I'm surprised the nexus haven't even discovered chim. They could theoretically get away with anything! Except from engine limitations and hard-coded content.
why do people care about what mods other people use and why
why do people care about what mods other people use and why
I don't, I just love to hear their half-assed reasons for it being lore-friendly :v:

I don't, unless they start posting pictures.

Slutrim is Lore-friendly. Naked people are always friendly.
I have made Skyrim into Slutrim. I will be away for many hours...
I assume everyone looks like this now.

Yes, give or take levels of clothing.
Speaking of which where's that armor from?
Ohmes-raht are basically men with cat tails, why can't there be one with ears.
Catgirls are still dumb though.
There's a massive difference between tails and ears. Besides, if the fact that Ohmes-raht are just men with tails was clearly stated, why would there be a subspecies that looks just like humans, but with cat tails that wasn't mentioned?
Why is everyone here worried about lore?
In a universe that has CHIM?
CHIM is kind of dumb, but at least it's feasible as a concept.
Shit, CHIM couldn't even properly explain catgirls; unless someone who had achieved it made someone a catgirl (I wouldn't put that beyond Vivec, but he's not around as of Skyrim).
why do people care about what mods other people use and why
I reserve the right to point out my differing opinions. I don't really care that someone has a catgirl character, but if they show me I'll tell them that I think it looks dumb.
I don't see how adding cat ears to your character enhances your Skyrim experience.
Not that I have any issue with anyone using them, you play the game how you want to I'll do the same.
I just don't understand how it improves either your gameplay or roleplaying experience.
Sitting and editing the leveled lists for all skyrim armor. Could someone please just fucking tell me that Bethesda included a flowchart so i can see the immediate first leveled calculation that includes the items.
why are people even complaining about how realistic video games are? they are video GAMES after all.
why are people even complaining about how realistic video games are? they are video GAMES after all.
For the plot?
Also, some can see it kind of like a simulator. Perhaps they want to feel like they're doing something despicable (mass murder) without actualy getting in lawful or moral trouble?
why are people even complaining about how realistic video games are? they are video GAMES after all.
It's not about how realistic they are. Bipedal cat people are unrealistic, but they're thematically consistent with a fantasy setting. That's the crutch.
While people with cat ears make sense in fantasy, they don't make sense in TES (or at least they're not consistent), so that's what people get pissy about. Myself included.
If I wanted a game that was totally unrealistic and off the wall I'd play something that didn't have the pretense of realism. Skyrim and the other TES games take a perverse approach to realism, where lots of stuff happens that couldn't happen in reality (such as magic), but the consequences of that stuff is logical (people getting charred when they cock up a fire spell).

I grabbed an image from the first page I don't know any mods involved.
Speaking of lore unfriendly mods, let's move over to the part of the thread where we bash the nexus again:

[sp]I can't let a good shitstorm go, I apologise[/sp]
How they are as a concept doesn't matter as much as how well they fit with the Elder Scrolls. They're only borderline feasible, so while I can accept that you want to have them in your game, it should be expected that people will get annoyed when they see it.

Don't bother arguing with him, he seems to be about as obsessed with catgirls as some kind of religious person. Arguing would only make it worse.
whos idea was it to make khajiit look like housecats anyway?
they could have looked so badass

I think they look pretty badass in Skyrim, here's my old sneak+dagger+illusion char before I lost the save.

They do look pretty badass, if not in the same way as Orcs or something.
Here's a good question for you guys, what was the first race you ever played as in a TES game?
For me it was an Argonian in Oblivion. They looked cool, and could breathe underwater. That's an easy sell for a 13 year old me.

I'd rather not drag this argument out further as well, though I will say that I dislike kawaii uguu stuff as much as most people here, same with skimpy armor as well (even though i'm willing to make exceptions sometimes, depends on the armor I suppose) Basically what i'm getting at is when I make my characters, I try not to make them slutty or kawaii uguu or that kind of shit, i try to make them as plausible and practical as I can.

My first was Imperial in Oblivion, and had the character until I changed computers without transferring saves. So when making a new one, I decided to choose something else, then I found out Khajiit had night vision and the ability to scare off enemies, so I went with that in my primary saves in every Elder Scrolls game ever since.

Khajiit in Skyrim look kind of badass, sort of like tigers or lions. In Oblivion, they look like furry hot air balloons. In Morrowind they look like something an ancient Egyptian would have drawn. In Arena and daggerfall, they are catman and catwoman, fighters of crime with open shits!
And then there's stuff like this:

I think the first race I played was a Nord warrior in Oblivion :v:
First race I ever played was an Imperial in Oblivion.
I wound up abandoning that file after a very short time, then switched to mainly playing Argonians.
I always play as an Imperial male. Dunno why.

For me it was a Redguard back in Morrowind, mainly because I liked their traits and figured those would come in handy and then I played through Oblivion the first time as a Redguard aswell. Currently I am playing as an Orc in skyrim though.
