The Elder Scrolls Megathread XV: A Song of Ice and Draugr - Games

I'd love to see that as a landmark after you've finished the main questline. I wonder what the dragons think about spending their afterlife inside the dragonborn or simply being used together with two other dragons for a shout the dragonborn will use maybe twice, and then forget about.

I won't get into detail but from the few hours I played of TSO I feel the game has evolved into something with good potential compared to what it use to be. Also I plan to play several hours tonight when the servers are live again. If you have beta access and wanna group up just add me on steam.

[editline]15th June 2013[/editline] Just learned that the Blades Trainers [sp]offer you stuff if you pester them about the Blades - but only if you're at a sufficiently low level[/sp] - and of course I then have to find out that agents of the Empire also traffick in drugs. Hilariously sleazy; I hope someone mods in a Dark Alliance soon just to make the lore just that one step more all-encompassing.

Haha, I was looting a house and one of the books on the book shelf was 10 pages long and only said "Blah blah blah blah blah" gotta love placeholders in beta.

For the people in the ESO beta, is it at least better than that leaked video showed? It looked horrible and generic.

the very first battle that starts at 04:24 in that E3 demo video is the main reason for why I have a hard time enjoying the TES games; that boring, grindy combat where you're just pressing one button over and over with no weight behind the blows. [editline]16th June 2013[/editline] the game looks a lot like it will play and feel like Skyrim which is atleast a step up from the typical MMORPG with hotbar combat that I was expecting :v:

The name's strange, but not impossible to be an Argonian name. That part that stood out to me is she just plainly says "Praise Sithis"

i think they might have gotten "hist" and "sithis" mixed up or something.

At least the Argonian looks a lot better then the very first images of then.

There's more to it. Being able to just say goodbye is one, the font is another, the fact that she openly hails sithis, and that she has no poison resistance because "lol skyrim"

well in lore there are Argonians that worship sithis, but I don't think she is one. As I'm saying, if you were to replace that Argonian with another of a different race, it would work fine. So I'm thinking bug.

Also please tell me that they're not still using the terrible gray color filter with rubbery specular lighting, bleeding bloom (there's probably a technical word for this that I don't know about), and HORRENDOUS application of HDR adaptation from Skyrim. Skyrim looks so much better with shaders turned off that it's rather sad. At least those shadows aren't blocky. Hopefully they also don't constantly jitter like the default ones in Skyrim do due to the sun moving around (who knows how the sun works in TES?). Then again, I doubt the shadows in an MMORPG are going to be that dynamic because it would demolish the framerate.
