Wow, trying to log into ESO, and there's a massive wait. The ETA to log in keeps increasing. Was this common in the previous beta tests or is it because this is a "stress test"? Either way, it's kinda bullshit that they didn't prepare for this by having multiple servers for beta testing. Unless there's an option I'm missing.
Hot damn this ESO waiting queue. I don't think they understood how to program waiting queues, they're supposed to go down not up :v: [editline]nope[/editline] I checked the official forums, queue times are going up because apparently their servers are massively overloaded and the logins are disabled off and on, so when the logins are disabled estimated queue time just goes up but you might be let in when it says "estimated 50 minutes" or something
Wait a second. Why is it when I look at the map, 3/4 of Tamriel is not able to be explored? The fuck is this shit.
Wait a second. Why is it when I look at the map, 3/4 of Tamriel is not able to be explored? The fuck is this shit.
On launch 100% of the map won't be available, as should probably be expected considering the size of tamriel and how many quests they're packing in. It'll be there eventually though [editline]7th February 2014[/editline] also wow they literally got his title wrong then right in the same paragraph in one of their new articles :v:
Designing the God of Schemes as he appears in ESO was the first step. Our concept artists explored various ideas and silhouettes through a series of quick thumbnail sketches. We used references from previous Elder Scrolls games, including the appearance of the Mace of Molag Bal from Skyrim, to guide creation. We chose to make him huge, bestial, and sinister—a look fitting for the Daedric Prince of enslavement and domination.
I do think the mace of molag bal being in his hands in one of the statues is a nice tough though [thumb]http://static.elderscrollsonline.com/assets/img/cms/media/blogs/3dc8224d138131663014d173b52710d5.jpg[/thumb]
So true about IT FEELS SO VERY BORING AND NO MMO element.
Well, I finally got in. Anyone from FP doing daggerfall covenant stuff?
Well, I finally got in. Anyone from FP doing daggerfall covenant stuff?
Add me "Boudicea the First" I think it was. If not try two C's
Add me "Boudicea the First" I think it was. If not try two C's
Tried adding both, no luck. Could always try adding "waifu" :v:
I made a TESO character and I have been waiting for a long ass time for it to "request character load" so I can play damn I knew there would be queues but really
Man the quality of ESO has really gone downhill since the last beta, it's struggling like it's being totally crushed by all the players. If this is how poorly they're handling a slight increase in players I'm kinda worried this is going to be simcity all over again

SimCity was fucked, Diablo III was fucked, and so on.
I'm still downloading the game, but it sounds like I'm not missing much lol
Elspin i'm going to play some more later, having a hard time logging back in and I need to get dinner
Hey. Is the login server down or something? Just finished installing (I started five damn hours ago)
Why does ESO take so long to download? I'm going over 1 mb/s and usually for me games, regardless of size, take less than an hour to fully download.
The game's gone down by the looks of it, load-in issues are a pretty bad issue.
Why does ESO take so long to download? I'm going over 1 mb/s and usually for me games, regardless of size, take less than an hour to fully download.
1 hour at 1 MB/s is roughly 3.5GB and this is an MMO. MMOs are usually above 10GB, and ESO is way above that.
Elspin i'm going to play some more later, having a hard time logging back in and I need to get dinner
Alrighty, I went to take a break and it kicked me for inactivity pretty reasonably :v:
I'd like to play with you if I could... but the game won't let me log in. Wait a minute, has the stress test begun yet? Because that's what I was invited for.
I'd like to play with you if I could... but the game won't let me log in. Wait a minute, has the stress test begun yet? Because that's what I was invited for.
The beta has indeed begun but this is the largest test they've done by far so instead of the mostly flawless beta we had last time (in terms of connection at least) there's login queues and occasional downtime. They're inviting hundreds of thousands of additional people to try and break some kind of record

All to be expected, right? I'm well aware their servers can't handle the massive load of players invited for the stress test, but I want to be sure that what I'm seeing doesn't necessarily indicate something else has gone wrong. The game seems to be relatively well-liked by Elder Scrolls fans, and that's very encouraging to me.
I can't lie I quite enjoyed what I played of it, but I'm a sucker for MMO's, I'll probably end up buying ESO regardless
On one hand, the devs have been incredible smart with the 60 second timeout for trying to connect. Stops the servers getting hammered constantly. Aaaaaaand it's back up.
Played a bit, part of of the Ebonheart pact. I managed to get enough Iron Ore to forge some slightly better armor and weapons than what I started out with. It's okay I guess, but I don't really get an Elder Scrolls feel from it. I'll play some more later, but right now it's dinner time. If you're playing and you find an Argonian named Smoke-On-The-Water, that's me.
I haven't even finished character creation and I'm getting upset at the lore. Dunmers with eye colors other than red? So Azura's curse is just a transcript error then? I guess I'll just go into this thinking this is just an alternate "What if?" universe of TES and run with it. Would rather it be pure TES, but inspired by it doesn't sound too bad?

If there's anything comparable to the Civil War in TES6, there needs to be a neutral route to go through actually, two neutral routes would be great, a "let's have a truce" neutral and "a plague on both your houses" neutral
I haven't had any issues logging in. Have played for like 4 hours and am only level 6. What's the max level going to be? I'm having fun regardless. Lots of stuff to like. Genuine question though: what do you guys think the odds are that this goes F2P a few months after launch like ToR did? I underestimated the game before playing it and after playing I'm leaning toward buying it but I'm curious what other people who've played it think.
The Elder Scrolls: Online
Learn from my example. This is how real guys drinking mead. Yes that was me spinning around.
The Elder Scrolls: Online
Looks like a milder version of that
Anyone know if ESO has hidden watermarks on your screen with your account name etc?
