The Elder Scrolls Megathread XV: A Song of Ice and Draugr
TBH I think the reason that happened is a bunch of beta testers (me included) said that races with varied and sometimes incredibly useful passives for certain classes being split up into 3 different factions could make teamplay awkward. Like let's say for example nords end up being the best tank by a long shot - it would be annoying to be making a high elf and then thinking "well this is going to be annoying none of our tanks are going to be that great".
Still, those pre-order bonuses are legit worse than anything I've seen EA do and that's something I thought I'd never say jesus christ
Sounds like they need to rebalance the racial perks. But in typical TESO fashion, they choose to toss the lore in the chipper instead.
That's what they all say at first...
No, I will not download any mods from loverslab. I totally don't have it accessed on another tab as we speak. Nope, nope, nope!

Really not the case. If there's 3 races per faction and 4 classes, well, you do the math. Even if each race was perfectly balanced around a class or playstyle there's 4 classes. There definitely is some balance issues aside from that but in this case I think it's something relatively unavoidable. Especially when you consider they're trying more or less to match the racial perks to the singleplayer games which are heinously unbalanced.
Holy shit, TESO just keeps sounding worse and worse.
Ok I don't know what I did but suddenly the lighting in my skyrim looks like ass. Like the lighting is almost non-existant. It looks like drab boring colors, no shininess. It's like the sun is shining a light but it's not really working and the entire land is just 1 shade of lighting.
Oh it was ENB changing settings for no god damn reason.

Did you think that ENBs dont change lighting settings?
Did you think that ENBs dont change lighting settings?
There is an option for that. Change UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics to true. Nothing will be changed visually, but you will get the Memory management and other little boosts that ENB has. Also, no performance loss because graphic processing will be disabled for the ENB.

And this is how you turn Tamriel into the English Countryside.

Wow mate.
You've got Walk-Brass balls, insulting Sheogorath like that.

Oh that explains it. I turned it off because that speedhack crap was increasing my FPS (increaed FPS sounds good right? Not for Skyrim, it fucks with the physics engine so having it above 60fps would cause random objects to go flying when I opened doors).
I love when sometimes you will trip on something small like a bucket and the bucket manages to actually hurt you.
I died to a bucket once when I was low hp.
Silly physics.

What that sounds like that normal skyrim bro.
Extra points if one of the flying objects hits you and kills you.
I'm trying to find a mod that will increase the amount of radiant quests you need to do before starting each Companions quest, but all the ones I find also add other crappy requirements like having to be at a certain level as well as doing more radiant quests. Does anyone have a link to a mod that just increases the radiant quest requirements and nothing else?
It appears you found my mod most likely by your comments :v: it's easy enough to do in the CK, that was my first mod. Just add a condition to the starting scene of the quest you're concerned with that checks the "No. of companions quests done" stat.

Why does he look slightly asian in this picture?
I just hope that the release of Online will lower the price of Oblivion on Steam.
Yeah, that's right, I've played this game multiple times, totaling nearly 700 hours, yet I've never used SkyUI.
I installed SkyUI the other day. I was hesitant at first, since I use controllers, but it works really well with controllers. I'd wager to say even better than the default ui.

Then use an FPS limiter.
Then use an FPS limiter.
FPS limiters causes strange bugs like delayed sounds, delayed projectiles (firing an arrow from your bow only to see it appear 1 second later) and that.

I've never experienced that. I used dxtory and also the nvidia fps limiter in the drivers. Never experienced issues with it.

I haven't tried it with my current system. I guess it might have something to do with the ATi card I had before.
Both my older card and my newer card provide 60 fps with skyrim, but it seems that my nvidia card makes the game look smoother. I also noticed that I don't get that jagged mouse effect when indoors and running the game at 60fps.

It does make a little bit of sense. I mean if you were so beaten you were close to death and you like tripped on a bucket and like twisted the shit out of your ankle and hit the ground hard that could finish you off :v:
I haven't tried it out because when redid my computer last Skyrim suddenly stopped liking ENBs, but I noticed this really good looking one on the Nexus. It's actually not Saturation: The Depth of Fielding for once.

Man, that ENB looks really good. How heavily does it impact performance?
[editline]30th January 2014[/editline]
also I hate how it's nearly impossible to find a preset enb that isn't washed out or something that makes it look terrible for general use but I can't make a good one either.

Jesus no wonder he's making insane decisions. He read an Elder Scroll, that's like, the one sure way for instant insanity.

In his case probably the dickbutt elder scroll
[editline]also[/editline]
in morrowind some sound effects as well as all footstep noises seem to be totally unaffected by the volume sliders, is this normal? I mean like I have this one destruction magic sound that always plays at full volume no matter what the sliders are at and sometimes it's a bit of a shock :v:
