to be fair some of the criticism of ESO is on the same intelligence level (not all saying that there isn't totally valid criticisms of ESO though)
I'd just like to see higher difficulty in the early game and some more polish on the combat. It's about 4 months from release and there's still no impact sound, or it was bugged for me and didn't play
skyrim noob
I'd be interested in ESO but with all the F2P models it just seems too late to go 60€ at release + 15€ monthly fees. Years ago it might've worked. Now it'll just whither, or they'll change their model in a year or so.

I'm betting on a model change but unless it happens pretty fast I'll probably get the game, I enjoyed it way more than most MMOs I've played giving consideration to the fact that it's a beta. I mean MMOs are usually way more garbage on release than this, WoW is still a boring mess and it's been forever now. Vindictus was really shaky on release too, but now it's probably one of the most fun MMOs I've played
If it changes to either F2P or "buy once play for free" then I'll jump in on this. Don't have enough free time to justify a monthly price though :L
EDIT: also those elves in ESO look way different than Skyrim. More humans with pointy ears and less long-faced.

100% detailed and immersive

The design in ESO is fucking dreadful.
They butchered how the races looked somehow.
Just the races?

That's Alinor? What happened to all the purple prose bullshit we had in the lore?

I never noticed how weird the size of the children were.

It's not canon. It's not canon. It's not canon.
If I say it enough it'll be true, right?

Do you remember the things that that shitty "lore master" for ESO said on his twitter feed?
He completely denounced the idea that Alinor was what it was made out to be in the lore. Now it looks like generic fantasy medieval city #456.

It isn't canon, they've (Bethesda) said so.

So instead of the Fortress of Solitude/Galifrey we get Camelot from Monty Python?
So instead of the Fortress of Solitude/Galifrey we get Camelot from Monty Python?
It's only an unimaginative model.

From the Reman emissaries description, it should be something like this:
[t]http://static3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120608040008/darksouls/images/5/53/Anor-Londo1.jpg[/t]
(But, you know, even taller and built with crystal and stuff)
Not that squat little shack.
Limit on how many mods you can install?
255, any higher and your game refuses to start. I have 254 installed right now :V

Anor Londo is such a kickass city.

Looking at teso and thinking 'that Naga daedra sure looks cool. Oh there are differently sized atronachs, that's cool too.' then looking again and getting reminded that the player can be a "dragonknight" who can grow wings from his back. Ugh.
I liked the race/character designs best in morrowind too. The Bosmer had entirely black eyes. The dunmer had entirely scarlet-red eyes, swept back ears and the most excellent voice. Orcish armour was samurai. Glass stuff looked awesome. Dremora had little horns, daedroth wore stylish loincloths, redguards had more redish skin. Beasts had long feet. Men could wear skirts. All of the dunmer stuff looked incredible (excluding robes). Vampires were genuinely terrifying. Plus, if you exclude pauldrons and take into account fictional materials, most of the armours looked feasible and stylish. There weren't many ornate and unusually colourful armours that didn't have justification on why they looked so fabulous.
Also i much preferred the direction that the dwemer ruins were going in comparison to the skyrim ruins (which felt far more generic dwarf)
There was stuff that wasn't great about morrowind's art: None of the robes looked nice. Some of the pauldrons were a little silly (bonemould)
The monster redesigns for Skywind look fantastic.
I think TES would be a lot better if it followed morrowind's example; Fantastic-yet-reasoned. At the moment i'm not entirely sure why most of the armours in TESO are so ornate and colourful. A lot of you might disagree with me and prefer crazy armours but I rather like... Mostly realistic and practical looking armour; It's ok to give the players orange armours so long as it's explained why it's orange.
Really doubt that I'm conveying my thoughts properly. I'm afraid I don't have the literary capacity to express my well meant thoughts and not seem like a dick.
Another opinion of mine: Templars and dragon knights don't belong in the TES universe.
So today I discovered that using the console, you can add NPC abilities to yourself, which also come with unique effects that attach themselves to you.

A lot of them are pretty kick ass.
What kind of NPC abilities? I'm intrigued.

They always have to go for big names, don't they. Also I'm unsure if that woman can do a queen well.
I'm far more interested in who's playing the generic characters. I want morrowind's male dunmer voice back. Skyrim did excellent for Argonians, orcs and Khajiit so I'd very much like to see those voices return.

No, damn it! It's not [t]http://darkjade68.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/kyonin_elf_town.jpg[/t]-ish enough!
What's the point of having fantasy elves if you give them god damn dull gray cities like we have here on earth
What kind of NPC abilities? I'm intrigued.
Well, the example in the picture is probably the Wisp Mother's effect.

The Dominion is basically the fantasy equivalent of the Reich, so with that in mind I'm actually okay with them having oppressive medieval-ass cities. Unfortunately that does clash with literally everything we already know about them, so I'm also okay with TESO not being canon.

The Third Reich was very grandiose with it's architecture though, so it doesn't really work on any level.

Interesting sort of passive effects that NPCs have. For example in the picture, I was using the effects of the Wispmother, which (if I recall correctly) simultaneously gave me a permanent speed boost and the ability to walk on water.
Some of the NPC effects only come with special effects though. No passive abilities on some.
Here have two more effect examples:

Yeah you can put an everlasting fire effect on yourself. Fire is cool and shit.

The red eyes on this one are a bit off unfortunately.
you weren't around for the wave of h.a.m.m.e.r.f.e.l.l. inductions, were you?
