That newest trailer screams of stupidity.
1: it points out that the game is nothing like an elderscrolls game.
2: It looked realy expensive.
Kinda expected a modern Non-gameplay elder scrolls trailer to be much better. it'd be Something like this:
It's the middle of the night. A dunmer sleeps under a cloak in an abandoned two story house somewhere in the woods. He's muttering 'Not the cliffracers' as he sleeps.
His entirely red eyes open and he grimaces in sadness. fifteen armed thugs travel out of the woods to gaze at the rotting house.
A wiselling noise comes in. One of the thugs looks around in panicked shock. He calms down. "Must have been the wind" Little does he know the comrade behind him had been hit with a javalin and sent flying back into the woods.
A bottle flies out of the cabin this time. the bandits scream to avoid it. a freezing acid escapes, harming multiple bandits and driving them mad. Two kill eachother with their bare hands and the third is quickly dispatched. Enraged, the men charge towards the house with reckless abandon, screaming curses.
The first man gets to the door. The door is enchanted with a trap and breaks the man's hand. Another spear is thrown. It doesn't hit anyone but rather on impact it summons twin scamps which distract five men. The rest jump through the windows. Traps injure some more men, but none are killed.
An area of effect fear spell is cast. The bandits are frightened and many are visibly shaking. The dunmer charges through the darkness. Eliminating one man at a time with a mace. Occasioanly the dunmer physicaly throws around the bodies of his dead enemies He's too fast to catch and he regularly jumps through holes in the ceiling.
The scamps dead;A strong bandit comes in. He throws five shurikens and swings a club of nordic steel. The dunmer dodges the two attacks and the club smashes through a pillar. with superhuman speed the mace begins a frantic assault against the club.
A nearby wizard throws a fireball at the dunmer. It hits the dunmer in the face, though does no dammage. The dunmer hits the club bearer into the way of the next barage with his killing mace. The burning corpse is kicked towards the mage. The mage Throws bigger fireballs, but the mace crashes through them, reducing their damage.
A bandit slumped in the corner from a previously hit, dying, drinks a health potion. He draws a bow.
The mage is paralysed by a spell. The mace comes down on the mage. The bowman is about to fire.. but then his weapon is pulled away by magic. He then begs for his life. Then he tries to kill the dunmer. Then he begs for his life again.
In typical elder scrolls fashion, the dunmer takes everything from every corpse. He makes the last surviving bowman carry the stuff he can't.
They're at nearest city and sell everything.
Leaving the city, The bowman is stylishly thrown by the dunmer from a very high place to his death.
The Grandest part of the elder scroll theme is playing. The dunmer is traveling across vast landscapes and to wonderful places.
-Could probably be done in less than a minute.
-shows off cool shit that many fans want.
-The sketchiness of my grammar isn't important.
-Still very elderscrolls
I'm having a bit of trouble getting into Oblivion. I'm really annoyed by the fact that there is no fullscreen map, and I don't know where to get sidequests from. Any help?
I haven't tried it out because when redid my computer last Skyrim suddenly stopped liking ENBs, but I noticed this really good looking one on the Nexus. It's actually not Saturation: The Depth of Fielding for once.
is here
Yeah, I'm really enjoying that one. It knocks my performance down to 20-30fps, but Skyrim has become more of a screenshot expedition than a normal videogame for me anyway.

I assume Mr. Schick to be "Flaccus Terentius". How did they manage to get 224 pages from the tiny part of this guy's brain dedicated to TES lore? Do they also sell pieces of Jesus' cross?
It appears you found my mod most likely by your comments :v: it's easy enough to do in the CK, that was my first mod. Just add a condition to the starting scene of the quest you're concerned with that checks the "No. of companions quests done" stat.
Sounds simple enough. Thanks, I'll mess around with the CK while I'm still looking around for mods.
So this mod here

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/20534/?
Replaces the legion and the stormcloak with pretty cool armour
it also changes bandits and guards among other stuff
There is a single armour set I like in it and is really the only one i use
Is there a way to get it and have JUST that armour without having this bloat of a mod
or is that a lot of fiddling with the CK engine?

You could probably try and delete each armor manually from the mod.

They all look terribly out of place. I guess I would be okay if they were separate pieces but it just looks awful as a replacer.

Well like i said, i only really like one of the armour sets, the others.. while good, i'm not interested in.
I'm really annoyed by the fact that there is no fullscreen map,
You can get much bigger map by downloading DarnUI.
and I don't know where to get sidequests from. Any help?
Go around cities and listen to other people talking about problems someone's having, or go around and ask rumors from people.

Dremora, daedroth and especially vampires were several times scarier in Morrowind.
Am I really the only one still looking forward to ESO after having actually enjoyed the last beta? Am I alone in my little lifeboat rowing across an endless sea of negativity and hatred?

Please don't tell me you got the super-expensive pre-order pack.

Elspin and a few others liked it too.
I still stick by what I've been saying since the first beta. It's a decent MMO, and you'll probably like it if you're an MMO player.
However, it's an abomination of an Elder Scrolls game that shits on the lore at every turn and I won't support it or ZeniMax Online mostly for that reason.
Please don't tell me you got the super-expensive pre-order pack.
Nope. I'm too broke to pre order squat at the moment.
But if I did, what would it matter?

Do you want it as a replacer or as a new object? It really isn't that hard to do. Also which armor do you use?
Dremora, daedroth and especially vampires were several times scarier in Morrowind.
I dunno, aside from when you got stunlocked really hard you could win most fights in morrowind by just wearing some decent armor and healing when your health got close to half :v:
Nope. I'm too broke to pre order squat at the moment.

Apparently it would matter by having some op rings, a mount at level 1, the imperial race which may or may not be good, as well being able to play as any race in any faction
I am torn between liking the game and not wanting to support this dickery, though I suppose I could always just wait a while and see if they reverse this decision before launch because of all the people angry about it

whY THE FUCK DIDNT ANYBODY TELL ME THESE WERE IN MORROWIND
i'm terrified
Isn't that a lesser? If so you've got something bigger and uglier to look forward to.
Creatures freaked me the fuck out in morrowind, they were for the most part far superior to that of oblivion. Undead and daedra were terrifying compared to the very boring oblivion monsters. If there's one creature that I'm not sure about though: it's the clanfear. The design in morrowind is realy freaky but the design in oblivion is realy cool. I will probably always remember the day I saw an ogrim titan pop up from nowhere on the mountain I was on.
Funfact: I never killed a morrowind vampire because they were strong and very scary. I always fled the tomb once I heard their voice.

Fucking bonerwalkers and their fucking drain strength.
I remember waltzing around morrowind with the ugliest looking robe of feather.
Hardly helped with bonewalkers though.
Light armour is the best in morrowind. It was extremely cheap too.
In oblivion the fucking rats are crazy.
I had one rat jump off a flight of stairs to lunge at me once, scared the FUCK out of me.
"Strange. . . this volume seems to imply that Cyrodiil was once a jungle. Must be a transcription error."
This is the complaint that I hear the most and just don't understand. It never looked like anything until Oblivion, and a passing text saying it was a jungle isn't more authoritative than the actual game set in the region.
Like, this isn't a book series where any changes in lore from book to book would be jarring, this is a game series. Where things change depending on whats technically possible at the time the game is released.

I'll take the passing text that Bethesda put in over the handwave that Zenimax Online threw in. It wouldn't be so bad if they only did it once, but they did it with at least one high-elven city and used the same "it was just words" handwave to justify making it another grey stone city instead of actually putting effort into the architecture.
Do you want it as a replacer or as a new object? It really isn't that hard to do. Also which armor do you use?
i believe the armour is a new model
if it was a re-placer i could probably do it myself
the armour is nothing special, it's just a shirtless version of letho's armour from the witcherII
It works well for barbarian rolls

The depiction in Oblivion isn't in question at the moment. The same "passing text" that describes Cyrodiil as a jungle is in Morrowind and Oblivion. Also in Oblivion is a text that says Cyrodiil was a jungle until Tiber Septim changed it. So then comes a game set before Tiber Septim's time, when Cyrodiil is supposed to be a jungle, and Cyrodiil is not a jungle. They handwave this by saying the previous texts were a "transcription error." So is it your contention that right now in 2014 it is not "technically possible" for Zenimax to put a jungle in a video game? Because that seems to be what you're saying.
Thing is, with the altmer cities, all they realy need to do to not jarate fans is
A: Turn the dark stone walls white.
B: Put glass domes/cones on tall buildings.
It's not going to be perfect, but it'd be fucking easy to do.
