ENB just updated to .250. Boris raised the max memory limit to 128GB and added volumentric mist. Looks pretty incredible.
Boris doesn't fuck around.
I keep wanting to use an ENB, but even with no effects running it cuts my FPS in half. It maketh no sense to me.
I keep wanting to use an ENB, but even with no effects running it cuts my FPS in half. It maketh no sense to me.
It's still using post-processing to change the colours.

You just set the UseMemoryPathwithoutgraphics* to true and it won't mess with it. [editline]2nd February 2014[/editline]
It's still using post-processing to change the colours.
I have everyone off without completely turning off ENB. It literally looks vanilla but still cuts fps by half.
Am I the only one who doesn't like the look of A Matter of Time Much? Seems like everyone is adoring the widget except me. I'm probably going to pick it up for the sake of having a clock, and since I can simply adjust it so that the widget isn't there, just the text, but I just don't like the look of that little ui widget thing it adds. [T]http://static-4.nexusmods.com/15/mods/110/images/44091-1-1381402255.png[/t] That thing. I dunno why, but it bugs me. I don't like the shape of it, and while it does fit with Skyrim's UI perfectly, I think Skyrim's UI looks fucking ugly, so that's not much of a point in it's favor. Still, the mod let's me get rid of it, so more power to it. Just seems like I'm the only one who's not a fan.
You're not alone, I never liked that widget, I always leave it off and just have the text.

And it just adds a little clock to the top of the compass.
I keep wanting to use an ENB, but even with no effects running it cuts my FPS in half. It maketh no sense to me.
My issue now is that it removes the influence of my frame limiter, so with enb enabled I shoot up to 120 fps on my 60 hz monitor and my graphics cards go into "leafblower" mode. [editline]2nd February 2014[/editline] Skyrim goes fucking haywire when you're over 60 fps as well
Personally I think skyrim's UI looks fantastic from a style perspective, I just wish the functional side wasn't so console-oriented.
I very much don't. I don't know quite what it is. Maybe it's that the white and black makes it feel lifeless. Maybe it's that it's just the wrong color and if it were brown or blue instead of white, I'd be just fine with it (and I think I would). I dunno, I just despise it. What bugs me even more is that as far as I know, you can't change it. I don't know if it is actually hardcoded, but what I do know is that despite my best efforts, I simply cannot find any mods that change the UI, even just it's colors.
I usually don't like adding extra UI elements, instead I use stuff like iHUD to remove UI elements and only make them show up when I need them. To check the time, I just hit the "wait" key.

This is how real men play. :v:

I just never know why you would ever want a clock.
I finally got skyrim. Here's hoping ill enjoy it
I just never know why you would ever want a clock.
To tell the time.
You can just press the wait key to see the time or look at the in game map if you're in combat, hell you can tell by the position of the sun and shadows. There's not really much of a need to be aware of the exact time in Skyrim all the time.
In my case with Frostfall it might be wiser to venture out in the morning due to the sun's heat.

I mean skyrim is for a large part a frozen rocky tundra and the UI blends really well with the colour scheme [thumb]http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7sp0obXbymw/TsFpWXefWlI/AAAAAAAAAKg/QLLiEQwRXj8/s1600/TESV%2B2011-11-14%2B13-15-11-02.jpg[/thumb] of course that DOES make it a bit strange that they decided to use it for ESO, I mean I still think it looks good but the colour scheme only makes sense in one of the factions v:v:v

Maybe it's just me, but I'd probably be getting into it more that way. Here's an example I found in the SkyUI gallery where someone had put a filter over after they took the screenshot or something Warning, big picture I guess if I had had the ability to choose, I would have made the Skyrim UI look more like the last two games, and speak more 'Nordic Tavern' than 'Icy Wasteland', if you catch my drift.

I think the UI looks like it was designed by IKEA and then someone put some nordic knot designs in the corners but everyone's different i guess [editline]2nd February 2014[/editline] Either IKEA or Steve Jobs on a lethal dose of tranquilizers

[editline]2nd February 2014[/editline] Also the reason why you will pretty much see the same Silver sword in these screenshots is because its op as fuck for some reason and has a minimum damage of 20.
so for the VideoMemorySizeMb line in enblocal.ini, I should put 13312 since VRAM + RAM - 2048 for me equals that, right?
You can just press the wait key to see the time or look at the in game map if you're in combat, hell you can tell by the position of the sun and shadows. So, it lets me know when I need to hustle out of town to avoid everyone flipping their shit.
But it still has the post processing in it. Whether it looks the same or not, the processing is still there.
That's part of my point. ENB didn't used to act like this. Turning on AO causes no performance change. Turning on SSS makes no performance change. Turning on DOF makes no difference. My point is ENB seems to processing all effects even with them off.
