Nah, not realy. Cities further away from eachother, but each with more inside. Sparser dungeons and camps, but with more in each camp. Bigger environments, but with more features. If you can't think of ways to make everyone happier, you shouldn't be designing games.
Except I just offered preferences of people from a very recent dispute, youre not considering all the other variables and trying to figure out the majority preference and going with that. As I blatantly said, I am not saying Bethesda chose the right choice for skyrim, I am just saying it is understandable WHY they went the way they did.
You're taking a nice, relaxing stroll outside. It's Heartfire, autumn is setting in, and small snowflakes drift to the ground occasionally. It's a nice, clear night the air is crisp and cold. You smile as a light breeze blows, trickling your beard with a cool sensation. Your wife is getting the children ready for bed, but you're somewhat worried. What if this winter is just like last year? Will their be enough food? you look to the sky for comfort. Dragonsreach is in the distance, the moon peeking out from behind. But the moon seems, different. As you remain puzzled by it, a voice seems to boom from the sky. A simple, somewhat idiotic voice. All it states is "I'm da moon." before fading away. For someone who never really uses hand-to-hand combat, I'm pretty good at brawls.
I always had to use the console to end the brawl because otherwise they literally go on for forever if you don't have anything that buffs your hand-to-hand damage.
Well Khajiit do get a boost in unarmed, so that could explain why they only seem to last 5 seconds for me. It really helped in Cidhna Mines.

Some weird stuff that's happened since I installed Civil War Overhaul. So in the Battle for Whiterun, siding with the Imperials. I go outside, for some reason, Lydia, whom I left back at my home at Lakeview manor. She is supposed to take care of the home and stuff. One of my two adopted children, my daughter was there as well. Now, I have the Killable Children mod as well. So I step outside as the battle is about to begin, but when I do one of the Whiterun guards is murdering my daughter and they're attacking lydia. They weren't even supposed to be there. Lydia made it back at least, but my poor daughter is dead :(. I went to Riften for the quest there. I was attacked instantly by the Riften guard, even though I am not wearing my Imperial uniforms. I'm also part of the thieves guild, no previous bounty. One beggar dead because he fought back. The Black Briars fought hard and valiantly and now the entire Riften guard lay dead. I'm really liking the Civil War Overhaul, the battles are more fun, challenging, and longer. The quests that were added back in are pretty fun as well.
See that's why nobodys really realizing the big picture Small game worlds or big game worlds aren't really the important thing, you can have both be excellent with the right design The problem is, a game like Skyrim thrives off focusing the design around the game world, exploration, and legitimizing your character in relation with this world, but it does an awful job at it. Skyrim's overall game design is focused on keeping you doing quests - its doing the "GTA IV" solution to open world design where they try to ignore that there is an actual world you are in, and instead focus on all their design efforts on linear "not-open world" questing that ends up being not very good at all, because Bethesda aren't exactly as good at doing linear mini-adventures as good as Rockstar are. It's an open world game that doesn't embrace the advantages open world game design can offer. Instead of focusing on the world, the experience of being in a new world in general, the feeling of immersion you can get in such a setting, gameplay mechanics that reinforce exploration and finding your own adventure and purpose (all these things are things ONLY possible in open world style games)... Skryim focuses on questing and having you quest constantly for fear of making you "bored". It's a rather shallow mentality to design a game like Skyrim in my opinion, and its why I sitll think Morrowind is the best elderscrolls game because Morrowind's entire design focus didn't revolve completely around questing, it revolved around the mythos and experience of Vvardenfel in general. It's part of the reason why I'm pretty excited for Witcher 3, because they seem to be taking that route despite the game being very story-focused.
The Witcher is kind of misleading everyone on the terms of it's open world. In the trailer, it said, "Multi-Region Open World" which is obvious that there will be multiple open worlds on a smaller scale. Imagine like if all the holds were separate regions and there was pretty much one was in or out of a hold, go through a loading screen, and into the next one. That is how I suspect The Witcher 3 will work. It's not true open world, but it gets the job done.

Hell, Carlotta Valentia violently murdered at least a dozen guards without even taking a scratch. Unfortunately, we lost our dear friend, Adrianne Avenicci. She slew well for Skyrim, despite her roots as a Cyrodillic. May Sovngarde rest her soul.

The most appealing part of Skyrim is the "do-what-you-want" playstyle where you can be a drifter living off the lands or a hero. And of course the modding community. The Witcher 3 looks more like a Kingdoms Of Amalur open world where there are fixed paths to follow without any need for going back to an already explored place. It's too bad there are no other true open world RPGs besides Bethesda games. If there were, the bar would be raised for the next TES game.
Let's play the game "name all the things wrong with this image"
Argonians often openly worship Sithis alongside the Hist, but still, it's like driving down the road and picking up a hitchhiker who greets you with "Hail Mega-Satan!".

Hey, I need some CK help. I have two characters, a player character A and an NPC follower B. How do I put A's appearance on B? I used SavePCFace and tried importing the look, but it just fucked it up.
I'm wondering, what is Bethesda working on anyways Zenimax online is doing TESO And there is no more DLC to Skyrim. SO WHAT ARE THEY DOING?
I'm wondering, what is Bethesda working on anyways Zenimax online is doing TESO And there is no more DLC to Skyrim. SO WHAT ARE THEY DOING?
It may or may not be Fallout.

Uncle Phil. Probably one of the best sitcom characters I've ever seen.

Don't fuck with Whiterun. #freeskyrim #stormcloak_4_lyfe [editline]19th June 2013[/editline] Keep in mind, this was with overhaul installed and active.
The civilians helped because you probably aided them, and they had a high disposition with you. NPCs with high dispositions towards you tend to aid you in battle.
Since when did Skyrim have a disposition system?
Since when did Skyrim have a disposition system?
Since launch.
The civilians helped because you probably aided them, and they had a high disposition with you. I turned in the Fire salts to the blacksmith and checked my inventory. A couple different types of arrows were crowding my weapons tab so I dropped some stacks of Iron and steel. I closed my inventory and turned around. Some other shopkeeper I had just previously done a quest for saw the arrows and the ground and ran for them. She literally called dibs, but Mjoll, whom had just gotten her sword back, wanted the arrows just as much. They fought to the death over some garbage I had dropped on the ground. No one even said anything when Mjoll cut her open. I just stood there in shock. I started to walk away when a courier tapped me on the shoulder with a letter. It was the shopkeeper's, whom I had just witnessed getting murdered, will. Apparently she left her estate of 100g to me. D:

I remember how they hyped up the new radiant AI features. It wasn't that good.

Are there any mods that let me become chief of my own orc tribe?
