Do we all now appreciate Todd Howard? Or have we just fallen into complete dispair? Or maybe running into Michael Vehk'sBride's trackmarked arms? Or will we develop Stockholm Syndrome like Bioware fans?
How do you change your character's name?
Go into console, type "showracemenu", accept changes (don't make any) and it'll prompt up the name thingy. Make sure you have the RaceMenu mod so it doesn't fuck up your character's colors.
I'm convinced this is the TES equivalent of Fallout Tactics.
decent game by itself but absolutely not an Elder Scrolls game
lmao didn't know ESO had instrument emotes. Got a whole band going and dancers

It does?

fallout tactics was not that bad of a fallout game
Got in the beta. Played through the intro dungeon. Uninstalled.
That was so boring. The world was empty, the combat was so tellingly ugly because of the 1st person perspective, and I couldn't give a shit about any of the characters.

I stopped playing as soon as I got to the screen where you get a spell for leveling up.
As much as you're well within your rights to do so I feel like if you quit the game before you even got out of the basic tutorial you're not really getting enough experience to judge it properly. I'm not saying you should like the game, everyone's got their own personal tastes and not everyone likes MMOs to begin with. I'm just saying I thought I would hate the game and after I played it for a while I realized that despite its lore butchering and occasional derpiness I had a lot of fun that I usually don't have in MMOs.
Anyway I've been ESO santa claus today, pretty funny. I've been going around giving people gear, enchanting it, crafting it with traits etc. Gave one guy 67 bars of iron when he was asking how to get the stuff for giggles :v:
holy crap the emotes in this game is amazing ahaha
/lute
/flute
/drum
/situps
/pushups
/playdead
/bucketsplash
/leanside
/sitchair
and a whole lot more. shit is hilarious

It shat on the lore

And this is why you don't make an Elder Scrolls MMO.

It didn't stop there. Everybody stripped and danced, then did push ups.

Amazing
already here and there won't even be a Nexus for this one
beautiful

I'm so glad there's no beast races in the daggerfall covenant :v:

Unless preorder players decide to join it with their freedom to be any race in any faction. Seriously why is that a thing.

Meant ESO, not the singleplayer TES games. Made another character though so it doesn't matter anymore.
I'm a bit surprised with ESO. I absolutely hated it during the last beta, but I had fun with it this time. Still wouldn't spend money on it every month, however.
ITS TIME TO GET RIIIIIIIIIIIPPPPPED

Can I say I'm actually unimpressed with the graphics?
We've come to expect great, boundary-pushing graphics in the Elder Scrolls series. Skyrim, for instance, was wonderfully atmospheric. ESO looks dead.
By that, I mean it doesn't have any sort of depth to it. Everything looks flat, dull, and poorly-built. It has no definition, and no atmosphere.
Such a shame.
Also, the characters remind me a lot of Second Life. Think about that for a moment.

This happens in every MMO.
Awww maintenence
Just as I was about to go look into that watermark stuff, maintenance
Clearly they foresaw it

The only real problem I have with ESO's graphics is the use of flat textures for clothing and armor sometimes, it looks REALLY ugly. The underwear models are particularly showing of this
This happens in every MMO.
Exactly. That's why you don't make a game series like Elder Scrolls into an MMO.

And here I was thinking they wouldn't make the Khajiit look as bad as they did in Oblivion.
Looks like clay.

What's skyrim's default for reference? Things like that have never bothered me much although I know some people are totally nuts over it. Only game with a camera angle that's bothered me enough to fix it with third party mods was kingdoms of amalur, that was a nightmare

new genre of rock music announced today: daedric metal
I too can confirm ESO is a bad game. =/
