get Deadly Reflex to make combat a lot more engaging, but it changes a lot so you might want to play vanilla oblivion a bit before you start with this.
Deadly Reflex is extremely fun. But you'll likely go nutters before you figure out how to bind and use everything properly.

The best part is using blunt weapons to literally make enemies' heads explode into giblets.
Ah, the fun I've had!

That awkward moment in the opening boss encounter they have a squishy rogue tanking and he dies at the end :v:
[sp]Although any class in ESO can wear heavy armor and become pretty tanky, dragon knights are the best ones since they have amazing tank abilities to go with their heavy armor. Templars are also top tier tanks because their heals which are often AOE make up for their lack of tanking skills[/sp]
[editline]wait[/editline]
Hold on a second, that's a templar tanking but he's using a 2h weapon and that doesn't look like any heavy armor I've seen... that's almost more confusing
Then you didn't take the time to look at it, because there is a specific setting in the MCM menu that tells you to increase it's number if you see flickering. So your problem could've been immediately solved (assuming your computer could handle the higher settings) if you had taken the time. But I mean personally I don't use it because it makes me want to throw up and while it is cool, gameplay wise it does no favors for Skyrim.
Shame I already know that and the setting did nothing for me. If I turned it way down it made it extremely bad but even all the way up there was still bad z-fighting.
The only thing that worked was to totally uninstall the mod.

Way of the monk
It may have been a bug with Dawnguard.
You can try selecting he with the console and checking her ID. IIRC, the first two numbers are the mod's position in the load order.
It sounds like a generated mob, so unless they're just using a built in ref over and voer for some reason or they changed the rules on reference IDs, it might have a load index of "ff" (your save game).
I think SKSE has a "getbaseobject" that will work in that case though.

I liked sneaking around and murdering sleeping people. The animation where your character looms over them and stabs them several times is pretty fucking brutal.

SkyRe has a bunch of very interesting perks for Unarmed.

That shield stealing one is neat but I wish you could throw it back at them. :v:
Kinda wish there was a way to have it so where an arrow lands, it spawns the aoe flame effect you get with an oil trap.
Updated RLO, also put up a test file with whiterun interiors redone.

I think the alchemy tree in SkyRe lets you craft oil arrows like that
So today I discovered that using the console, you can add NPC abilities to yourself, which also come with unique effects that attach themselves to you.

A lot of them are pretty kick ass.

Problem with Skyre is I think some of the mods I have installed wouldn't be compatible with it. That and i'm already at the limit of how many mods I can have installed.

Hey I'm not the only one who uses Duelist Longcoat! It's a shame that it has texture issues sometimes

Limit on how many mods you can install?

You can make SkyRe compatible with a surprising amount of stuff with ReProccer and a Bashed patch.
Hey I'm not the only one who uses Duelist Longcoat! It's a shame that it has texture issues sometimes
Yeah, I figured it'd be a suitable replacement for the Dragonbone Ebonsteel armor I wore everywhere. Didn't seem right wearing such bulky armor ever since I'd started running around becoming a super mage.
Fortunately that texture issue isn't doesn't come about constantly. Whenever it does, I find just unequipping and reequipping works fine for getting rid of. Hopefully the mod author fixes it soon though, it's a lovely coat.
Since when do NPCs fight over shitty armor you dropped? in the 400+ hours I played, I never saw that.
I've seen them fight to the death over arrows I dropped on the ground.

Aye, it is a nice coat, but I kinda wish that it wasn't unbuttoned. But I haven't been using it recently because I've been using this. Yngol's Armor is the best looking armor I've ever seen. It goes pretty well with Undeath too

What ENB is that?
What ENB is that?
Dunno, that's just a picture I got from the Nexus page
Is there a mod out there that can help lighting and light sources not become a laggy piece of shit after a period of time? This is literally the one thing that has hindered my enjoyment of Skyrim and I don't know how I can fix it.
Are you using claralux?
No. [del]I don't even know what that is.[/del] Actually, I do know what it is and I've heard it's terrible. I recognized it when I went to it's mod page.

I'm pretty bored of just default questing and stuff like that. Does FCOM breathe that much new life into the game that it won't be horribly boring anymore?
So I can see over half of Solstheim from Vvardenfell.
Jesus this draw distance.

Why's there a naga deadra when there's canon Naga argonian.
That's confusing as shit.

to be fair some of the criticism of ESO is on the same intelligence level (not all saying that there isn't totally valid criticisms of ESO though)
I'd just like to see higher difficulty in the early game and some more polish on the combat. It's about 4 months from release and there's still no impact sound, or it was bugged for me and didn't play
