Plus you need it for the Dawnguard DLC.
What happens if you sell it to the guy, and then do Dawnguard? Does he just give it you back?
Because if you're starving, you can't eat a scroll that defies time and space.
Sure you can
but then you become both hungry and full at the same time for eternity

kinda like Schrödinger's stomach

He asks for you to pay him back for it.
I wanna play this game again, post race/class suggestions!
Light skinned Imperial who specializes in Two Handed and light armour and just be GUTS!
When that librarian in the College of Winterhold offered to buy the elder scroll (An incredibly powerful, priceless artifact) for only 2,000 gold, I was disappointed.
Worth/rarity is something that has generally degraded the past two games.
In Morrowind, special shit was actually RARE. You couldn't just level up high enough and all of a sudden every motherfucker in the world owns a set of glass/daedric armor. Even Orcish/Dwarven/Ebony items were hard to come by. Everyone had common items because the majority of people are poor/normal people who would never leave their homes or cities.
So when you did find something, it was special; a defining moment in the game. "WOW a Daedric artifact!" It's exciting!
And no, you can't sell any of it because most of it was worth more money than anyone had. That's why it's special. Very few people have those things. They have really dumbed down a lot of things, and it's disappointing for sure.
Did anyone else make Greyland their house in Oblivion? I didn't feel like going far from Leyawiin and I completed the quest, so one marauder dragging later, home sweet home.
fuck new page
Sorry if this is a common question, but I'm starting up Oblivion for the first time in a couple of years. What're the best mods to improve raw combat, and what are the best rebalancing mods?

The first 50 on the adult only nexus list
Does the object "DA16VaerminaStatue" mean anything to you guys? Because Skyrim is crashing on startup again, and that's the only thing that's mentioned in the papyrus log.
Here it is:
[06/10/2013 - 07:31:10AM] Papyrus log opened (PC)
[06/10/2013 - 07:31:10AM] Update budget: 1.200000ms (Extra tasklet budget: 1.200000ms, Load screen budget: 500.000000ms)

[06/10/2013 - 07:31:10AM] scripts\da16vaerminastatue.pex : error: Unable to find object "DA16VaerminaStatue"

It seems to be.... A statue of Vaermina!!!! Hm, did you remove any mods on that save recently?
I wouldn't know. I can't even get to the main menu. It gets to the black screen and then just sits there. Task Manager says the program stops responding, generally right as it starts up.
[editline]10th June 2013[/editline]
This is also a fresh install, so I haven't removed any mods, only added them.
DA16 is probably Vaermina's quest (Daedric 16), so the statue must be connected to that quest somehow. Do any of your mods effect daedric quests?
So I did some testing. I can get to the main menu perfectly fine when I start Skyrim up normally. Then it crashes when I try to load a save. If I start Skyrim with the skse_loader, it stops responding a second or two after it first starts up.
Go into your data\scripts\ and look for a da16vaerminastatue.pex file and delete it or move it somewhere.

I do have a mod that changes daedric artifacts, I'll check and see if that's causing the issue.

It doesn't exist actually, I checked already.
[editline]10th June 2013[/editline]
Alright, so disabling that artifacts mod changed nothing.
You can try to start with a fresh profile. Skyrim saves some information even when you reinstall in the following directories:
- My Documents\My Games\Skyrim
- ApplicationData\Skyrim (or something like that, but it's a hidden directory).
Chances are some DLC.txt file in your appdata directory is still looking for a mod that might not exist. Simply rename those folders to check if the problem persists
edit: the missing PEX file might be a part of skse, if you reinstall make sure to install the Scripts directory from skse into your Skyrim dir.

I've already done that, now I need regular mods.

Renamed both folders in both locations, the problem still persists. And the script doesn't seem to be one of SKSE's, so I'm at a loss as to what to do.

I have to go for now, I'll be back in a few hours.
Why the fuck is Dual Sheath Redux such a bitch to install?
Seriously... Why does it need to be so complicated? I just wanna stick my shield on my back. Fuck it, I'm just gonna go back to DSPSOB, at least that one fucking worked.

I have experienced your pain.
Sure let me just install this... Oh, I need the patch to make it work with these weapons, alright... Right, now I apparently need a new skeleton mod, oh god how do I computer!? I guess this animation mod makes it nicer... oh, wait, I need FNIS to make it work... Whoop, FNIS doesn't like custom skeletons very much, better install that last, then.
And then you need a million patches for everything to work.
Because if you're starving, you can't eat a scroll that defies time and space.
Why can't you just use the scrolls that defies space and time to go back to the imperial city, back in the days where nobody cared when you looked through the trash and all the barrels were full of carrots, lettuce, clothes, quills and horse castration tools.

And if you want to the patcher to work you need to use BOSS, and if you don't want to use BOSS you need to use SUM, and if you don't want to use either, fuck off. And for some reason, its going to conflict with your footprints mod, but not the base mod, just the Ash footprint supplement.
Just put my shield. On my back.
I swear to God I will murder your face off.
holy shit I didn't know something like DSPSOB existed, thanks guys :D
Is anybody else having trouble connecting to the Skyrim nexus?
From what I understand the Vaermina quest is buggy and known to cause crashes in the vanilla game, particularly when you try to save around the miasma/dreamworld part. It will either crash while trying to save or the save will crash on load.
I think your best bet would be to load an earlier save and then try to do that quest in one go without saving until it's over (turn off autosave while you're doing this too)
I wanna play this game again, post race/class suggestions!
Dunmer Assassin. Chaotic Evil, no morals/value for human life. Don't necessarily walk around punching babies because Evil, but you should ultimately do things that benefit yourself entirely, not caring about anybody else, and so on.
Example: Get the Wabbajack and want to test it to see what it does? Shoot some random civilian with it. Some merchant charge you a price that you consider way too high? Wait for him to be alone, cut his throat, and collect the weap- Dammit, Merchant chests. Well, you you should get the general idea.
Well, he's crashing at startup apparently.
Yeah, I don't think I've ever even started Vaermina's quest once in Skyrim, I don't even remember where it is.

Wow when I stopped playing last night I saved directly in the middle of the quest. Hope the unofficial patch fixes it or I'm boned.
Nexus can easily replace a Hot Girls thread.

No dragons. 0/10 would not lore.
Heard some of the Oblivion soundtrack and I decided to reinstall it again. I've got a bunch of mods I'm gonna download I pulled off the most popular lists from the nexus, are there any good "immersion" ones people use?
