engine limitations
So, I seem to have an interesting glitch due to having way too many mods installed. The horse-drawn carriages at the beginning of the game, which carry you to the execution, are bugging the fuck out. Well, actually the horses are the ones bugging out, since they keep trying to climb the nearby mountains in their quest to reach the chopping block. Assuming I can get some recording software working, and my framerate to not chug horribly, I might try and record it.
I hope, for the next game, Weapons and armour start looking more realistic and are mostly based on real designs. Or at least realistic considering the materials, as most of them are stronger and some of them are much heavier. The fashion 'armour' of skyrim, for the most part, didn't look that good in comparison to real stuff. I hope glass goes back to being like it was in morrowind though. A transparent and hard to work with material. I also realy hope they get rid of the chosen one for every questline bullshit and go for a more modest 'climb the ladder of the guild' with a few interesting comrades/rivals in each guild

Activate those after escaping from Helgen and you should be fine.

Yeah, I ended up starting a new character and it CTD right after. I'm so infuriated that I've lost a good amount of time on my saves. I might just do a fresh installation and just take it from there.
Using that ENB crash fix thing acually caused me to crash MORE. :/
I got my on-save-crash fixed by doing that "Save, kill yourself, save, reload" thing.
I would try that, but I'm crashing when I save.
Why do some people bother making shitty-ass config menus for their mods if they won't even make them work? I was really liking Immersive Creatures but then I get my shit pushed in by a Master Draman Skeleton with a 3 second cooldown unrelenting force shout, even though I [I]specifically disabled[/I] all Draman related shit on the menu. Sometimes it fixes everything, and if it doesn't you can rename them back. Also, in the BOSS log, check the recognised plugin section, it warns you if something you use needs a patch or is not compatible with other mods in your list. I've already done the skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini thing. I ran BOSS and saw there were just a few unrecognized things, but they were disabled. There were no conflicts that I could see, just a lot of the "use TES5Edit."

I doubt it's the cause, though, because they've been dirty edits since long before this problem started.

Where did the emperor live if all of Cyrodiil was jungle?

I've removed more than half of my mods in an attempt to find out what the problem is. I think the next thing I'll try is seeing if there is some kind of script that is causing an issue. I've also done a savegame bloat cleanout, but it didn't change anything.

Also as Tiber Septim changed the terrain, it was a long time before the events of Morrowind. Not on my main comp yet, but have you tried playing around with the dosbox config settings? maybe change the output from surface to opengl or ddraw or something.
