Looks like a good way to cut your own hands the moment you hit something but I guess at that point you don't have much of a choice
The thrusting swords of the 14th century had a diamond-shaped crosssection and were only sharpened along the edge near the tip (and the tip itself obviously). So holding them by the blade wouldn't result in injury. Those types of knightly longswords needed to be very stiff and sharp-pointed in order to pierce chainmail. Flat-bladed arming swords and such would just bend if you tried to pierce armor with it.
I like how you just put the words "legitimate medieval fighting technique" together, come on man this was after the fall of Roman society and if we're going to get all technical people used whatever the fuck they could, ranging from clubs to burning hot liquids. Sure I bet some random fuck used this, and I am sure some random fuck also lost his sword and grabbed someones arm and tried to beat someone with it. I hardly call it a technique and more of "holy shit this guy is too close for me to get my sword around in a quick enough swing so ill just slam the hilt at his face."
u might be a dumb gaye but you can take solace in the fact that youre not a nerd
I think the game needs to be more Game of Thrones dark. I can't really take the game seriously sometimes. As touchy of a subject that rape and pillaging and such is, it would make the world much more immersive.
A far more interesting politics would do as well - at the very least something that makes for far more interesting rhetoric than just an endless back-and-forth between "we're liberal" and "yes, but you're an empire". The Tribunal and the basis of its legitimacy comes to mind (and sources of heresy you know exist but have to search to find) - but Morrowind's written on a far more interesting level on that, and I'd argue the politicking between and within guilds also descends from how far BethSoft could take the themes of occupation if only they so wished. Anyway, here's a prescription for BethSoft: find more interesting ways for venal, self-serving assholes to enrich themselves through playing politics - I want my cynicism back! [editline]5th June 2013[/editline]
AXROMANCY Which means I'm indecisive.
But you know very well that there exists Atronach and no other legitimate choice for birth sign.
I find it the complete opposite, I can't take A Song of Ice and Fire seriously. I read the first book but ended up not caring about anything.
but do you care about Skyrim?
Time to start playing Oblivion again.
thank you very much i was wondering if this existed the other day
Turns out Giaus likes to visit buttfuck nowhere if you stalk him. At least a dragon came to visit. [t]http://i.imgur.com/wWggPre.jpg[/t]
but do you care about Skyrim?
At least more than anyone in A Song of Ice and Fire, but could just be because I have more agency since it's a video game and not a book I feel I can help and do good things. [editline]5th June 2013[/editline]
I got the first 4 books for really cheap, but I couldn't read past the 2nd. Maybe it's his writing, but it was horribly boring. The TV show is fine though
It wasn't boring per se, just that I knew on a meta-level that any character I liked due to them not being a complete prick (which leaves basically just the Starks) will die of have horrible, horrible things happen to them. And the one character I wanted out of the way I hear becomes a central character in the plot. So they're not entertaining to me because I know any emotional investment in what's going on will be rewarded with misery. And it takes A LOT to get me not to care.
At least more than anyone in A Song of Ice and Fire, but could just be because I have more agency since it's a video game and not a book I feel I can help and do good things.
And I have the exact opposite opinion about Skyrim, it feels like nothing I do has any effect on anything so I don't care.
And I have the exact opposite opinion about Skyrim, it feels like nothing I do has any effect on anything so I don't care.
Not a large affect, but an NPC walking around who might not have been or saying thank you is enough for me.
Wes Johnson is a pretty cool guy. Made my day.
Did I ever post my story about the time he threw a chicken leg at my friend's head?

Agree about nothing matters in Skyrim. I find it strange and fascinating that Bioware mentioned they want to make Dragon Age 3 more like Skyrim because choices really matter in Skyrim. What version of Skyrim did they play?

Is it post your character time again? [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/HOWDOISCREENSHOT.png[/t] This is my only decent-ish screenshot at the moment, I'll take some later.
Would love it if they added "Adoring Fan" to Skyrim in a different way. God, I'd download spell and weapon mods just to kill him.

Here's my character. He should have a sword hanging from his belt too, but I can't get that to work. Does anyone know any great mods for armors, followers, creatures and or roleplay elements? Right now I'm going through the GEMS list and I have found a few things but nothing really that will always be with in my gameplay.
I want to get skyrim but my wallet is as dense as an african child right now so I thought I could find some cheaper copies at places other than steam. I saw people selling used copies on amazon but don't you have to redeem the key on steam?

It drastically enhances armors, it's not overpowered (unlike alot of other stuff) and sometimes I wonder if a piece is vanilla or added by the mod. Also Immersive Weapons is awesome. For roleplaying I use Bandoliers Bags and Pouches and a lightweight camping mod. There's also Frostfall, but honestely it sucks. I died while talking to the greybeards outside the monastery during the main quest. It's just not realistic dying after a few minutes of cold outside.
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/36911/ That mod name, I'm disappointed in the fact there are no dildos.
