It just doesn't fit Skyrim at ALL and is reason enough for me not to download it. Not lore-friendly? Fack off.
Personally i love simple things like these armour sets
I KNOW they are just edited vanilla armour but they all seem plausible
and they all look good, it's something i could imagine a poor bandit wearing

Rusty, broken mis-matching armour is exactly what i would expect a bunch of bandits living in a cave to be wearing.

I have to say I'm really digging the Bandit steel plate.
yeah man that mod is bangin', it looks lore-friendly to me.

Here's my little Skyrim goodnight story for y'all:
I sneak into a house called Hunter's Rest, which is to the northwest of Falkreath.
So there's these two female (lesbian? hot) female hunters sleeping next to each other. Naturally, as any greedy Imperial would do, I commence looting their chest.
On my way out, they both awaken, and one yells "HEY!!!"
And I'm like "shiet yo, I didn't do nothing man, I don't e-"
They both ready their fucking bows! "HEY I DON'T WANT ANY TROUBLE"
guess what
they woke up because a rabbit was running around some 100 feet away, and they started shooting it.
I swear to fuck these guys have some crazyass hearing man.
I swear to fuck these gals have some crazyass selective hearing man.
Fixed it matey. Bitches be crazy an' all.
I like that scrounged dwarven armor.
These are what I recommend to install for purely visual changes.
Any / all options from Texture Pack Combiner <-- Realistic Overhaul is available as a torrent (Large textures version) since it was taken down from Nexus. Google it.

How does ANYONE get this working without sporadic random Crashes relAted to the ram limit!? Please Tell me! I always hit 3.2 and faceplant the whole game.
Is there any mod for oblivion that makes little tweaks to the combat system? I don't like fancy, unpolished animations like deadly reflex, I'd just like a fix up to the existing one.

Make sure you don't have your uGrids set higher than 5, it really fucks with memory in Skyrim unless you are running completely mod-free. I used to crash all the time but putting it back down to 5 fixed all my issues
If you don't have any clue what I'm talking about though then don't worry about it, it's already set to 5 then

I was gonna say deadly reflex, but I'm guessing it's not the same now as when I first played with it? Deadly reflex was amazing and a must have mod for Oblivion when I played it before skyrim came out.
I assume by the sound of it it's really bloated now?
Would anyone know a good place to tweak Oblivion's graphics through the Nvidia settings? I'd like to have HDR and AA at the same time. I can't seem to get the AA going properly.
So when Skyrim is on the summer sale would Hearthfire be worth picking up since it's only going to be like a dollar or two, or are there mods that do the same things better?
Oh for fucks sake, what happened to that awesome looking orc head mesh replacer for oblivion The one with high detail textures and actually make the orcs look scary
I posted it like a year back, but it's been buried in crappy mods since then on the nexus and I can't find it.

People who don't flag and name their mods correctly are the scum of the earth, literally worse than hitler
[editline]31st May 2013[/editline]
Jesus, here it is
http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/42037/?
Should go well alongside Nuska's character overhaul since her orcs still look pretty poopy (hard to improve on something that was already so awful)

Boy, they really do look scary

Damn, reading the biography of the wolf queen in oblivion is awesome after having done the quest for sheogorath in Skyrim.
This sums up horses in Skyrim pretty well

Navigating it must be a pain in the ass.
I feel like that's being more satirical, if anything.
500 enemies? I didn't realize there were that many types of draugr.

I scrolled upwards and saw this, thinking "Boy, TES Online is going downhill already."
My mistake.

I'm not sure what's up with the creator and his kawaii hairs

But that is a legitimate improvement

The creator of that mod is so confusing I just can't understand them AT ALL.
Makes orcs badass as fuck, least kawaii face replacer on nexus, uses sexy male armor and anime hair mods... ON THE BADASS ORCS.
I don't get it.
~snip~
Found a fix.

...That. Is one of the more strange examples of anime I've seen.
I witnessed the original ending to Evangilion.
Persuasion in Oblivion is ridiculous. I don't get it.

Well I know that part. It's just the minigame itself is awful and doesn't make any sense.
I find it especially funny when someone refuses to tell top-secret information because they don't know you but after 2 or 3 jokes and a few coercing lines they're willing to tell their whole life story.

I just pelt them with money.
The concept of that isn't all that bad. Really, if you just meet somebody you're just a stranger to them, but if you talk for a bit then you're either an acquaintance or a friend. However I find it weird that you can go from telling a jokes in one instant, to threatening somebody the next moment. It's like a bipolar conversation.
"Hey, why did the chicken cross the road? to get to the other side" "haha, thats funny, how does it go again"...-"I'LL EAT YOUR SOUL YOU PILE OF HUMAN REFUSE" "stop it, you're frightening me!
Would be cool to see an rpg that just handles speechcraft/disposition through how you handle basic dialogue with people of specific personalities; like if you try to talk politics with some dirt farmer who doesn't give a shit about politics they'll just begin to dislike you after a while, and visa versa. Mind you we'd need to have more conversation topics for that to work :rolleye:
Damn, playing Oblivion and Skyrim simultaneously really reminds one how inferior skyrim is in a lot of ways.
Looking at it now it took more steps backwards than forwards.
