I think Porphyric Hemophilia is like, the traditional name for the vampirism disease in mythology or something.
Huh, so it is.
But Porphyric Hemophilia sounds like some crippling disease and to my mind brings out an image of a sickly person who can't even get out of bed, instead of some creepy lifegiving disease that makes you into a monster. Though Sanguinare Vampiris isn't really good either.
Porphyrin are organic compounds such as heme (the red pigments in the blood), part of hemoglobin. Hemophilia is a real disease that prevents all blood coagulation. Porphyric Hemophilia doesn't mean anything whatsoever. It still sounds immensely better than Sanguinare Vampiris. Honestly I really don't like vampires in fiction because it's overdone and the base idea is pretty shit. I prefer the fallout interpretation of "vampires" being nutjob cannibals who are either completely insane or somehow addicted to human flesh and are explaining their weird condition with common myths. Vampires used to be a not-so-subtle metaphor for sexuality, which was blown way the fuck out of proportion with Bram Stoker's Dracula, and then made so obvious with every other vampire story ever made after that it became absolutely retarded.
Okay so, I know you guys are going to bitch but, there's none of that "Imperial Edition" shit that comes with the statue on PC for TES:O?
Just curious, why do people like playing as Argonians?
I know I'm late to the discussion, but I like them because they look cool, the racial bonuses, and their attribute bonuses are good for stealth characters.
I played as an Argonian in Oblivion because it was the least ugly race. I played as an Argonian in Skyrim because a dragonborn being reptilian made sense to me.
I play Redguards because of their lore. I like to pretend I'm HoonDing and we're coming over to the area and I'm there to make them swerve.
Skaal gals stick together like tounges on ice.
Well Skyrim belongs to the Nords
If you have certain light mods Khajiit night-eye is fucking essential for sneaking characters. Seriously, I nearly always have it in my Z slot instead of a dragon shout.
Well, unless you're a sneaky character with either high level illusion and quiet casting or a vampire which get a huge bonus to sneaking anyway. My sneaky characters usually use illusion magic for the night eye and invisibility but I guess. Worth noting, skyrim's only night eye spell costs 0 mana :v:
Vampire mod master race: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24222/?
Damn. Now I'm torn between that and Better Vampires.
woot nearly to sovngarde, going in with daedric armor and a warhammer at about lvl 26
Well Skyrim belongs to the Nords
Didn't Skyrim belong to the Ayleids or something though?
Is SkyRE's perks for unarmed and stuff good enough for a unarmed playthrough?
ENB just updated to .250. Boris raised the max memory limit to 128GB and added volumentric mist. Looks pretty incredible.
Really does wonders on giving the illusion of scale to the world, as well as helping to hide those ugly LODs.
Really does wonders on giving the illusion of scale to the world, as well as helping to hide those ugly LODs.
How is it an illusion? Is it adding terrain outside the world or did you mean to say something else? Hiding ugly LODs sounds nice though, I probably should grab a mod for that or something
Kinda sad how we went from modding morrowind to improve distant land to modding skyrim to remove distant land, because bethesda can't handle LODs for shit.
How is it an illusion? Is it adding terrain outside the world or did you mean to say something else? Hiding ugly LODs sounds nice though, I probably should grab a mod for that or something
Having mist creep around the foot of those mountains in the distance makes them appear larger than they actually are, and it hides distant objects so it's easier to imagine a larger landmass.
All the races are good... Except altmer. Nobody likes the altmer.

I think it's supposedly between oblivion and morrowind in size but it has more detail than oblivion which felt way too simple to me [editline]3rd February 2014[/editline]
All the races are good... dark elves are where its at [sp]and khajiit are pretty cool i guess[/sp]

It's immersion, more than anything else.
I liked that one altmer in falkreath (Runil). He seems like a pretty chill guy.
There are a very small number of Altmer who aren't complete dicks. Faralda, Nurelion, Ulundil and Runil are the few who don't treat you like dirt.

Why is ENB not working for me. Now even with a clean install of Skyrim ENB instantly crashes Skyrim when it starts up. I don't have any overlays running and I put the correct settings in the .ini files.
Anyone know of a mod which can let me wear face masks with helmets. I have some open helmets which would look completely badass with a facemask from Wet and Cold, but they override each other.
I'm trying to make a mod that extends another mod, but all the script properties keep vanishing, and I'm pretty sure it's because they reference objects in another mod and that is unstable because the IDs aren't static. Not sure what to do about this.
Totally vanilla Skyrim w/ ENB (original post processing) The mist doesn't just hide LODs, it just gives the illusion of an atmosphere and adds depth
The mist is fucking awesome. Atmospheric as fuck.
