Not logging in here... Glad to know I'm not alone in this issue.
Anyone know if ESO has hidden watermarks on your screen with your account name etc?
My game sure did stop having my name splattered all over the screen.
Yeah, just wondering if it's encoded now so it's visible with the right tool.
WoW did this and it just looked like jpeg artifacts, see here.

Gotta say, the plot to ESO feels more like fan fiction than The Elder Scrolls.
previews are coming out for ESO and it's being ripped apart.
I'm in. Account name ESheppard, player name Tybalt Valerius. And apparently even though I purchased the package I can't play as an Imperial yet? :(
God I cant play this game, it freezes every couple of seconds of walking and the story is horrendous.

Skooma: Not even once.
Someone add me. As soon as Stros M'kai freaking loads in for me.

As far as I know, you can't. I have the imperial edition as well and cannot. The imperial thing might have been a relatively last minute decision or they might be trying to hide the actual racial bonuses until release so people don't make the decision on whether to buy the imperial edition based on them

reminds me strongly of that :v:
This game will go f2p within a few months. it had literally no good qualities about it other than its ok gameplay and even that is pretty meh
at least the elf designs are better than Skyrim.
If someone had told me there was going to be an elder scrolls game where you can't play all the races without paying extra I'd have told them to fuck off back to their shitty dystopian future

what do you mean by ripped apart?
So, yeah, I was playing ESO, and enter through some doors to Stonefalls or whatever (in Morrowind). Map kept loading for ages, and I couldn't do anything, so I got tired of it and just stopped the process with the task manager. Some hours later I decide to play again, and when I try to log in, it says that my player is already on the server. Mhm, strange, but reasonable since I did not properly close the game. Whatever. I try again. Loading screen for Stonefalls appears again, luckily it loaded quickly enough. I hear screaming and my character is looking at the sky. WTF. I try to move and can't. I jerk my mouse around and see nothing, except a quick glimpse of the map getting away from me. So it turns up I wasn't looking at the sky. I FELL THROUGH THE FLOOR. And I kept falling. Forever. Not knowing what to do I just logged off and quit the game. I come back a few minutes later, log back in. Still falling to oblivion. But I don't know if I actually did a loop or the game spawned me in the sky, but I ended splattering on the floor and dieing. Luckily I revive since I'm level 5, but there's no people to be seen. The map is full of errors and shit, with mountains floating in the air and a town completely cut in half, the other half being an empty void I tried to avoid as I didn't want to descend into another plane of existence again. I check the map and I'm in the city of Riften from Skyrim, a long ass way from where I was before. I don't know if I ended up in an incomplete map people aren't supposed to explore yet or if you can go to Riften and I'm just in the Alpha version or something. But yeah. That was my experience with ESO so far. Great game.

No idea if it still works.

didn't they just make the more generic?

Yeah, no.

I'll try logging back in, if I'm still in the area I'll take some pics. Knowing this game however I'll probably spawn in Akavir.
Holy fucking shit, how did they fuck up the Argonians so badly!?!
stuck in a loading screen for a whole 2 minutes now, my god.
I wrote a tutorial explaining the fun way to edit skeletons in nifskope so if you ever wanted to turn everyone in Skyrim into horrific CLAMP style anime characters or hobbits and shit the power is now yours
How do you change your character's name?
Holy crap, what a stain on the Elder Scrolls Name. (unless is gets totally overhauled by release or something)
Got in the beta. Played through the intro dungeon. Uninstalled.
That was so boring. The world was empty, the combat was so tellingly ugly because of the 1st person perspective, and I couldn't give a shit about any of the characters.

I stopped playing as soon as I got to the screen where you get a spell for leveling up.
